Sunday Funday!

We actually had a day with NO rain.........well maybe a couple of drops......but THAT is ALL! :)
We didnt know what to do with ourselves!

So....we had a Sunday Funday! :)

We enjoyed Church at the Williams followed by what is seeming to become our Sunday ritual of Mexican food!

Tyler and the girls had a fun afternoon together and then went to eat at Nan and Pawpaw's Church while I had a "girls night" with Becca, Kelly and Kelly! We had a much needed movie date and dinner! :)

Rain rain...we are floating away!

It has rained for 5 days straight....and there is still more to come in the next several days! It is making us stir crazy! :)

We have had a great week with it being the first week in July! Summer is moving by very quick....and we are floating away with it! Tyler mentioned today that we need to do double time at the Community Center pool to make our pool pass worth it! We havent been able to use it much at all with it raining so much! :(

With it being the week of the Fourth....we have been keeping busy and having fun with Walker and Laynee! We have been shopping...eating...movies...more shopping...eating...playing at Imagination Place and more playing to try and find things to do with the rain!

We met Nan and Pawpaw last night at one of our favorites...Momma G's...to cap off the week! And....today we enjoyed our "usual Saturday" by eating a yummy breakfast...and running some errands! Now with the rain falling hard outside........we are cozy and taking naps inside! :)

I LOVE that Lily gets to wear cute little outfits that Alexis wore when she was younger! It is soooo sweet to see the difference in both girls wearing the same thing!! :)

Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July! Yesterday was Independence Day! It was really nasty all day with rain and kind of chilly {especially for JULY!!}.........so we didnt do much but relax and watch movies until it was time to head to Gran's to cook~out and then watch fireworks at Oxford Lake.

We had a great time watching the fireworks even though we were covered in blankets the whole time!

Fourth of July in Jacksonville!

We had a great "pre fourth" firework celebration tonight!

Earlier today we had a great time "hanging out" with Mrs. Rebecca and Walker! We met them at the Mall and watched Alvin and the Chipmunks movie! Alexis has this movie already at home and is one of her all time favorites! She was so excited when she found out that is what we were going to be watching! She quoted the entire movie....the entire time we watched it because she has worn that movie out from watching it so much at home!! After the movie we enjoyed yummy Mexican and shopping! We always have fun hanging out with them.............even if Walker and Alexis fight like an "old married couple!" :)

We thought that the fireworks were going to be cancelled because all day was nothing but nasty drizzle rain............but......luckily it stopped and the fireworks were still a go!

We met Nan and Pawpaw...........and the Grogan crew at Eagle Point church to watch the fireworks! We had the perfect spot!! It was Lily's first time to see fireworks {and understand what they were and everything} {She did go watch some last year but she was still a baby!!} She was sitting in Becca's lap and kind of got a little scared............but once she got in my lap she really enjoyed them! She kept saying "noise" every time she would hear the "boom" from the fireworks! She would also repeat me when I would say a color of one of them! :) Of course Alexis loved them too! She liked the "grand finale" the best she said..........even though she said it was really loud! :)

Wordless Wednesday!

Alexis' special day!

Today is finally here! The day Alexis has been waiting on forever! Every.single.one. of her friends have already turned 5 {so she thinks} except her..............but FINALLY today she is 5!

I remember thinking when she was born that her turning 5 was just SO far away!..........well I just can not get over how fast time has flown! It really does seem like yesterday that she was born and we were bringing her home from the hospital!

She has grown into such a beautiful, funny, smart, sassy, determined, strong, and loving little girl! She is such a great big sister to Lily too! She has done really well adjusting to having a sister! Alexis is really good about sharing and looking out for Lily too.

She is such a quick thinker too. She can come up with a funny comeback to something all the time! For example.........things Tyler says to her, she has a comeback back to him right back! She keeps us laughing!

She loves....loves...loves to sing and dance! She never..........and I mean never stops singing and dancing! Her own teachers call her their "Hummingbird!" :)

I am so blessed to have seen her grown in these 5 years and can not wait to see how much more she keeps growing and becoming more beautiful both inside and out!


I did a "birthday banner surprise" with the balloons too from her birthday party out in front of her door.....so this morning she would wake up and be surprised on her special day!

...............well...........
about 20 minutes of me getting finished doing it {with her asleep in her room}....a little girl comes walking into the living room saying "Mommy, what is all of this stuff in front of my door?!" haha!!....she woke up and came out of her room because she had to go to the bathroom! So........she got to see her "birthday banner surprise" the night before! :)

She wanted me to take a picture of her in front of it doing her "Beauty pose"....like the girls/models off of the Price is Right! {She loves watching those girls!}

This morning...she got to have birthday cake for breakfast! {Hey...you only turn 5 once ;) } And...she picked out a birthday card for herself yesterday at Winn Dixie! OH ME!...........she said that everybody should get them-self a birthday card! ha! {She also told Tyler that she wanted a kitten like this!} {Me too! :) }

Because today is her birthday......she picked out everything she wanted to wear {from head to toe} and told me how she wanted her hair to be....so I braided it in a side braid just like she requested!

She looks soooo grown up! :(

She LOVES the soup and the Hibachi chicken with mushrooms! After dinner...per her request...was to go to the park, but she said that she was just too tired after Summer Camp today to go.................so she picked out a "birthday" movie out of Redbox to watch at home! I think she had a pretty good birthday day! :)

Of course Lily thinks she can do anything.and.everything. that Alexis can! So she had to eat with chopsticks too! :)

Tee~ball Party!!

Tonight was the night! We have been finished with tee~ball for awhile now, but because it is Summer time there has been alot of teammates on vacations.....so tonight was finally the night to celebrate Struts Team end of the season party!

We had the party at the Struts restaurant! The kids got to eat free and everyone enjoyed eating, talking and watching the kids get their trophies!

Carli and Alexis! Carli's mom and I decided tonight that since they both {Carli's Mom and Dad} graduated from Auburn like Tyler and I did..........that the girls are going to be roommates when they go to Auburn! :)
