Big girl is 2!

I will never forget the afternoon that I had Lily! It was an experience like nothing I had ever known! She came into this world when she was good and ready....and to this day, she does everything on her on terms! :) She is the most squeezable, lovable, and just fun little girl (with a determination and seriousness about her too!)  I am sooo blessed and honored that God chose me to be her Mommy! I am so thankful for her! :) Lily Grace Law....happy birthday! :)

And today on her big day!! She is 2!!

A purple, kitten picture day!

Today was an interesting and busy day!

 Lily had picture day today! I cant wait to see how her pictures turn out! Alexis had her "best day" of the week, COLOR day! Today was purple day! :) It was even more great because purple is her favorite color {besides pink} she says!

As you can tell by her face...she wasnt in the mood for a picture in her purple outfit! :)

This morning was pretty interesting! As I was walking into work, I saw a student in the bushes! I asked her what she was doing and if she needed help and about that time I heard a baby cry animal noise. There was a kitten {who looks to be about 3 weeks old} that had been abandoned! :( I cornered the kitten while Sadie caught him! {We later determined it was a he!} :)

Well, Sadie had to go to class....which then left me to take care of the kitten! So, I had a friend with me in my office all day! Everyone was calling me "cat lady!" :) ...on top of the fact that some people thought I had eaten cat food because they saw the plate and a knife, but no cat because it was asleep!

It is the cutest kitten and SO tiny! A couple of co~workers and I decided his name should be Wallace {Wallie} since he was found at Wallace Hall! I dont know if Sadie is going to keep that name...but the whole day that I "baby~sat" him, he seemed to like his name! :)

Donna Etheredge was nice enough to bring him some food and a crate to sleep in so besides wanting to be held ...alot....and crying a little, he was fine! Christie {his other Mommy} helped me take turns holding him so he wouldnt cry! :) It was a group effort for this poor kitten!

Such a sweet and tiny face! His little cry was so pitiful! I just dont understand some people and why they do the things they do! They could have abandoned him at a vet or somewhere....not at the College of Nursing! :(

Wordless Wednesday!

Tough one...

Tonight was a tough one....in couple of ways! What I mean by that is, JSU played against Auburn in volleyball! :) It was a tough one because I didnt know who to cheer for!{ I am and will be forever devoted to Auburn!}...{BUT, I love JSU too, and JSU now pays our bills!} :)

 I ended up actually cheering for both sides! It was a tough one for JSU because Auburn crushed them in all three matches. So, I do have to say War Eagle! :)

We had dinner with the Frits and then they watched the game with us! We had a great night...even with it being a Monday! :)

Carli and Alexis have WAY tooo much fun together! :)

Birthday girl!

My sweet baby had her birthday party today! She was so excited about it, even though I dont think she really understood what was going on! She just loved that everyone she loves was around her...and that she could play with everybody! :)

Alexis was just as excited about Lily's party too! Everyone Alexis saw at Church this morning....heard from her that today was Lily's party! :) Alexis said she loved the decorations...loved that her friends got to come over too and play, and she even LOVED some of Lily's gifts!...yeah, she needs a lesson in understanding things better....for example that Lily's gift are not hers even if she likes them alot! :) She told Tyler that a cute little dog purse was Lily's and hers. {OOHH me!!}

Everyone at the party enjoyed just catching up talking, while the kids played outside..and inside, jumped on the trampoline, swung, and colored! The "Fairy Princess" party was a hit! :)


I do have to admit...I love the decorations for Lily's party! :)

Go Gamecocks!

Tonight marked Lilys' first JSU football game! We took Alexis last year for her first time (2012 season) since Tyler had already started his job by that season! Lily LOVED the game! She cheered, clapped, laughed, waved at Cocky, screamed Cocky's name {10,000 times!}, watched the cheerleaders, watched the band, danced, sang, and played the whole time we were there! She was really good! {which is great because I was wondering how she was going to be!} :) And of course...Alexis loved watching the cheerleaders and the dancers.

Dove season officially started today!....so you know where Tyler was most of the day! Yep, in the woods....shooting his ONE dove! :) {Yeah, he only shot one poor little dove today!} :) So, that left me and the girls at home decorating and cleaning for Lily's 2nd birthday party tomorrow!! WHOO HOO!! :) I love parties! :)

We have pulled two late nighters in a row.....and Alexis and Lily have been troopers! {thank you Lord!} :)

They both were soooo excited to be at the game!

Two Anniston Stars!! :)

Guess what?!?! Two little girls that I know.....are famous now! :) Both Alexis and Lily made it in the Anniston Star newspaper in pictures of the "Spirit on the Mountain" event! I was sooo happy to see both my beautiful girls chosen to make the paper! :)

Friday night....soccer lights!

It is Friday again! OOHH that day we love! :) We have had a great week! The weather is cooling off some and that football/Fall weather is in the air! I LOVE it! :)

Tonight we went to JSU's first soccer game of the season! It was a great night for a game! My girls loved playing, meeting new friends and when not doing that, watching the game! :) We love soccer games..and Alexis REALLY loves them! She gets so excited talking about watching the girls play soccer. We are for sure going to have to let her try soccer herself to see if she likes playing!

Lily had soooo much fun at the game! She wore herself out!

I hate that this is a bad picture....but I just had to post it! Alexis told me she wanted to "meet a friend, Mommy!"....so she did! She was sooo excited to bring her over to my chair and meet me! :) So they all three decide to sit in the same chair together! They were very creative to put their outside leg through the outside so there would be more room for Lily! :) Tooo funny! :)

Blue.....Spangled Banner!....

We had a busy busy day today! Besides the "usual day"....Alexis had wear "blue" day (which is a BIG day around our house..on Thursdays when it is "color" day!) Tonight we had "Spirit on the Mountain" and the JSU pep rally where Alexis sang the 'Star Spangled Banner' on the JSU Football field!! She looked so tiny out there with her group of fellow Kittystoners! :)

We met Nan, Pawpaw, Pam, Richard, Brandon and Gran for the picnic dinner before heading to get Alexis ready to go out on the field! She was SO excited to get to be out on the "big field" and sing! Just the look on her face while she was out there was priceless! :) She came home saying that she wants to be a cheerleader/dancer when she gets bigger because she loved watching the cheerleaders and JSU Ballerinas dance while the bands preformed! :)

Lily even got photographed to be in the newspaper next week! She is famous now! :) I cant wait to see what it looks like and see her name! :) We enjoyed this perfect weathered night with great food and a great time at the pep rally!

We enjoyed a ton of food and there were alot of people that came out for this event! It was great to see everyone enjoying Jacksonville! :)

Wordless Wednesday!

Ray of sunshine!

We have had a low key but great Labor Day weekend. It started off this morning pretty rough with a really big thunderstorm! {We ended up having a little girl in our bed!}...but not Lily, she actually slept late this morning! Call Tyler and I crazy...but we loaded up the girls and didnt let the storm ruin our plans of breakfast at Cracker Barrel and shopping! We were literally the only ones out for the most part! :) But hey...we didnt have to wait long for our breakfast! :)

Nan and Pawpaw invited us over for grilled out pork chops and sides this afternoon! OH it was all good and the girls enjoyed hanging out with Nan and Pawpaw! :) The rain finally let up and the sun is shining now! It was a much needed relaxation weekend before we are back in the groove come tomorrow and gearing up for Lily's birthday party coming up this coming weekend!!! :)
