Parties and Pumpkins!!!

We have had a busy fun Halloween week!! We have been loaded FULL with parties, Fall Festivals, and pumpkins!!

Daddy has been gone all week and we have missed him but so jealous that he is in Auburn for a work conference!

While Daddy has been gone, us girls have been having fun!

We had a fun Halloween party at cheer practice yesterday! I had fun treats for them and they all dressed up in their costumes! It was really cute seeing all of their costumes and trying to figure out what some of them were!!

After we had our party, all the girls headed to the Fall Festival and the flashlight hunt! They all had fun! Lily walked around and played the games and got candy with Nan and Pawpaw while I was with the cheerleaders! Nan said that Lily got A LOT of comments on her costume! She cracks me up in it!!

Since Daddy is the pro at carving pumpkins....I had to improvise tonight since he is gone. Instead of carving {because it is YUCKY!!} :)  I stuck some fun faces {with the big help of the girls} on to the pumpkins! I think they turned out cute!

Now on to 'spooky' ballet practice tomorrow! {the girls will have their face decorated!..pics to follow!!} and the FRIDAY is HaLlOwEeN!!!! whoo hoo!

I made these cute goodie bags for the girls and had Halloween cookies and drinks for them! So fun!!
So cute!
The Moms and Dads hung out too!
Lettie and Alexis!
Ashley didnt make it in the group picture!...so she had a picture made all by herself! :)
The girls are soooo proud of their pumpkins that they helped me make!! Meet Mr. Frank and Kitty!!!
LOVE my little front porch!!
My goodness where has the time gone! Look how much the girls have changed from last year! This was 2013! {Lily would not touch the pumpkins!...she thought it was sooooo gross! She kept rubbing her hands off...........on her shirt!!} :)

Fall Festival fun!

Today was a great Sunday fun day! Today was a beautiful day and we made the most of it!

We kicked today off with Church! So sad today with not having Mr. Roy lead the choir. He passed after a long battle with cancer on Saturday. The choir sang the last of the songs that he had chosen. I send prayers for the family!....

We had a yummy lunch and then home for afternoon naps!

Tonight was our Church's Halloween Fall Festival! The girls were soooo excited about it!!

The girls got their Halloween outfits on and we took off!

They were so excited to see all the candy and all the games!

Our Church does a great job of hosting the festival!

There are a TON of candy and then we also have dinner that consists of hot dogs {with all the fixings} chili, soups and a TON of desserts!

So FUN! :)

The girls HAVE to wear their cute Halloween outfits since it is the Sunday before Halloween!
Festival time!! My 'Princess, 'unicorn horsey' girl and my 'Pumpkin 'fairy' witch!' :) Yes, they have named themselves this time! :)

Lily won the 'cutest costume' award while we were there! She won a goodie bag filled with TONS of fun things and candy!! :)
Grabbing some candy!

The cutest 'Princess unicorn/horsey' rider and clown I have ever seen! Lily and her little 'wild man!' friend Levi!!
Alexis couldn't decide what she wanted painted on her face! :) And...I loved the 'lion' costume!! So creative!!
She decided on a pumpkin since she is a 'Pumpkin witch fairy!' :) :)
And Lily decided on 'sparkles!'
The girls had fun with all the games!
Pumpkin sack toss, Halloween bowling, pin the tail on the black cat, etc was SO much fun!
And...THEN, FOOD! YUM! TONS to eat!
My little family picture before the girls hit the bouncy house, slide and Kona Ice before heading home!!

Wedding day

Gran and Ben tied the knot today. They got married at the Rainbow Manor in Rainbow City. It was a really quaint, cute place!

It was a small, special time.

I have to say, because I feel I should, I missed my Dad today.

Now dont get me wrong, I want my Mom to be happy, and she is happy with Ben and I am thankful that he makes her happy and will take care of her.....and I know that my Dad would want that too.

But I did, I missed him.

Most every time there is a beautiful day, I always look up and tell my Dad 'hello.' Because I remember how much he loved beautiful sunny days and hated cold dark nasty days! Even though I know it isnt true, but I always like to think, that my Dad helps have a part of having the beautiful bright sunny days for me...

It makes me smile to look up and know that my Dad is looking down on me...and especially on the beautiful days, I just feel him!...........

Well, today was one of those! For it to be close to the end of October, today was a perfect beautiful sunny, warm Fall day.

I have to only think.......

that my Dad help make the day perfect for my Mom...

I am sooo thankful that I have my little family........... and that Ben will now be apart of my girl's lives and be their family.

Congrats to Ben and Gran!

