We busted out!

 Now that Lily is feeling better and since she has been cooped up in the house for days...we enjoyed seeing the movie, Wicked and then had a late lunch/early dinner eating Mexican to cap it off!

The picture is fitting.......................green...goes.....well....with pink..............

Green is the 'Wicked Witch'..............and the pink.............is Galinda, the 'Good Witch'

part of the 'theme' to watch the movie is to wear green or pink............

but when you watch the movie...the 'Wicked Witch' really isnt...............but.........hmmm...is Galinda??!?!

(Well, we have to stay tuned to Part 2 of the next movie. So...whenever that eventually comes out, we can see how it ends....) but....

I am leaning that pink....the 'Good Witch' really isnt 'good'.....................

so...Alexis was demonstrating...............how...........she may be evil!

Thanksgiving....a little different

 This year our Thanksgiving looked a little different since Lily was sick with the flu. So she was out for the count and Tyler and I had to alternate plans to help stay with her.

We made the best of it and Lily is feeling so much better too!

Lily and I didnt get to go to Hubbards with the Law's, but Lex and I got to go to Birmingham with my side. 

Always a fun time and I was so happy Blake and Margie were in town!

This baby girl!...........adorable!

Alexis was in Heaven with all the attention! These babies loved her!

Goldie couldnt get enough of Lex! And...sweet, sweet Maggie girl! I loved seeing how far she has come with getting around. She scooted all the way across the room and got herself up on the spinning thing! SO great to see!

They had fun together! LOVE it!

Kicking off our Tgiving break!

 To kick off our Thanksgiving break.....besides seeing the Messer girls (that I never got a picture of), Lily enjoyed spending an evening with her bestie, Reese. She had dinner with us and they enjoyed 'hanging out' :)

I did get to have this picture snapped! We celebrated Emily's birthday since it was days before while they were in town. Always a great time with this crew!

Friendsgiving!

 Alexis is currently having her best friends together with a Friendsgiving, at WK's house, and she was so excited to make a banner!

They are having a 'Bring your own Board' party!

she made the banner, with the help of Nyla, and it turned out so cute!

She also was excited to bring her sandwiches on her platter she made from her pottery class too!

but we had a great Saturday enjoying The Rays, the Messers and Leigha over just catching up since the Messers are in town!

When you get dissed at the Caf

 So, Tyler and I were heartbroken the other day by Lily!

She was TOOOO cool for school! :)

We went to the Caf to eat and the next thing we know, Reese is walking up (as we are thinking she is going to sit with us) as Lily is picking up her plate and her drink.............

to completely move away from us and sit..........

as they instantly looked at us like we were NOT cool and they popped up at that table like they were college kids!

Yeah, you really had to be there to understand........but yeah, totally decided they were not going to be spotted with us! :)

Sarah (Reese's Mom) came over looking for her and when I gave her the side eye, she looked over and knew exactly how it went down! ha!

So...just a glimpse of our future! :) Two college girls hanging out while eating dinner and chatting! Living their best life! :)

STATE Runner-ups!

It has been tough..........but they have killed it and it showed last night at STATE!

Even when it rains!

 Last night, I was exhausted. Especially after not getting into bed until close to midnight the night before...

and, it was raining....and just so dark soooo early....with

working all day....

BUT...I knew once I was there....that it would be great!

And, that is exactly how it was!

Instead of me cancelling, I had a great dinner, lots of laughs and with some book fun thrown in too!

Regional Runner-ups!

 These girls have had to find and pull deep down this year and their hard work finally paid off Tuesday night!

WHEW, it made for a LONG night with them not competing until 7:45pm. Awards were at 9:20pm. 

Did I mention.....it was a Tuesday....

soooo...

BUT, they did OUTSTANDING! I am shocked that they came in 2nd but so happy for them! There was only a point difference between them and 1st and I feel they should have won.......

but they got a bid to State so that is huge too!

They had a great day together! Lunch for the win!

Then they all headed to Bham! All the teams waiting for the results!

Basketball, here we are!

 I told you...

we rolled from football to basketball.....in a blink!

First HOME game was HUGE last night!

Oxford came on top which was a bummer but the crowd was HUGE and the energy was fun anyway!

Loved seeing our Junior during her basketball time!

She cheered 3 games last night! But.........she loves it!

Lily's STATE Cross Country meet in the books!

 Lily has had such a great season and experience in Cross Country!

She wasnt going to do it, at first, but I am so glad she decided to because she has loved it!

Cant wait to see her in Track and Soccer next (in the Spring) and her continue growing and being the best she can be!

Whew, we were there BRIGHT and early and alllll day! We didnt get home until 5:30pm that night! But, we enjoyed lunch, with the team, and some shopping since we were in Cullman. Let me tell you, Cullman is SO nice. We drove around just looking at all the area and LOVED it!

These TWO! Dynamic duo I tell ya! They are the youngest on the team..............but DO NOT let that fool you!

HAD to have a STATE shirt! It has ALL of the names that made it on the back. Talk about TINY writing but she was excited to find her name!

Now, she ended with 4th on the team...so not 2nd...so no dog (Im not sad) but SO proud of her and how far she came this season especially with it her first year! I cannot wait to keep watching her!

Now for a little break...and to gear up for Spring!

Last game of her Junior year!

 Friday night marked the last football game for Alexis' Junior year. They made it to the first round of playoffs but came up short against Scottsboro. 

Being new in a division has been tough but I have no doubt they will acclimate and adjust in the years to come!

So, thus finishes football.................BUT dont you worry, we are head diving straight into basketball (that starts TONIGHT!) 

Whew! :)

Last time on a football field...but dont worry, there is MORE to come....just on a basketball court!
