The school year is winding down for Alexis and her 2nd grade year!
She has loved 2nd grade and has really loved Mrs. Nelson! She has been a great teacher and Alexis just adores her!
Today Alexis had Field Day~2016!
Alexis and her friends were Team Orange and they came in 4th!
I loved how Mrs. Nelson posted pictures throughout the day of Alexis in action!
Alexis said that she had SO much fun doing all the events today!
She is READY! SOOOOO tough! :)
Sassy pants! :)
Getting ready for one of the events! Mrs. Nelson posted a video of Alexis dribbling a basketball to certain areas and then picking up things and moving to the next area...she did AWESOME in the video during that event! On this event she said was her favorite and that she didnt drop the ball off of the spoon the whole way down and back!! :)
Look at how great she was doing! :)
Alexis sweet 2nd grade class! They have 'Fun Day' tomorrow where they play board games, etc all day! Alexis is super excited about tomorrow too!
4th place! Great job Team Orange!!

Guinness book of world records and end of t-ball season and God, is in control!
Today marked the last t-ball game for Lily this season.
She has really loved playing. I think she has loved hitting the ball and running the bases more than playing the field and getting the ball though. {Even though she is really good at stopping the ball!}
I am so thankful that she had a great season...especially since when Alexis played, she didnt really have a good experience!
Yesterday afternoon Lily had her very last t-ball practice!
They were ready to go! Tyler and I left practice before it was over to have a date night! It cracks me up because Alexis said 'Eeewww.....the word 'date' is yuck!' haha...but we did it was a date! :) The girls spent the night with Nan and Pawpaw while Tyler and I enjoyed dinner and the movie Money Monster with George Clooney and Julia Roberts. It was a great movie!....and date! :)
Game day today! She was DOWN and READY! :)
I just love this picture that Tyler took! Look at the focus!! Look at the turned...perfection of an ankle and look at how she is ready to knock that ball out of the park!
BAM! It is gone!
And look at her little bitty legs! :) :)
She was smiling the whole time!
She has had a great season!! Love her!
Saying good job to the other team for the last time!
Sissy was there supporting her little sister! She is too cool for school! :) Gran also came to her last game as well as Nan and Pawpaw! They didnt keep score....but I have a feeling that the Lil Braves went undefeated this season! :) :)
We came home and cleaned up and turned around and decided to head to Gadsden on a whim since Daddy was heading to Piedmont. They begged for Moe's......and I cant say no to that! :)
Lily was ready to go with all of her babies!
They had about 7 babies back there between both of them. I guess the ones here buckled in were the only ones that they actually cared about because the others were not buckled! :)
Alexis informed me that I was driving around my grandchildren! OH me! :)
I would LOVE to know how many times we have been to Moe's since it has opened! I swear the people working there should know us by name and have a reserved seat for us! :) I think we are going to set the Guinness Book of World Records for sure!
We did some errand running before heading to Germania Springs! It was a perfect day to be outside! There was a guy flying a kite while we were there and the girls.........and I.....all were amazed at how high it was! It was the highest I have ever seen a kite be! It was perfectly perfect windy for a kite flying day!
Nothing better.........sunshine, a popsicle and a ball that is almost as big as you are!
We stopped by Wal-Mart and picked up them both a fun big ball to play with! They were super excited! Lily had a friend there playing so they played the ball together!
I love this picture! They climbed and climbed today! Every time Lily would make it to the top, she would yell over to me saying 'LOOK Mommy, I did it!' :) They both hit the creek and it was COLD to say the least but they had a ball and got soaking wet so I had to pretty much strip them almost naked to get them home!
I wanted to share something that happened while we were at the Park. There is an area that has a wooden train that the girls love to run around and play in. Well, I noticed that Alexis was just standing to the side over by where the areas are that are covered with benches that people usually have birthday parties, reunions, etc at. I didnt think anything of it because she was up on the train and was fine but usually she is running around playing in it instead of just standing there. I also noticed that she seemed like she was looking down too some while she was standing over there.
Well, when I told the girls that it was time to go...they came walking over to me. Well, Alexis was to me first and said that she needed to talk to me. I said okay and she started.
She said 'Mommy, do you see that lady over there smoking?' {I automatically started thinking...what is this about} So, I said 'Yes, the lady over there under the covered area?' and she said yes. She then continues to say 'Well Mommy, I heard her say to that man that God is an a$*hole....' {I immediately started thinking I am going to have to go over there and literally fight her because my daughter just said a cuss word to me that she heard from her and what else is Alexis about to tell me} so I said 'What? She said that?'
And Alexis said....'Yes Mommy, I heard her tell him that and since she said that, I know that word is a bad word and I know that since she said that, that it means that she doesnt go to Church and she doesnt love God so I prayed Mommy, I prayed for her! I prayed that she would never say that again and that she would love God and go to Church!'
{OOOOOOH MY!!....it is bringing TEARS to my eyes right now as I type this again as it did when she said this to me at the park!} {You remember, I saw her looking down.....well, that must have been when she was praying!} OH MY! :)
I hugged her soooo tight and I bent down to her and I told her how proud I was of her and that lady needed that prayer right then and that no, she must not go to Church and love God if she said what she did so by her praying for her....that God will hear that and it will help God come into her life and she will hopefully start loving God and go to Heaven!
You talk about something that has just blown me away!
I am one proud Mommy of two awesome little girls!

