NYC Part 2!

Day 2 we were up and ready to hit the Financial district, 9/11 Museum, Statue of Liberty and then back to the hotel for a bit before hitting Chelsea Market (which everyone hated but me. It was in the more 'neighborhood' part of NYC, Chelsea with beautiful brickstone homes and then the market that was quaint and more 'higher class' shops and decor, etc).............yeah, the crew I was with rather have Chinatown! ha! but I can say I went (because even I havent been there, just heard about it) then we hit Times Square at night and all the things there!

So, on our last trip, Nick was SUPER scared of the rats in Washington D.C. I mean they were HUGE, and disgusting so I get it but it just took it OVER the top. So, on this trip, I brought a fake one! ha! Tammy...AKA...Momma Bear 'killed the rat' by Nick...and saved his life! ha!

Made our way to the 9/11 Museum and the Financial District .....and even the good ole Running Bull!

My favorite part of the museum. Humbling I say!

So at lunch on this day, I didnt know exactly where we would be so we had on the itinerary to just all decide and find a place. Well, everyone wanted Mexican food. So, we go into a Mexican restaurant and order....

Well, we get our food and the lady brings out this. None of us ordered this. Well, she gets snippy with Alexis Johnson...saying 'Yes...yes, you did order chicken and fries' to which she was like no, I ordered a chicken quesadilla. Well, when all the food was out except for my Alexis', I put it together.

So, Alexis ordered chicken and rice.

Well, this is what the Asian lady working at a Mexican restaurant translated a Southern Alabamian's meal order!

ha! We all died laughing. So I had to explain (slowly) because the language barriers were strong on both sides.....

to finally get her chicken and (mexican) rice.

The food was delicious for all of us...by the way... but talk about an experience! ha!

Chelsea Market. See behind us!! The decor there was gorgeous. It was right up my alley but everyone else, including these two, were ready to leave................................and then that is what we did.

To head to wait in LINE here.....

It was wrapped TWICE  around the building.....but it moved, semi okay, and we made it in!

It was all worth it...............for the kids that outnumbered us, remember, so it was worth it! Everyone got their (much anticipated Jellycats) and candy so they were all happy campers!

And then right outside from there was THIS! This was a very crowded area (of course) but we got to see it and then went a different way around the crowds to dinner and then Times Square so we didnt care one bit for it being packed there!

Radio City and this area was just so pretty with all the lights!

Love this picture! These ornaments with snow on them (the next day when we saw them, even more gorgeous!) but I didnt get a picture of that! boo!
Candy Canes, so beautiful!

Our tree picture!
Then, next, Times Square! We hit some shops and then headed back to crash for the night! Day 2 was a success!
You can see the New Years Eve ball in the very back of the picture! One of my favorite parts of our trip was we all yelled as we counted down from 10 and then said Happy New Year! ha! Everyone looked at us funny but it was fun as we pretended the ball dropped!
Group picture to round out Day 2!
But not before walking past Saks 5th Avenue for the light show! So pretty and so fun!
Beautiful!