The Murphy crew hung out with us today! We missed Mal!
Sweet little flower girl!!
Lily and her Aunt Pam!
She did SO good!!
They did sooooo good throwing out the flowers as they walked down the aisle!!
My other beautiful little flower girl!
Being sassy!
Me and my littlest love!......
Meg never ceases to CRACK me up!! She joined Alexis and Lily at the kids table!!
Bride and Groom!
This girl was WORN out! She spent the night with Gran last night so she could head to the wedding early since Alexis had her football game! She did not go to bed until late and then was a trooper during the wedding! She literally passed out before we ever even got out of the parking lot! She slept the whole way home and then 2 1/2 hours after we got home!
Alexis was a trooper too! We stayed out late last night due to go to the Jacksonville vs Saks football game! It was for SURE different to have on 'Eagle' attire and cheer against Saks! But...we are 'Eagles' now and so we did our duty! Saks stomped Jacksonville into the ground though at the game! {It was bad!} And...then this morning before the wedding, Alexis cheered at the game! We played Piedmont! We are still undefeated! Whoo hooo!
{Lily is naked because she spilled a whole bottle of bubbles on her...and Gran's dress.... as she was trying to blow them!!}

Roughing it!....

Well, mark it down in history!! Yesterday marked the day that Alexis and Lily camped for the first time! :)

We have had a very fun and busy weekend!! It started off yesterday morning with heading to Alexis' football game! We played Southside and WON again! 22-0!! Our boys are great and of course our cheerleaders are too!!

Tyler took Lily while Alexis and I were at the game to Lily's best friend Callie's 3rd birthday party! Callie had a 'Babydoll' themed party and all the little girls had to bring their baby dolls! Lily loved the party so much that Tyler said she didnt want to leave! :) Until he told her, we are going CAMPING! :)

The girls were just beyond excited to go! We headed to Piedmont with the Grogans for camping fun by the creek!

The kids had a ball just being outside! They did everything under the sun! Everything from playing in the creek, throwing rocks, finding 'treasures', coloring, picking sticks, digging holes, playing hide-n-seek, playing follow the leader and more! All the kids got along and just played so well the whole time together. I didnt hear one of them say they were bored! They all got 'down and dirty!' Literally, they all were a stinky, smelly, muddy, dirty mess! :)

We cooked out hotdogs, roasted all different fun kinds of marshmallows, sat around the fire, enjoyed seeing the stars and the beautiful skies! {God has to be an Auburn fan because we had the MOST beautiful orange and blue sky!!} The kids told 'ghost stories' {they DO NOT know how to tell a ghost story!} {It was SO funny hearing their 'stories'! Alexis' ghost story consisted of "Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lily and she had a sister and they played games and had fun, the end!"} :) :) We sang songs around the fire and just enjoyed the night before it was time to 'hit the sack!' {Literally!!}

We stayed pretty warm!....I have to say, even though we were 'roughing it', we still had a electric blanket! :) It felt sooo good! I have to say, I didnt sleep a wink because we heard coyotes ALL night long!! A LOT of them TOO! They didnt get close to us, but they were around!

We woke up this morning bright and early and Tyler cooked us all a yummy breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast!

We let the kids play some while we loaded everything up and then headed home for MUCH needed baths and clean up!

We all got warm showers and then we all took a 2 hour nap! SOOOO nice! :)

We had a great weekend and so thankful for the memories and having great friends to come along with us!
Setting up shop!! I have to say...it is A LOT of work to pack everything, load everything, {make sure you have everything!!}, set everything up, set everything out,  etc....and then the dreaded load everything up and take it all back home and clean it all...BUT...it is all worth once you are seeing the smiles on the kids' faces and see how much fun they are having and the fun that we all had...it is worth it!!
Our 'compound!' Matt cracked me up!...He said Daddy bear, Mommy bear and baby bear's...! :)
They loved playing in the tent! They called this one their 'playhouse!'
Yes, this is what we used!..............and Lily was the first one! :) I have to say she has been doing SO good pooping lately! :) {Thank you thank you!!!!}
So fun! They loved it and said it was COLD! :)
So sweet!
They loved skipping rocks!!
Daddy is the master cooker!!!
The sky was absolutely beautiful!!! Sweet girls!!
Nice.............cozy.............fire!!
Roasting marshmallows, singing, talking and telling 'ghost stories!'
Daddy and his girl!
This cracked me up! As we were packing up...they were filling this bucket up with water and pouring it over what was left of the fire! They couldnt pick up the big jug soooo...................
..................they laid on top of each other to smush the the jug and get the water out! They were having toooo much fun!!