How my Daddy gets a Turkey!
Well....our regular routine is officially winding down because Summer is on its way!
Ballet, Awanas, T-ball.....everything is coming to an end this week.
Im sooooo excited Summer is close! :)
This cracks me up!! Lily has been obsessed to say the least with this Dragon since she got it at the Circus when she was like 2! She was totally upset when it stopped working and ever since Daddy 'fixed' it {put new batteries in it} she has carried it around again....everywhere. I have always thought it was more of a 'boy' toy...but she just loves it and loves how it lights up! Well yesterday she walked into the kitchen with this around it's neck saying she wanted to be fancy today! Apparently the whole time it was a girl! :)
This REALLY cracks me up! Alexis brought home her school journals since the school year is ending so I was going through it reading what all she wrote about in it. WELL...I came upon this entry and BUSTED out laughing! I took it to Tyler and he about died thinking that is how Alexis thinks he gets his turkies!!!! TOOO funny! The first picture is the top portion of the page and the second picture below it is the bottom part of the page! {You may have to click on the picture to make it bigger to read it because it is funny!!}
Today was the annual Vocabulary Parade! Alexis chose 'Dazzle' to be her word this year! She seems to be carrying on the same theme and for sure showing she is all girl because every word she has chosen since Kindergarten has been something along the lines of shimmer...sparkle...shine!...where she wears sparkles and pink and sequins and glitter! :)
And the parade started! She yelled over to me that 'Mommy...the judges LOVED me!' {they get voted on per grade for who has the best costume!} :)
Alexis and her sweet friends...Caroline...Nick and Carmen!
This picture cracks me up because....I hear....'Mrs. Amber, do you know who this is!?'......and it was my new best friend Mister Ben! hahaha! He is sooo funny! :) :)
Carli and Sarai getting ready to go!
There were some VERY creative words and ideas! So neat!
I thought they were super cute! :)

