It has happened!

Lily loves homework!

She really does!

For years she has asked me to 'give her homework too like Alexis' because she has watched Alexis doing homework for years!

Now, you would think....after watching Alexis {and some of the pain of watching Alexis get through some of her homework} that Lily would NOT want anything to do with homework!

But...

Nope!

So, in Kindergarten...she did really have 'homework.' She had some little things throughout her Kindergarten year that she had to do but it was never actually 'homework!'

Well, this week....she GOT her homework! REAL homework!

AND...she was SOOO excited! This whole week...she has been ON it as far as getting her work out and doing it!

She has her VERY 1st BIG spelling test tomorrow...and she is SO excited about it! :)

She has been practicing every night! She has gotten them all correct AND I have been super impressed with how her handwriting has gotten so neat and clean!

Tyler and I just sat and watched her as she worked the other day with a huge smile on our faces because she was just working so hard and being so patient and just rocking her work!

And...she wanted me to take a picture of her Tuesday night of 'her favorite ballet pose!' So I did! She was moving so the picture is blurry...but THIS year marks 5 years of dance for this one! She is PUMPED about it too! :)
This sassy little thing is just growing up way TOO fast right before my eyes!

Football weekend!

Starting from this weekend....until around November, we will be watching and participating in a TON of football! Between the girl's games....to the JHS games all the way to AU games...

WE are READY!

Tonight...we kicked off football by rooting on the Gamecocks as they had their 1st game of the season in Montgomery again a team from South Carolina.

We had a perfection of an afternoon so we soaked it up by doing some shopping, riding bikes on the track and cooking out while enjoying our TV outside! The weather was amazing...and it was so nice just to sit and relax and enjoy our 1st 'official' football game of the season!

Too bad...JSU didnt win...but it was a good game!

My view for the afternoon! We all enjoyed our cook-out outside while watching the game! Then the girls rode bikes....played...and jumped on the trampoline while the sprinkler soaked them! OH...my girls LOVE to have the sprinkler on while they jump! One of their favorite things to do!
AND...by the way....sausage dogs with grilled peppers and onions for the WIN! :) :)
Then...they sat and told jokes for about 30 minutes to me while we watched the game....as they tried to dry-off some from jumping....right after while eating a popsicle! ha! :)

Jamboree kick off!

That time is HERE....

FOOTBALL season has made its way back to us!

OH...I love football season!

So, Lily had her Jamboree game today. Alexis didnt dance due to the danceline never has to go to the jamboree since its a quick little game. Jamboree is just geared toward weighing the boys in and making sure their ages are correct and they are all eligible to start the season!

The girls did their little cheer routine for the 1st time on the field and they did awesome! They all yelled so loud during chants and cheered the Eagles to their 1st win...even though the Jamboree game doesnt really count! :)

This little cheerleader is super excited it is football season!
I love their cheer shirts this year! So cute!
Sweet sweet and sassy friends! :)
These girls had fun this morning!
Waiting for their turn to cheer!
Of course...have to have a 'silly' face picture! ;)
LOOK at them! LOVE!
Just a cheering their hearts out!
My heart belongs to the one right in the middle of this picture! She did SO good today and I cant wait for the rest of her games!
I am also excited to actually sit in the stands and watch and support and yell for Alexis and the A-Team this year too! Super excited!

She LOVES being a cheerleader!
My little Golden Eagle!
She was starting to say no more pictures! ha!
Love this one too!
All Lily's sweet friends.....look how pretty the dancers look!
Sweet girls!
This three are a mess together! :)
The TEAM!
I love coaching this little one! Makes my heart happy!
I am so excited for the season to kick off this weekend!

Our Wednesday...on a Thursday!

So...

no 'Wordless Wednesday' today...

but we did do something fun yesterday!

SLAM started back at Church and the girls were super excited its back!

Our Church takes a break over the Summer due to so many different things going on and people going on vacation, etc.

SO, last night we were back in action!

