Tyler is 40!

 Tyler is the BIG 4-0!

Officially yesterday!

The girls were excited to give them homemade cards....we did the traditional 'twizzler' cake complete with him blowing out his candle!

We went to dinner with Gran and Ben to top off the night of fun!

We came home to this in our yard!

Gran decorated our entire front yard! I loved it!

Tyler sort of caught Gran decorating as he was coming home and then going to a work project, he passed them! ha!

He was still surprised when he saw the yard!

Happy birthday!

So very thankful for this guy! We are a lucky group of girls that get to call him ours! We have been together 22 of his 40 years and we are blessed!

A beautiful day to celebrate Tyler!

5K and eggs!

I made it! I did another 5k and I have to say...I love running. There is something about accomplishing it and knowing its done at the end! ha! :)

The girls spent the night with Nan and Pawpaw so I didnt have my sidekick, Lily, with me. In the past she has hung out at the end but I trekked through with Emily and we made great time! 36.13 minutes! I was impressed! And to know I really could have pushed myself more and had a better time makes me smile because I like better times too! :)

After the run, JSU had their Family Easter day filled with face painting, lunch provided and animals among more! The Easter egg hunt finished the day off!

Lily went to play the rest of the afternoon with the Messers, Tyler grilled out and we just relaxed the rest of the day!

What was supposed to have been a nasty day turned out perfection!

The girls went with Nan and Pawpaw to their Church for their egg hunt before coming to the JSU event. Got this sweet picture of them with the twins!

My crew finding me after the run!

When you find your friends...and ice cream and matching face painting is on the agenda!

When Lily finds her friends and the same agenda is happening too!

Easter 2022!

 He is Risen Indeed!

It was supposed to be a rainy dreary weekend and it has turned into a beautiful one!

Church service was beautiful...as usual...Dr. Derek doesnt do anything extra special just because it is Easter but we for sure see faces we havent seen in awhile...and enjoy his sermons just like we do every Sunday!

In our Sunday....Easter....best!...............taking our annual 'front yard' Easter picture! ha!

Two girls that are just growing up!

We headed to Nan's to eat lunch after Church and now we are home....and I took a nap!..........Tyler went turkey hunting and the girls are playing outside!

Great weekend!

He was surprised!

 His exact words were.....

Im shocked! :)

So, I decided to throw together a little dinner with Tyler's closest friends to celebrate his big 4-0...and it was perfection!

It was exactly the low key, relaxed, dinner to show him how much we love him and to just catch up with friends and celebrate!

Dinner was delicious....the laughs...the catch ups.....the happy birthday to Tyler was great!

OH...this was perfection! He had NO idea! :)

Couldnt believe all that was there!

Love!

We missed the Herndons, the Walkers, the Christophers and the Exums but so glad the Messers, the Rays, the Johnsons, the Jarvis', the Sorianos, the Fritts, the Scroggins and the Bonds were able to come!!

Tyler and Bryan go so far WAY back! It was so great having them there!

Love this group! They helped me pull it off! Between Misty helping with decor and Chris picking us up...Tyler didnt see anything and really had no idea when I made it like we were just going to dinner with the Messers! I knew I had to make sure he didnt find out! :)

We love the Johnsons!

The birthday boy!

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday Aubie!

 Ya know...

Aubie's birthday isnt really known....Alexis got him when she was 6 and he was at least a month or two old when she got him...............in July.....

sooo...the calculates to..........Aubie's birthday being in April! :) {Mainly because that helps me remember to celebrate him....because both girls HAVE to make sure he is celebrated....because its my birthday month too!} So....it helps me know that my birthday month is Aubie's! :)

This year...no party hats.........Tyler flat refused............but we did have cupcakes....and we did sing him happy birthday! {And Soccer sang too!} :) :)

The BIG 8!

Our weekend!

Our weekend was full of some chilly weather, sunshine and celebrating Brandi and Nan's birthdays!

On Sunday, after Church and lunch...the weather was perfect and both girls were outside the entire afternoon....until dark...playing with allll their friends. They both bounced from one house to the other and back again.

Just the way I love it and it makes my heart smile that they have such a big group {both of them} to play and make fun memories with!

Enjoyed celebrating!

My view! Lily! She was at Madelyn's at first. Played with that group and had a sprinkler battle. Came home, went to Callies, then down to Ryker's. He couldnt play long so then Brody and Bryant came over and they played until dark!

Lex and WK. Played and rode bikes all afternoon. Bounced from WK's, to Carli's, swam in the pool {but too cold so didnt stay long in it} then to Ben's then this the rest of the time!

OH...and grill cover laying out {the black thing}...........yep....Tyler grilled! YUM!

Wordless Wednesday!

