Busy week of Christmas fun!

We have had a busy week this week! Tuesday Gran and Aunt Pam took the girls to have story time with Santa at the Library! Alexis got to tell Santa more things she wanted for Christmas! In the picture below....you can see how intense the conversation was! :)
Wednesday we would have had the last night of Awanas, but Alexis had to miss it because she was in trouble. She was sad she missed, but Santa didnt like how she acted. :( Then Thursday Aunt Pam's class had their Christmas program! And then...Friday night was my 1st annual Christmas Ornament Swap Party! We had soooo much fun eating, talking, having girl time and playing dirty Santa! I think I am going to start having it every year! A new tradition! :)
Also..I think Alexis is back friends with Ella Jingle! Ella Jingle had on alot of her hair bows on the other morning and Alexis said it was okay, she wanted her to wear them! (I am glad Alexis is now over the whole Rudolph experience with Ella Jingle!) haha!
Today Tyler and I get to have date night!! It has been awhile, so I am looking forward to spending quality time with my main man! :) Alexis is so excited, she gets to go to Birmingham with Gran and Aunt Pam to spend the night with LaLa, Meagan and Mallory since we have our Christmas party tomorrow and Lily gets to spend time with Nan and Pawpaw!

The intense convo!

The girls decorating at the Library...Alexis looks just like Santa!........Lily just wanted to play with Cottonballs!

Our 15th month old teddy bear!

Lily is 15 months old today! Everyday I look at her and just fall more and more in love with her! She is the most sweet and lovable baby! Happy 15 months my sweet girl!

Some things Lily has been up to:

She has started this funny thing where when I tell her no or to stop doing something...she will stop whatever it is and throw her hand up and say "Hey!" while waving her hand with the softest voice and biggest smile. (I dont know where she has learned this or who taught her this...but it is like she does it to get your mind off the fact that she is in trouble!) :)

On another note...in the past couple of days she has started saying "Momma" (like three or so times in a row really fast) in this deep grunt creepy kind of voice when she wants me to hold her or let her sit in my lap. Tyler calls it her "Gremlin" voice (like the furry..creepy Gremlins off that movie!) ha! I dont like it when she does it but for some reason she thinks she needs to say my name in that tone/voice to get me to do something these days!

She has really started dancing more too....when any kind of music comes on!

She loves to spin in circles! I have the cutest video of her where she is spinning and spinning around. She will get dizzy and stop and you can tell when she feels like she is not dizzy anymore because she started going in circles again!

She has started to love to write and color. I try and not let her much because the crayons always end up in her mouth...but she will flip the coloring book pages and "color" and she also loves the draw pad magnetic board to write on also!

Right now her favorite foods are green beans, any kind of fruit, cheese, animal crackers, peanut butter sandwiches, broccoli and corn!

She is really congested and has a runny nose and eyes today since she woke up.I checked her mouth and she has two back teeth on the top and two small teeth on the bottom coming in all at once! (poor thing)

Bad idea Ella Jingle!!

We have had a great week this week. It has been kind of low key, which is good sometimes! We went this weekend to the Douglasville Mall to finish up a little Christmas shopping with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi. The Mall was a madhouse to say the least with everyone trying to finish up their shopping too, but we had fun anyways!
Our Elf, Ella Jingle, had a bad idea this morning! So far...Alexis has loved everything Ella Jingle has done.... such as giving her little Christmas necklaces etc...but not today. Ella Jingle decided to make Alexis look like Rudolph! Oh me...I laughed soooo hard!!
Alexis came into our bedroom this morning and what was so funny was Lily started pointing at her and smiling....so I had to play along...
I was like uh oh Alexis what is on your nose?? Alexis goes "I dont know" I told her to run into her bathroom (where I had left Ella Jingle holding the red marker) Next thing I know, I hear her crying!! She comes running into our room crying ....saying Ella Jingle turned her into Rudolph!! Then she goes "Mommy, why did Ella Jingle turn me into Rudolph??...I am not brown and I dont look like a Rudolph!" OH...it took all I could to not laugh in front of her!! She was soo upset!! She ran in the bathroom and got some toilet paper and tried to wipe off the marker. Well.... it wouldnt come off..so that made her cry more! She would NOT take the paper away from her nose! She said that since it wouldnt come off, that she was just going to leave the paper over it all day! hahaha!
Luckily, Mommy to the rescue....a little water and soap got the marker off!! :) She said she was mad at Ella Jingle and that she better not do anything like that again! (Note to self! :) )

Alexis covering her nose because she didnt want anyone to see her nose!

The red nose like Rudolph! :)  Such a pitiful face...she did not like waking up to a red nose!!

Lily eating a snack while shopping...such a multi-tasker!!

She had alot of fun driving her taxi buggy through the Mall!

Alexis shopping too!

My silly girls making funny faces while I am trying to get them to take a good picture before we left for church! :)

Lily has been sooo fascinated with the ornaments!

Sweet smile

She is growing up WAY to fast!

This is a flashback picture of Alexis when she wore the dress Lily is now wearing. Alexis was a couple of months older than Lily in this picture!
not just a fascination with ornaments..but with Mr. Snowman too!!