Back in action!
Whew!!!....today has been a super busy day!
Summer classes has started this week and each day has been a new group of students starting a different course and oh my, I dont think I actually got to sit in my chair at my desk more than 15 minutes so far this week!
Thank goodness today is Hump Day! :)
Also, today was opening day for the OVC Championship for our JSU girls softball team!
Alexis had her very first dermatologist appointment in Oxford so it worked out perfect that after her appointment, we headed to eat Mexican {of course we cant be in Oxford and not eat at Los Mex!!}before the game started!
Alexis was soooo brave during her visit. She had a broken blood vessel pop up on her cheek so I took her to have it looked at. The doctor checked her over and we determined to have it lasered off. She was a trooper. They put the 'goo' on her little place and then had all of us wore some 'crazy glasses' per Lily and doc held the laser over it a couple of times and bam!...it should go away completely! She has a little raised area where it will take a couple of days for it to 'heal' and she will be back to her 'old' self! :) She said it didnt hurt at all and she didnt flinch or cry at all! Super proud of how big she acted!
Then on to the game.....
JSU WON!
They played an awesome game with a little bit of a nail biter moment a couple of times thrown in...but all in all, it was a great game!
They are on their way to the next round tomorrow and then hopefully will win it out!!
Look how adorable Lily was this morning before school!! :) :)
Fun at the game with Dailyn! It was packed there and it was so good to see the turnout and support for the team! I hate that they play an early game tomorrow so we wont be able to go because of work! Wouldnt it be nice if work and school were cancelled so we could go! ha!

Perfection on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon!
Absolutely beautiful afternoon, barefoot, Popsicles, trampoline fun, sippin honeysuckles and an impromptu sprinkler run equals perfection on a Tuesday!
After dinner the girls headed outside since it was the most beautiful afternoon to play their hearts out, eat popsicles, sip honeysuckles and play in the sprinklers! They wore themselves out and had SO much fun!
Alexis laughed sooooo hard when I showed her this picture of her hair! She thought it was SO funny that it looked the way it did!
I LOVE picking honeysuckles! I think I have mentioned before on here that some of my fondest Summer memories were picking them and walking to my neighbors trying to sell them out of a big black trash bag!! :)
I loved how both girls had different 'systems' on how to get their honeysuckles! Lily....well Lily only wanted to pick one at a time...and really only wanted to pick only the white ones and not the yellow ones. So she sat like this pretty much the entire time and picked away as she sucked the white ones! :)
She wanted me to take a picture of her eating one! hahaha!! {Dont you just LOVE her eyelashes??? OH my!!} :)
And Alexis.....her 'system' was picking a TON of them ALL at once....didnt matter the color and then sat down and ate them and made one big pile! :)
On the way back up I told them that they could take off and play in the sprinklers! You would have thought I had four heads the way they looked at me! hahaha! They TOOK off and had a BLAST running around in them! Their laughs and squeals were priceless!!
Look at these silly faces! They had so much fun!
And...it did exactly what I thought....after warm baths, they hit the sack like rocks! :) :)

You dont have one!
Today was a beautifully beautiful day to have Mother's Day!
My little family of four headed to Church this morning for a great service and then headed to eat lunch with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi at Garfredicks after.
I have not been there in a long time and it was good!
After the yummy lunch, we headed home and I have been doing all sorts of things that I just love to do.....
especially on Mother's Day....
clean out the litterbox, sweep, mop, 3 loads of laundry and the dreaded Wal-Mart run!...
The girls and I hit the road and made the Wal-Mart run fun by stopping at Sonic and enjoying a 'fun drink' while we sat out and enjoyed this beautiful day!
I am so thankful to be Alexis and Lily's Mommy and that God's plan allowed me to do it! I struggle sometimes whether I am leading them in the right direction because being a Mommy is not easy! I hope they always know that everything I do {even if it is being 'mean Mommy' {per Lily}} is because I am looking out for them and only have their best intentions in mind! I love them more than they will ever know and I cant wait to watch them grow into beautiful young ladies and watch what God has in store for them in this life!
My little family of four!
This is the best I could do for a 3 person 'selfie!' {We were all supposed to be acting like we were drinking our drinks while acting silly} Alexis didnt want to partake in the acting silly part of the picture! :)
Then Lily wanted to take a picture saying 'Nanna Nanna Boo Boo, we have a 'fun drink' and you dont!' Soooo......this is our 'You dont have one!' picture! :)
We celebrated Mother's Day with Gran and Ben yesterday eating Mexican and then lunch today with Nan, Brandi and Pawpaw eating the buffet here.
Lily was supposed to open her eyes.....even with me saying...Lily, open your eyes.... and she didnt :)
Nan with her two big kiddos!
