The craze is Riley Green.
And to get to stand by him as they unveil the basketball court (since he donated a lot of money so it was named after him) was just the BEST. (according to Alexis, it was so cool!) :)

It is that time!
3 things!
Lily!
1. She is rocking the 6th grade year so far! She says it is her favorite and she has only been in it for what 2 weeks! She is an ambassador and LOVING it! That is alllll that she talks about! She loves to help, loves to be a part of things and is just loving the fact that she is a 'senior' on campus!
2. Talk about Miss Independent. BOY, the stubborn, know it all streak is real with this one. She is my most responsible one. Always on top of everything....to a point that she tries to put me in line. :) Not happening sister! :)
3. Creative. Her creative streak is only getting stronger. She is constantly drawing and making something. Her most new craze is making bracelets. She can whip several up in two seconds it seems like! She needs to make a business out of them!
1. Sophomore status and taking Dual Enrollment classes are becoming real for her. Spanish is now the language that she speaks to us daily as she is trying to learn it. She can 'roll her tongue' and speak better Spanish that Tyler and I both can.................though Tyler tries really hard to sound better! ha!
2. She is a through and through 'Swiftie.' What does that mean you say?!?! That means that we all hear Taylor Swift songs NON-STOP from her! So much so that we noticed extra charges on our Alexa bill because she was charging to hear extended versions of her songs. Yeah, put that to a stop but that hasnt stopped her from listening, singing and having the love for Taylor!
3. She got her standing TUCK! Yeah...I have not seen it yet. She says she will do it soon but says she is working hard on it at tumbling so I cant wait to see her finally do it! One step closer to maybe being a College cheerleader if that is something she decides she wants to do!
We headed on up to Boaz Friday night to enjoy our first Friday night lights football game!
Great game...HUGE win and we all loved being back under those lights!
We enjoyed dinner with Gran and Ben before the game and then had Callie tag along with us so it made for a great Friday!
Lily enjoyed spending the night with Callie and hanging at her house on Saturday so they got to catch up and spend time together!
Our cheerleader! Of course the only time we saw her was when she came up for items from the concession stand! :)
FOOTBALL season is HERE!
We had a low-key weekend of football....watching JSU with their 1st game big win....Church...and that about sums it up! This is our last weekend of not having much on the agenda so we soaked it up by enjoying just being at home!
Love this group!
Love watching her!
Meet Soccer's sister...Maylie!
I think I have posted pictures of her before but my co-worker (who has her) sent me this picture so I thought I would share!
It is funny to hear what Jenna says about her personality and then to know Soccer's!
They are alot alike! :)
Brother....
and sister!...........
She is beautiful! She also is a full-time outside cat. I dont think Soccer would know what to do if he stepped foot outside! Our cat is rotten! :)
They highlighted the new field last night and let all the Fall sport kids have a shout out!
We are ready for Friday nights!
The field looks amazing! Excited for the players and everyone!
I mean...this was JUST yesterday!
NOW....they are driving...some have moved....
all the things!
BUT...goodness, I miss this age! They all had SO much fun in our neighborhood!
A bunch of random!
Allll the meetings....so we take pictures....
allll the school things like Lex and her cupcake for her Dual Enrollment Speech class...
and Tyler and I enjoying a work function at the Barons game!
Just a little life lately!
When the President stops by! He also.....bought us allllllll Starbucks!
This one and I...enjoying a hot Barons game!
Tyler and I got to enjoy a date! Love him!
Gearing up for FOOTBALL season is a favorite!
So when I get to snap some pictures of both girls in blue and gold..............I jump on it!
Mini photo session in the front yard for the WIN!
Love this with the sun coming through!
These two!
My two Eagles!
We dont have much of a break between Summer semester and Fall...
but there is just something different about transitioning to Fall that I just love!
The feeling of 'new' and the excitement of the students!
Im working on year 11!
Here I go!