In my opinion, it is needed that you learn from your past to correct mistakes, grow, move closer to God, etc........

however, I also feel that once you have done that to the best of your extent, let it go...move forward and dont live with the burden of knowing you cant leave it in the past. Leave it there and move on to a better tomorrow.

Lily's soccer season is here!

Lily had her first soccer game tonight!

Yeah...hmm...they didnt win....it was cold....it was late....hmmm....Lily played good...she had fun...Im ending on positive notes! :)

I love watching her play and its that time to do it!

My soccer star!

Soccer Mom! Lily picked this shirt out for me when we went to the beach with LaLa and said I have to wear it to every game now! :)

Ready to GO!

In ACTION!

The rest of our weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend and it was busy!

We met the Messer's for dinner on Friday night to kick-off the weekend. We tried somewhere new and it was not all that great. Lily did not like hers {which isnt a surprise but because I didnt like mine, I felt hers was justified! ha!} and they were out of alot, etc. Glad we tried it, though, and know to maybe not go back.

Then Saturday was full of tball and Easter/bday celebrations before Sydney came over to spend the night with Lex while Lily spent the night with Gran and Grey.

Sunday was NON-STOP! We had Church, then lunch, then I had to pick up Lily before we all headed to the parade to celebrate the JHS basketball team's State Championship! Then we had an all afternoon cheer clean up day. I hit Wal-Mart after and by the time we got home, it was 8:00pm! Yep!

We had a great weekend!

These two had fun spending the night with each other. After we got home from Church and lunch, they did TikTocs. They have no idea I took this picture of them dancing. They were too busy laughing and having fun!

The State Champions in the parade carrying the trophy!

It was a great turn-out and a beautiful afternoon to celebrate this honor! The cheerleaders and the band were there too! All the shops on the square were open and were offering free drinks, etc. It was nice!

Early Easter and surprise 40th!

We pulled up, yesterday, to Aunt Pam's and immediately Tyler and I both go............'hey, that's your Dad's/my Dad's car!'

Then I thought...hhhmmm.....I dont think he has that rack on top.....

but then as we were getting out...

Lily comes running up to the car {because she got there earlier because she stayed with Gran after Grey's game} saying 'Nan wants me to wear these glasses.' I looked at her and said....you mean 'Gran?' and she goes 'no, I said Nan.'

So Tyler and I were all kinds of confused until we walked around the back to everyone shouting surprise to both of us!

It was really sweet and a gorgeous day for a cookout and to enjoy Easter and our birthday surprise early!

Yep 40, here we come!

Love this group!

Nannie informed me it has been so hard keeping it all a secret! I am not surprised she said that as much as she likes to talk! :)

Pam invited the Law crew to help celebrate us!

The sunburst is huge in this picture!

Happy birthday!
Then the Easter bunny made his....or her....grand entrance!

Happy Easter!

Grey plays tball!

Grey had his first tball game yesterday and watching him was my FAVORITE!

He was the tiniest by a long stretch against his team and the other! His little legs ran as fast as they could go and he paid attention and did not move {much} from the 'ready' position!

Loved watching him play!

I asked him if he had fun and he said 'yes!' :)

He had his cheering section! Look at this little precious smile in his uniform!

So tiny! Ready with his bat to hit the ball!
He concentrated SO much!
He knew 'ready' position!

My favorite month with some baseball!

My favorite month is starting today!

Whooo hoooo!

I love all things April!

Back at it again this year to see who I can get. So far, no takers....but the day is still early! This prank last year!.............PRICELESS! {Pull my post from last year and read all about it! Golden!}

We ended the month of March....with Tyler and Lily going to soccer practice and Lex and I hit Piedmont for the baseball County tournament. The baseball season is over and we enjoyed watching and wished we would have gone to more games before the season was over.

Take a look. Notice this picture has Piedmont colors on the boys. Yeah...Lex was there watching that hind catcher standing by the umpire! Carson and Lex have been talking via calling and texting for a couple of months now. Well, he was sick and just life in general they havent met in 'real life' until last night. We went and watch his game, Piedmont vs Alexandria which was right before our Jacksonville boys played so it worked out that we got to watch both!

Carson played so good! Alexis was excited to watch him. They didnt win but it was good to see him do well. She met his Mom and Dad, and I did as well after the game too!

Then we stayed for the Jacksonville game, they played Ohatchee. Carson came over and sat by us during that game. They both chatted and he showed her a good hit he got from his game that happened before we got there. Overall, it was so good to have Alexis actually meet him and speak to him in person! A friend took this picture and sent it to me. Alexis would die if she knew I have this...so maybe she wont see this post until she reads in when she is like 30! ha! :)

I have no idea if they will start 'dating' {I guess that is the term they use?!?} or what but hopefully Alexis will continue to be nice to him and friends though!
