Wrapping it up!

Well....

sad to say....

we are wrapping Summer up...

We have one week left until the madness of school starting back begins.

The girls are super excited that school is starting. They are both excited about starting in a new school and Lily especially is sooooo excited that she is going to 'big girl' school with Alexis!

This week has been chalked full of having the last day of gymnastics for Alexis...cheer practices...Candy Land battles {that has quickly become our favorite family game night fun!} and an impromptu lake day with Gran and Pam since LaLa and Mal came into town!

Here is a little glimpse into our life lately!

I got these SUPER cute popsicle coozies! YES! They are the greatest invention and perfect!...especially for Lily because she always says that her hand is too cold! I had their initials put on them! LOVE!
My beautiful big girl wanted curls before Church!
She wanted me to take a picture of the back of her hair because she loved it so much! Proud Mommy moment! :)
We had a fun afternoon planned with our Church friends of food, fun, swimming, fellowship, sun and MORE fun! :)
We had a great turn-out and enjoyed spending time with everyone!
We had a TON of food too! We just all got in a little over an hour of swimming and eating when the cutest little boy had a HUGE poop job in the pool. Poor thing.....but that meant.....the pool closed for all of us. So, we had to cut the fun short because without water....it was just too hot to sit out and hang out with everyone. We had a great time even if it was cut short because of a sweet little baby boy. {I know how it is because we have been there.....done that when Lily was little....at the same pool! I feel their{the Mom and Dad's} pain} :) :)
Tricia and I! This girl makes me laugh every.single.day! She is a mess! We were super glad today is Friday and we enjoyed watching our Senior-5th semester cohort leave and go out into the real world!
And...while I worked 'hard for the money' :) :)......these two cutie pies did this since LaLa and Mal were in town for a visit! Talk about me being super jealous!! Ty and I met Gran, Ben, Pam, Richard, Nannie and Hogan at Logans to enjoy dinner and get them back! :)

Celebrating by biking it!

Even though the day before, every year, is tough with the loss of my Dad/Pops, it is always a blessing to take my mind off of that....

to celebrate of anniversary!

 11 years!

Love and miss you Dad!

In our 11 years, we have seen the good, bad, ugly, very ugly, happy, fun, hilarious, and amazing days with everything in between! In the midst of it all, the constants have always been how much I am thankful for him and how I cant imagine life without him! Happy anniversary to us and I love you!

Let's take a walk down memory lane!
Our Honeymoon cruise!
We were babies!
At our most favorite place...Auburn!
Love him!
Today we decided to celebrate our anniversary by riding the bike trail to Georgia!
22 miles! YES, we DID it! This is the marking between Alabama and Georgia! WHEW! :)
SO proud of us for making it! We enjoyed lunch at Solid Rock before heading home. I changed clothes because I was soaking wet! {yuck I know!} :) and then had a great dinner at one of our favorites...LongHorn before picking the girls up from Nan and Pawpaw's since they spent the day with them going to the movies and having a fun day!

Burning a BIG hole!

Alexis has been dying to spend her birthday money....

as well as dying to go to her 'most favorite' store......Justice!

So, I combined the two yesterday with a fun day of just us girls to Birmingham since Lily had her check-up at Childrens.

We had such a fun day together gearing up for school to be starting soon!

We got some school supplies at Big Lots before heading to the Galleria since we got to Bham earlier than expected.

Since the stores were not opened yet, we walked around the inside of the mall and did this......approximately 10 BILLION times!

I let them ride the escalators....ALL of them in the Mall while we waiting for the stores to open! They went up...and down...and up and down....and up and down....then we would walk to the next set and they did it again....and again.....you get my drift!
These two were cracking me up! They were loving riding them soooo many times! Lily had the biggest smile on her face the entire times as well as waving 'hello' to the people below her! She was well...being Lily! hahaha!
Alexis on the other hand...........was acting TOTALLY like 'Im soooo cool and 'grown up' and fancy!' ha! She was cracking me up the most because she was 'too cool for school!'
Then FINALLY Justice opened! WHOO HOO!!! You would have thought Alexis had won the lottery when those security gates were rising up for us to go in! :) :)
I swear I stood in this ONE spot for about 30 minutes while Alexis looked at EVERY....SINGLE....necklace.....bracelet, ring, etc on THIS....ENTIRE thing! OH my goodness....that girl!! She had to examine EVERYTHING before she FINALLY made her mind up as to what she wanted to spend her birthday money on! :) That money has been burning a big hole in her wallet!! :)
Lily was just following Alexis around like a little puppy in awe of it all! ha!
We had lunch in the food court followed by this loaded down with icing, smiley face cookie! ha!
Of course they had to ride the Carousel!
We hit all of our 'favorite' shops before heading to Lily's check-up!
Here she is patiently waiting {and watching the Disney channel} for Dr. Woolley to come in and decide what we were going to do with her since the hole in her ear drum still hasnt closed up! He did say that since it is trying to close and has gotten a good bit smaller that he still wants to keep an eye on it....so we see him back again in 6 months. Hopefully by then...................it will be fully closed and we wont have to worry with her ear anymore!
We had a long but full and fun girls day together in Birmingham before heading to Oxford to do more shopping and dinner at Olive Garden before heading to Alexis' gym class! Talk about a busy day! :)

Rolling through Summer!