97 new 'babies' coming my way! I have to say, impressed with them so far! I hope they keep it up! :)
I have 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester students also that equals 140ish more that I have to handle (not including all of our MSN and DNP students that are online!) Yep..........BUSY is an understatement! :)
We had a low key weekend! Some DD fun....some family game night fun!....just kept it simple this past weekend and it was nice!
Sadie and Lex had to work the Anniston Farmers Market. She is almost done with her hours!
Family game night for the win! Then Saturday night we had the Bentley's over for dinner and then played Pictionary. It was so much fun!
This cat deserves his OWN post....
he is a MESS!
Always nosy...or into something!
Mean to Aubie...but acts so innocent!
A night owl to extreme! I will hear something bang or clang and I just lay in bed at night going.....WHAT is HE DOING!?!?!
But...we love him!
He for SURE goes by his name as well. He is constantly playing 'soccer' with everything that he can shuffle on the ground! :)
Lily adores him....and he ADORES her! He will cry...literally whine and CRY if she does not open her door to let him in or if she is gone he will walk around the house just pitiful!
So....Soccer....
you are a mess but loved!
ALLLLLL................
ALLLL.................
ALLLL...................
she talked about LAST year and still when it is brought up that they did not have ANY field trips in 5th grade....
except for one which was pretty much the end of school!
So when she came home saying she had a field trip the 1st week of school starting!............you should have heard how thrilled she was to tell me!
So today was it and it was a little one...but to her..........she didnt care because....it was a field trip!
Her grade got to go listen to the Marching Southerners band and then eat at the JSU Caf (which is one of her most favorite places to eat)
So.............
talk about how PUMPED she was this morning!
She came in and I told her that she looked like she should be one of my co-workers instead of my daughter with her attire!
Cant wait to hear ALL about it when I get home!
OH these two melt my heart!
I cant believe BOTH of them are starting BIG school!
Look how adorable they are!
Cant wait to watch them grow and shine!
LOVE both of them!Today marks the 2nd day of school!
Last night we had the pleasure of having an out of the blue dinner with the Messer's since they were in town for a sad reason of Chris' grandmother passing. Then we hit Wal-Mart for ALL the things school supplies that they (really Alexis) learned she needed!
And then today..........
team bonding (the ones that braved the EARLY morning time and the storm to go) for breakfast before school and then the cheerleaders greeted the Elementary school kids since today is the 1st day that the whole school went together!
My view when I dropped Lily off in car-rider line! It was cute seeing Alexis shake her poms and high five little kids as they walked into school!
It was funny because when Lily got out.........they all started screaming and yelling loud to embarrass her. It was rather funny! :)
I didnt get a picture of Lily in her '2nd' day of school outfit..........but she cracked me up this morning. She looked really cute in some jeans and a Def Leopard t-shirt. I asked her 1. what wording was on her shirt. At first she said 'DET' instead of Def (because their wording is unique so its hard to read) I was laughing...then 2. I asked her what the words meant or what was it? At first she said she had no idea...and then it came to her, and she said ...........they are a rock band! She couldnt name any of their songs...so we played all their greatest hits until we had to leave for school. She was laughing going...'OOHH they sing this...as a song came on!' ha!
I have to say...'Pour Some Sugar on Me'....is one of my all time favorite songs! :)
Today marked Alexis' Sophomore year!
And Lily's 6th!
They both were super excited to get to school......mainly to see their friends...but, hey, I will take it!
Alexis is super excited that she is a JSU College student! She is taking Dual Enrollment Speech this semester and then next semester Dual Enrollment History! So proud!
Lily is SUPER excited that she is the 'Senior!'
Her last year at the Elementary school is underway!
I pray that they both have a great year and grow as the young women they are becoming!
First one up and ready to go...Lily!
She has just grown!
She LOVES her bookbag!
My girls!
Dressed to a 'T!'
Love them!
My Sophomore!
Love!
We had a sidekick with us to take and enjoy Chick-fila to kick off the 1st day of school!