The big man with the long white beard!

Well, it is that time of year where we go visit the jolly old man as many times as possible to tell him the numerous new things we want for Christmas! Alexis has been cracking me up when we go. She will tell him the most random things such as a candy cane..a box..!! So far though with both girls there have been no tears! Hopefully that means next year will go well and maybe even with the Easter Bunny! ;)
I also got my Christmas cards mailed out this week! I love them! I thought they turned out so well! Tyler took some cute Christmas pictures outside of the girls a week or so ago so I could put together our card. I love to see how much the girls have changed when I look back at our old Christmas cards!

Is it December?!

Today is December 1st....but outside you would have thought it was a day in June! It was an absolutely beautiful blue sky...warm...day! For it to be December, and be in the low 70s.... I could have worn shorts today!
Earlier we went to Nan's work Christmas party for kids at the Quintard Mall! The girls had so much fun jumping and playing in the big blow ups! The also loved to ride the rides too! After the party, I got pretty much all of my Christmas shopping done also! We ended the night watching the SEC championship. The University of Alabama over took the University of Georgia in the end. It is looking like yet another National Championship on the way for the Tide. (I just wish all of my UA friends wouldnt rub it in so much :) )

Little miss model!

Lily wasnt to sure of the mouse...but loved riding in the car with it!

My little careful one with both hands on the wheel! :)

Parading around Town.

This week has been a fairly busy one! We went to Aunt Pam's house for dinner with everybody on Tuesday night, then Awanas on Wednesday and Thursday was the Jacksonville Christmas parade! It was cold outside, but it was bearable for us while we watched the parade. Alexis had so much fun watching the "princess girls" (the beauty pageant winners and homecoming Queens) go down the road. Lily loved all of the marching bands. She would bob her head to the beat of the drums! Alexis filled up her snowman tin full of candy she collected! We stayed for a little over an hour and it still wasnt over so we headed on home because it was past two little girl's bedtime! :) We capped the week off with dinner with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi tonight!
**Update on Ella Jingle!.....so far I think she has had some good reports to give Santa! Ella Jingle has been busy also. So far she has unrolled the girls' toilet paper, brought in snow from the North Pole, drug out all of Alexis' panties and Lily's diapers, gave Alexis candy before breakfast and gave Alexis some fingernail polish to paint her nails! :) I think Ella Jingle is tired...and running out of ideas too! :) (oohhh..how many days do I have left ;) )

Lily excited and waiting on the parade to start!

Alexis waiting on candy!

Daddy trying to stay warm!

Me and my sweet girls

I just got this one picture of the actual parade before my camera battery died on me :(

Yeah, this was one of the afternoons where I think Ella Jingle didnt have a good report to Santa! :) The girls...per Alexis ...her and Lily...however it was ALL just Alexis....decided to pile EVERY single toy into the middle of the floor! Yeah, Alexis didnt have fun cleaning it all up either! :)
As you can tell by their faces...exactly their personalities...Lily's face says "oh no, I am caught" and Alexis' face says "TaDa..yep I did this!" ha!

Ella Jingle decided she wanted to unravel the paper!

And this morning she brought in snow from the North Pole!!...and wrote Alexis' name in the snow too!

Lookin a little like Christmas and Iron Bowl 2012

Even though Auburn has had a really...really rough season this year, I still love my Tigers and say War Eagle! The Iron Bowl this year was pretty ugly for us so I finished decorating for Christmas instead of watching the whole game! Our first Christmas in our new home is looking beautiful so far!
Ella Jingle...the North Pole elf.... made her appearance this morning to keep a check on Alexis and Lily. I think with day 1 under raps...she may have an okay report to report back to Santa. It is going to be a long road for Alexis and Lily! :).....hopefully Ella Jingle doesnt get frustrated and Santa keeps the girls on the nice list! :) ha!
Let the Christmas countdown begin!

Alexis' tree in her room!

Lily's tree in her room too!

Tree in the kitchen

Santa's house at the North Pole! I keep seeing Alexis trying to peak in it to see if she sees Santa sitting inside! :)

Meet Ella Jingle! She flew all the way from the North Pole last night to meet Alexis in front of her door this morning! She left a little note for Alexis and Lily asking them to please be nice! ha! (She flew in with balloons!)
Alexis cracked  me up! She walked past her 4 times without even saying anything! So, I had to be like "Alexis what is that in the floor?" She goes..".Mommy, it is just a birthday party!" (because she saw the balloons) ha! she could have cared less! I explained it to her....and "read" the note and she goes ..."oh so she flew? how did she get in here? ...the door and the windows were not opened!"......oh me...this elf thing might be a little difficult for me to do with her and I still have....what...29 days left to do this! ;)

They did love playing with Ella's balloons she flew in on!

We still wear our Auburn gear even with a bad year!

We had a great time seeing Britt and "MeCHell" (Mitchell) today. They came into town to visit since they didnt get to have Thanksgiving with everybody. We had a yummy lunch with them at Effinas!...and then after the girls and I headed to Aunt Pam's with Gran to watch the game for a little while since Daddy was working on his truck ALL day with Paw paw! ;) ha!
