Happy birthday to the man of the house!

Today marks Good Friday!

And...it's a Teacher In-service day so the girls had NO school!

So, what did Tyler and I do?!!?

We had NO work! We took off to soak up the long weekend with the girls and to celebrate Daddy's birthday!

We did all things 'what Daddy wanted to do!' :) He got up early and went turkey hunting then when he got home, we loaded up and went on a birthday bike ride!

He had a date day with the girls for lunch and then we have spent the rest of the day relaxing at home. Tyler even got in a 'birthday nap' too! ha!

We got cleaned up and later in the day, we headed to Longhorn as that was his birthday dinner pick.

Really it wasnt any harder as the oldest two, and even Lily, are pretty self-sufficient!

For it to be a 'school' night...

3 kiddos ready to go! {I dont know WHAT happened to the weather! It was sooooo nice yesterday and then by last night and this morning...CHILLY!} It is supposed to warm back up by lunch, but whew, right now....burr! I am SO ready for Summer!

A beautiful Palm Sunday!

What started out to be a scary morning....as we had chances of tornadoes and bad storms...

turned into an absolutely beautiful day!

Love this group of kiddos! Hated I didnt get everyone in the picture but this is the best I could get before the crowds hit and we had to start lining up!

 These two chose lunch...and begged for a watermelon freeze too! :)

 Then..we spent the entire rest of the day outside! Today was the perfect vision of Summer! I can NOT wait! These two played allllll afternoon!

 YEP..Summer is getting closer...and this is it! A yard full of kids! I cant wait! :)

Then, I took my 1st 'professional' photo shoot of this little guy! I have to admit I was a nervous wreck!

 And...his sweet little {but growing} family too!

 This is my favorite! I came home...and wanted to crash but spent the rest of the night editing and having Lily W. spend the night with us! Yeah...I know...it is a school night! Hope was with us too but she started not feeling good...so she went home! {My girls better not have....I always say 'no' come out of their mouths...ever! :)}
It was a great day!

Why do they have an extra player on the field?

Ohhh.....

so...

Lily had her 2nd soccer game today! The morning started out pretty dreary and rainy as they began to play! It did clear up by the end...so, Ill blame the weather on the stomping England got today!

But....it really wasnt anything to do with the weather!

At one point...one of the parents on the opposing team yelled out to the referee why they {our team} had an extra player more than them on the field?

Well....

the straight forward....simple answer the referee gave that parent...

'Yall are smokin them so we let them add a player!'

Well, there you go!

So...now you know how the game went! ha!

England played a pretty good game....but...the team they played was just WAY out of the league. Let me just say....that team has been together for years......and soccer is in their blood! :)

Lily was captain of the game today! She ran her heart out again today! The other team....just no words. I lost count at how many goals they made!

Like normal.....the entire other team....and then there is Lily in the middle of them all!

So, we had lunch...and then spent the rest of the afternoon just enjoying being at home! There are two up in the tree house!.....can you spot them! :)

Long story...but these ladies in the picture with me ended up having lunch at Cooter Browns yesterday!

We had a great lunch! We just laughed and chatted the entire time! So, though it was far from the original plan of what we all were suppposed to be doing.....what we did was the best! :)

I kicked off this Friday with a bang! Got a haircut {always love to go to the salon!} then ended it with dinner with Misty and Kelly! Havent had Misty and Kelly time in a long time so it was so nice to have dinner and catch up!

Girlfriends are the best of friends! We all need them because BOY, I dont know what I would do without their advice, laughs, etc! :)

Our soccer star!

Soccer season is in....and OH, I love watching my soccer star!

She hustled her heart out today and even scored the only goal for her team. They didnt win their 1st game but here's to a great season!

We celebrated that we had made it through the 1st week back from Spring break at Baja with the Messers and the Rays so Madelyn came to spend the night with us! This morning they were up and ready for the soccer game!

 She is on FIRE! She is just so fast and hustled the entire game! This was mine and Daddy's view of her playing her heart out! Gran, Ben, Nan, Pawpaw, Madelyn, Alexis and Brandi came to cheer her on! She had a big cheering section! :)

 Lily loved that Madelyn spent the day with us! We headed to House of Chen after for lunch then headed home to just relax and enjoy the beautiful day!
Alexis ended up, later on, spending the rest of the day at Willa Kate's house..just 'hanging' out and playing with her!

 So, I had a relaxing day at home...with some quiet time! :) While Daddy and Lily ended up having a fun afternoon together by taking the mini bike up to the land and riding and then finding clams and snails after Madelyn was dropped off at home!
Once everyone is back home......and bathed and fed...we'll root ON AUBURN in the Final 4 basketball game! Whoop whoooooop! :)

Last 1st grade field trip!

Lily had her last 1st grade field trip yesterday to Gadsden State to see The Little Mermaid play!

They all had a blast and judging by the pictures, it looked like a really good show! Only a few parents could go...so I wasnt able to BUT, Lily thought it was cool that she got to go 'without adults.' :)

Lily said she loved the play! Glad she enjoyed her last field trip as a first grader! This year is flying by! Im so thankful she has had a great year so far!