Life lately has been filled with trying to make summer slow down since it is already mid July...which means August and school starting is right around the corner! Every time I am in Wal-Mart, the school supplies scream my name! I have not suckered myself in yet to succumb to their scream to buy them! ha!
My beautiful summer Sunday Church girls!
{Notice Lily's shoes!! They are play Cinderella plastic shoes...that light up! She BEGGED to wear them...........so hey, why not!} :)
A little life lately of enjoying the summer nights by getting some energy out while doing one of the things the girls LOVE!.....jumping!
We love our new deck....and cute little 'tea' table! They have enjoyed eating out there like they are fancy! :)
Speaking of new deck! Love how it has turned out!
 Love it!
 So cozy and fun!
The other night Alexis did some reading. I went into her room to check on her and found her reading like this! She said that she was reading a Princess book so she wanted to be a Princess too while she read! This girl! :)
Well....this girl saw Alexis......so she went and got her different colored hair clips and decided she wanted to 'read' too while she wore her hair clips! She is a stinker! :) :)
Now...as we roll on into this week...we have cheerleading practice starting back for this new season tonight! Yep, two nights a week soooo....hopefully I can survive! ha!

Summer grillin!

We have been gone so much lately that we havent had as many people over to enjoy the summer until last night!

We had the Exum's and the Ray's over and it was so nice to sit and catch up and enjoy the summer night!....

until the rain came! :)

But, we just moved the action inside and continued! :)

Cant wait to see these four grow up and be as good of friends and their Mommy and I!
The crew enjoying catching up.....and playing with babies!
This CRACKS me up! Lily stood there and entertained Cassell and Calhoun while their Mommy and Daddy ate! ha! She was shaking the reindeer antlers that has Christmas bells on them! ha! The babies were amazed by that thing! I told Misty that I am going to give it to them as one of their 1st birthday gifts since they loved it so much! {let me just tell you HOW annoying that thing really is!} :) :)
 Lex and McKenzie having fun!
They LOVED swinging! :) Such a great night with friends!

Spending time with family...LaLa & Hazel!

This week has been full of spending time with LaLa and for Tyler...

finishing up our back deck!

Pictures of it coming soon, it looks so good and him and one of his co-workers have worked hard all week to get it done!
Tuesday when I picked Lily up from school she had THIS to bring home with her! So proud of her!...actually.....so proud of Tyler and I....mostly Tyler, for reading ALL the books to her! She loves to have books read to her....as well as 'read' them to herself too! She was SO excited to get this!
She has been with LaLa so I proudly stuck it in our yard since she is gone! It looks sooo good in our yard! :)
I got this crazy girl back once I exchanged Lily for her with LaLa in Pell City. We went to O'Charley's to celebrate her being back home! I have to admit....I got a little scared for a minute on what I was bringing back home with me after this look on her face! :)
Meanwhile, Lily has been having a BLAST with LaLa!
They had soooo much fun playing at the McWane Center! Lily was SO excited that she got a free ticket to go there since she 'read' her books from the Library!
After they went and saw Mallory at Childrens! LaLa said that Lily recognized the building and the Children's sign from where she has been there before with her surgery on her ears and tonsils!
They brought Mal lunch and enjoyed spending some time with her before she had to go back to work!
Lily told LaLa that she NEEDED to be just like Mallory and wanted to get a 'nurse' 'thing' to make people feel better so LaLa went and got her this! :) :)
Today Lily had a fashion make-up make-over by a famous makeup artist from Paris with LaLa at Belk! Lana said that Lily was soooo excited about it! When I talked to her on the phone she told me ALLLL about it and was just SO excited!
Lily and LaLa are set to have one last 'fun' day tomorrow before Lily heads back home! Lily has loved every minute of being with them!
Meanwhile, this afternoon we met Hazel at The Rocket for dinner and then she came over to visit and give Alexis her birthday gift. It was sooooo good to catch up with her and spend time with her as well as her some old stories of her and Pawpaw's travels, etc. It made my day to see her and spend time with her!
On a side note, Alexis had a fun field trip today with Summer Camp at 'Tigers for Tomorrow!' She had a blast in Attala seeing all the wild animals! She has been loving Summer Camp!
Love Hazel!
And now, Tyler and I are relaxing before bedtime enjoying the original Ghostbusters movie! I have not seen it in years so talk about throwback! And....tomorrow is FRIDAY!! Whoo hooo!..we will be a family of four again and have a fun weekend ahead! Yayy! :)