I wasnt able to post because I ended up taking Jaycee home and Stephanie and I talked WAY longer than we realized while the girls played so I didnt get a chance to upload and post last night since it was late!

Some of the crew! I love this little Church crew!
Alexis LOVES to draw and color! She was hard at work before everything started!

To say it isnt a little overwhelming is an understatement...BUT...we are ready to ROLL with it and make this upcoming semester great! Im also excited to see all of our former students that are now in 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester!

Excited to finally put a face with all these emails and phone calls I have been getting! ha!

A friend weekend!

Its always great to have friends!

Friends are the ones that you get to choose though you dont get to choose some of your family members! Im SO glad that Alexis and Lily are developing their friend groups and making sweet memories with them too!

Friday Alexis had Carolone's camping birthday party. So, she took about a 3 and a half hour nap on Saturday! BOY was she exhausted! She said she had a blast though due to rain...they had to camp inside! ha!

Then Saturday, {after Alexis' 3 and a half hour nap} Tyler and I had a date night with some of the oldest and best friends around! We didnt take ANY pictures...which was A-okay with me since we did nothing but chat and chat more and laugh and laugh more as we enjoyed a yummy dinner without kids! Alexis ended up going over to Willa Kate's house with Savannah and Lily went over to Nan's while we enjoyed our night out! I have a feeling Tyler and I had more fun than the girls! :) :)

Today was full of Church, lunch, cheer practice and then the best laid back afternoon with a yard full of girls having fun! They did everything from eating popsicles, coloring with side-walk chalk, slipping-n-sliding, and having a dance party that also included jumping on the trampoline, having a tag and chase game and riding their bikes up and down the hill on our street! They had the BEST afternoon! Emily and I sat and chatted the whole time we monitored the girls fun! The weather was perfect and it was alot of fun!

While Alexis was snoozing Saturday since she stayed up all night at Caroline's....Lily, Daddy and I played games! If you have never played the game 'Head's Up' with this child...you are MISSING out! OH my goodness to play this game with her! She cracked Tyler and I up the entire game with the way she would give us clues as to what was on our head, etc! It was soooo funny! Made my day for sure playing with her! :)  :)
Savannah and Willa Kate came zooming up our drive-way on their bikes to ask Alexis over right when she was about to leave so it was perfect timing! Alexis spent the rest of Saturday night at Willa Kate's swimming and cooking out with her family and Savannah! She had a blast!
This group had so much fun this afternoon! They played and played and played and played! I didnt even realize what time it was because they were being so good and playing while Emily and I chatted that it was getting dark before I realized everyone needed to start heading home!
This group is SUPER silly! :) They had so much fun!
This picture cracks me up for several reasons...but the main one is Lily in her goggles! bahaha!
She just HAD HAD HAD to wear them in order to slip-n-slide! bahaha!
This girl cracks me up ALL the time! :)

Aloha Friday!

Today is Friday!

WHAT WHAT!

We made it through the first full week of school with all smiles! The girls had dance start back this week...had a play date with the Messer's at their house...did school work, had danceline practice and cheer practice...with everything in between! We have had a FULL week!

To mark the great occasion of it being our 1st Friday...and the weekend...

Alexis is at a camping birthday party at Caroline's house and Lily, Daddy and I had a dinner date night to celebrate!! :)

Alexis was packed and READY to head to Caroline's! She was sooo excited about spending the night with her friends and celebrating Caroline!
This one did a self portrait! Doesnt it look JUST like her! :) :) She thinks so! :)

Meanwhile!

Sweet Lily didnt get to go to Taylor Swift. She would have loved it but since it was a special time for Alexis turning 10, she got to stay at home but had the BEST time!

She had her fill of fun so she was A-OK with it!

