Friday starts football with those Friday night lights............

and now.........

we also have Saturday morning bliss............

with Cross Country...BRIGHT...and early for Lily!

We will survive this Fall.....whew, I get tired just thinking about all the football games and Cross Country that is coming up! :)

We are excited to watch BOTH girls this year and cant wait to watch them shine!

And so it begins! A new school year!

 The girls have been in school for a couple of weeks now and I have enjoyed the slower pace between Summer and this upcoming year.

Well, today it came to an end and it is time for JSU to gear up and be ready for Wednesday when allllll the students start back!

Here we go! My year 11! :)

Ready for our all University meeting this morning! Excited for a new and great year!

Our weekend!

 Tyler had to work JAX State move in weekend so he was super busy so us girls (minus Alexis because she had to work) had lunch with him and toured some of the new buildings on campus with him!

It was a fun and low-key Saturday and weekend because this is our LAST one until alllll the Fall crazy begins this upcoming one!

Tyler toured us the new football facility. It was NICE!

These two thought they were cool to be outside a college dorm!

Jacksonville!

 When we moved to Jacksonville, I instantly felt at 'home.'

Now, I loved Birmingham and still love Birmingham...and if I ever end back up in Birmingham, I will be happy!

I dont really see that in our future but who knows what our future holds!

So, Jacksonville is where all the action is happening these days and with Fall gearing up and all things football, school, etc...we are here for it!

 I got this picture, yesterday, when.....out of nowhere, a heavy rain pour came while these kiddos were running!

In Cross Country, you run in the rain, sunshine, wet, cold, warm, hot...and everything in between!

And...Lily LOVES it!

Our weekend!

 Nothing much happened over the weekend except for having a date night for the girls and then for Tyler and I!

No picture of the girls but they enjoyed a 'girls afternoon' of shopping and then they went and saw Despicable Me 4 together and had a great time!

Meanwhile, Tyler and I enjoyed Dave's birthday and celebrating the 'old man' turning 45! :)

Church on Sunday, lunch and then gearing up for the first FULL week of school. The girls are SO excited, let me tell you, for a full week of school being back in gear! ha! :)

2nd but 1st day of school!

One girl....is counting this day as her actual 1st day of school because this is the actual day that everyone comes and they actually do things in class....

the other girl....

is counting this as her 2nd day because she was 'forced' to go to school, yesterday, and really 'do nothing' and 'not everyone was there' BUT, since she HAD to go, and 'waste time' yesterday....(all her exact words) yesterday counted as her 1st day of school...for nothing.....

so today is now labeled as the 2nd, but 1st day of school!

So, did you guess it? This one wanted her '1st day of school' picture!

with the...it is the 2nd day of school....even though the 1st day of school was a 'waste of time' because they 'did nothing' and 'nobody was there'......................and the biggest issue/reason.........

she couldnt turn her Summer project in until today............... haha!

She has been wanting to get rid of this since before she even finished it! :) (I cant lie, I have been tired of seeing it and walking past it in the dining room too!) :)

Be GONE...you Summer project! (That....per another exactly worded statement by yours truly.... there should NEVER have been a Summer project to begin with!..........because, Summer is NOT for doing projects for school!) :)

1st day of Kittystone! (Kindergarten)

1st day of high school! (7th grade!)

First day of 11th and 7th!

 Both girls............

at the HIGH SCHOOL!

I mean, it is crazy to me!

Lily was a ball of nerves. (She will kill me for writing this) but poor thing, she didnt want Alexis to make her late for her first day of school (you know, she has a point! :) ) and she was nervous about trying to make it to her first class (and making sure she knew where it was) and trying to get her locker opened (I hope that works for her because MY GOODNESS it was hard to open, even for me!).....

and just being at the high school had her all kinds of worked up this morning!

Alexis...her normal self...

taking her time to get ready, get her things together............then wondering why I am telling her....GET in the CAR! :)...and why Lily is telling her that she better not make her late!

Alexis was super excited, this morning, to be heading into her Junior year...and finding her parking spot because she gets to drive now. Lex is just living the dream! :)

So, here's to 11th and 7th!

I pray they have the best year yet because it is going to be a big adjustment for both of them! Lily with just being in the high school and having to adjust to the teachers not 'babying' them anymore....to Alexis and all of her dual enrollments....and CHEMISTRY.....

say a little prayer for them please!..................  :)

Pirates bay and ending Summer!

 We ended Summer with a bang yesterday!

It was a gorgeous day so we loaded up and headed out with the Rays to soak up our last day before school starts and all the fall craziness!

The Lewis' joined too and we had a great day celebrating Ryker's 13th birthday!

 Alexis' DD Junior year is starting up!

She has just finished all of her community service hours and is right in the middle of all the fun Fall events coming up!
