The rest of our long weekend!

ALLLL the FALL things are BACK and a long weekend...what could be better!

Auburn WON last night (odd and didnt like they played on a Friday night, but loved the win!) and ALL the football over the weekend, and then all the Cross Country fun, got my pumpkins out...........got all the 'Fall' out and just so enjoying this long weekend! Lily has Reese's birthday party at Six Flags, tomorrow, and it will be her first time to go. She is SO excited! And, we have just been enjoying the beautiful weather and NO work!

We werent able to go to the Alexandria vs Jville home game but did get to enjoy the JAX State Foothills Cross Country meet and have Lily see allllll the different colleges that participated. There as a huge turnout and all the big colleges were there!

JAX State boys placed 1st followed by Auburn and then Samford. JAX State girls placed 2nd with Auburn winning and UAB in 3rd. 

Hated to miss the football game but so enjoyed this!

Meet Lornah, my Nursing student who is from Kenya and runs on the JAX State team! I have LOVED getting to know her and she is just the sweetest and was so excited to see us support and talk to Lily and Pearson about all things 'tips' on running! LOVED!

Then they found Racheal and they enjoyed hanging out and watching it all together!

And this morning, after Lily's meet, this one and I painted her Senior parking spot before she went to work. Not done with it...................but we will finish it up over the rest of the weekend!

I think it turned out super cute even though this is not the original idea. Yeah the paint colors, we originally bought, turned out real bad so she improvised! 

This group of girls has a great friendship!

Lily's first time was a hit!

And, Tyler and I did a spur of the moment bike ride together! It was a perfection of an evening for a neighborhood ride!

 Today was the Oxford Invitational!

Lily killed it today! Only but UP now!....fingers crossed!

She had a PR with 24.11!

We'll take that!

Rachel killed it and WON! Girls team came in 7th and boys came in 5th. They are improving and that's what counts!

My 3 most favorite moments of a cross country meet:

1. When all the teams and ALL the girls are lined up and READY!

2. Watching them all fly past me!

3. Seeing/Spotting Lily when she is coming up by where we are watching

She was a literal blur by me the whole time! She came up faster on me that I was expecting so I never got camera ready. She did so good!

Weekend recap!

 Busy was an understatement...

I have mentioned in the past several posts that I have enjoyed our slower weekends because all the craziness was starting back....

well, this past weekend was it!

We are back with the late nights and early mornings with the football games and the cross country meets!

So, we are in the thick of it and rolling along!

Then Sunday was full of Church and then the girls had a 'fun day' by going to see Freakier Friday movie together while Tyler and I did this!

Well, he did this! I just watched!

What can he NOT do these days!

He is really doing a great job of being fit and healthy! Very proud of him!

 Late nights and early mornings....these days...but OH, I love it all!

She did 26.14 today. Now, time to improve that because I know it is in her and she is determined!

 We had a very fun girl's day and night!

Yes, I let them 'skip' school a little bit yesterday and it made for a very late night..........and BOY was this morning EARLY....

but we had the best time and I hope the girls always remember our time together.

We had lunch, did a ton of fun shopping and then enjoyed the concert!

Katy put on a great show and oh my goodness is she not so gorgeous and talented!

We hit Lennox Mall and alllllll the shops!

Then on to the concert!

Alexis has loved Katy since she was little. Katy played alllll the hits and both of these girls belted all the songs out too!

Not sure what was going on but she got started late so everyone kind of went out for food or just out in the hallway area, so we felt like VIP in our own little area for a bit!

Then it was time! She was great! 

She preformed right by us for most of the show which was really cool! I have had two caffeine drinks this morning...so I am doing just fine! ha!