Tyler took Ella home and Madelyn went home for a little bit on Saturday...but then Mrs. Emily came and picked her up and these three spent the rest of the afternoon eating popsicles and snacks and swimming! Lily had the BEST time with them!
Then...this one and her Daddy got ready and met Nan and Pawpaw for dinner on a Saturday night! Tyler texted me this picture and said that LOOK...she picked her outfit out...and fixed her hair all by herself! He said that she said that she picked out her very first soccer jersey to wear {please note this is an Auburn jersey and NOT her first soccer jersey :) Tyler said that he just went with it! ha!} and wanted to wear her soccer hair bow!
Then...he said that she asked if she could stay up all the way to 9:00pm...since that was 'super late' because she knew Alexis would be staying up until at least 9:30 because of the concert! Tyler said he was like 'of course you can stay up SUPER late until 9:00pm!'
bahaha! :) Sweet girl! :)
{Sidenote...Alexis didnt go to bed until 2:00am due to the concert getting over...walking back...and them winding down...and stopping chatting!} :) :) But..Im glad Lily got to stay up 'super late!' :)
Sunday fun day! I literally got home from ATL at 2:00pm. Had to RUSH to un-pack some...change clothes...and Lily and I headed to cheer practice! This sweet and fun little group had their 1st mandatory practice of the season! They are so fun!
And then after that OFF to Ryker's birthday pool party! She had the best weekend too! {It was just a little more low-key!} :) :)
After cheer practice...I rushed home...turned around and took Alexis to danceline practice while Tyler and Lily were at Ryker's party. BOY....I sure did sleep WELL last night!!
It was ALL worth it though because it was the best weekend for all!

BIG reputation!

WHOO HOO!!

THIS day has FINALLY come!

We have been waiting for this weekend and to see Taylor Swift for MONTHS!

We had the BEST time!!

These four were SOO excited! We made it to ATL and had lunch at Tin Lizzy's and just had the best day!
The other side of the table! This was the cool side! :)
After lunch..we did some shopping! They were sooo excited again!
THEN....we found our home for the night! The Westin! SOOO fancy...and we were on the 58th floor! WHAT! The view from our two rooms were unbelievable!
Soo...we made it!!.....along with the other 10,000 people that were trying to check in too! So....we found a nice spot away from the crowds of other people waiting...and got ready! It was something to see! The line to check-in was 3 miles long. Poor Alison had to stand in it to check-in. So...all the other people, not in line, were doing just like us...and trying to rush and get ready...because you HAVE to get ready and CUTE for the Taylor Swift concert! :)
Sweet 'big Carli' as she is called....did all the girl's make-up. They were all in Heaven that Carli was even giving them the time of day! Im not sure how much fun Carli was having doing all their make-up...but each girl LOVED her for doing it!
Then...we had our keys and made our way to the 58th floor! We changed clothes...did some last minute things...took some pictures...and headed out the door!
The BEST crew! :) :)
My girl and I! So thankful we can do fun things together...just her and I! And...my quality time with just Lily! It's special to me!
Heading out to the concert!
LOVE this picture I snapped as we were walking to the concert! Im sooo thankful Alexis has her sweet friendships!
We made it! SUPER excited!
The whole gang! The Mercedes Benz arena was AMAZING! So nice!
She is one lucky girl!
Love her and love our time together!
We moved over and sat by Caroline, Carli and Leyla! We had the BEST time singing and dancing and enjoying Charli XCX, Camila and then TAYLOR SWIFT!
The concert was AMAZING! Taylor put on the BEST concert! She thought of every detail! She did an awesome job! This was our view! Every person had these wrist bands that glowed and changed colors based on whatever theme or performance she was doing. It was an amazing view!
Alexis' view! :)
The ENTIRE stadium was FULL! Look at each and every light...that is someone's wrist! It was beautiful!
After the concert...we came back and BOY..they were wired and us moms were SO glad they had their own room!
Dont worry...it joined ours so we were right there with them....but they were super pumped that they had their 'own' hotel room! :) :)
The next morning....we let them swim in the awesome pool before heading to eat lunch at OutBack and then heading home!
I couldnt have asked for a better time! SO fun and SO many memories made!
