I mean, I have to say, she is in 7th grade! Lets start there! Now, she knows her max, she knows how to push it, she knows.
But, does she get in her head and have off times?! Yes. And, that is what happened last night even though....in the grand scheme of the running world, her times were still pretty good! She knows what she needs to do, she knows what she needs work on...and that she needs to get out of her head and focus. So, all these things.......will come.
It depends on her!
So, what got her flustered was her running the 3200 for the first time. Yeah, she could have done better. Alot better. But, she ran it in 14.25! I mean, try running 2 miles in that! Yeah, nope! ha!
Her 800, she did great! Ran it in 3.02!
Then she was flat exhausted for the 1600 so she didnt do good at all, with a 6:58, though it was under 7 minutes! Rachel came in 1st running it...........with the same time Lily ran last week and got 3rd. So, she was bummed (though excited for Rachel).
So, like I said, she will get there. She has work to do. She knows. So, we can only go by how she wants to push and I think, after last night, she'll get it figured out!
I got a picture of the start of 3200. A lot of guys and girls. Those boys, lapped like crazy, it was impressive! Didnt snag a picture of the 800 start. Boo!
