Life after Spring break!
We are rolling into the middle of the week since our Spring break and to say it is hard to get back into the groove.....WHEW.....that is an understatement!
All the things are happening this week including but by no means limited to.....the girl's school starting back, our work schedules, our personal master's classes, soccer for Lily, piano for Lily and cheer for Lex. Im not even sure I have included everything because its hard to keep up! ha! :) But...we are loving it all and surviving it all so we are good!
Meanwhile..............some random happenings from our life after our Spring break week!
Lily got her Spring pictures from school in! These dont go into the yearbook picture...so they really dont hold any importance and I never order these type pictures...but I love to see them and take a picture.........of the pictures! :)
3 Things!
I feel like it has been forever since I have done 3 things............so its that time!
Lily!
1. She is doing something new and we are LOVING to see her growth and how talented she is with learning piano. She loves it and has loved her teacher and learning how to play! It has been about a month or so that she has been going twice a week and to hear her play...you wouldnt think its only been that short of time. It makes my heart explode to know she is trying something new and excelling in it! Soccer is also gearing up so she now has two big loves....piano and soccer!
2. Miss Lily has a boyfriend. Say WHAT?!?! Yep, that is what I said. Mr. Ryker who lives down the street from us is adorable. She has known him for years but he told her he likes her and she told him she likes him....so she told us that they are dating! {Insert....hmmm...OKAY....here!} :) He literally has been over everyday after they both get off the school bus and they have played everything from soccer {as this upcoming season they are on the same team} to jumping on the trampoline until he has to leave to go home. He will come into the house and is just the sweetest. So, I guess since they are dating....with no money...no car...no means of getting anywhere................they are considering their 'dates' to be playing outside! :) {Side note, his Mom and Tyler liked each other when they were little and Tyler escorted his Mom as she was a cheerleader since they both were in the same grade and school!} Crazy! :)
3. She has a heart of gold. Little things matter to Lily. Being thoughtful and giving hugs and saying I love you mean alot to her. She strives and makes sure to tell us every single day how much she loves us and there is not a single night before bedtime that she makes sure to give us two hugs a piece and yell goodnight...I love you the entire time she is heading to her room. She just makes me smile!
Alexis
1. Varsity cheer is on her radar! YEP! 8th grader got to tryout and she MADE Varsity. That is unheard of! Her cheer practices have geared up this week to be exact and she is loving every minute of it! I cannot wait to watch her shine under those Friday night lights this season!
2.Teenager. Being a teen is HARD. Im telling......I remember...it wasnt THAT long ago. It is just hard. Alll the growth and changes and braces and awkwardness and anxiousness and everything else in between can be alot. She is making her way through and learning her way at the same time. Making mistakes is okay but the biggest take away is to learn from them and grow stronger with God's light shining from within. She is living the teenage life!
3. Styling. This girl knows all the things when it comes hair....makeup...jewelry....you name it. She is a natural with it all and enjoys it too! Her creative mind with everything is a shining light. So talented!

The rest of our girl's beach trip!
So we had Friday and Saturday full of nothing but beaching it and sunshine and just perfection of days!
We sat out by the ocean alllll day and soak it all in. On Saturday we hit the pool for a little while before heading to get cleaned up for dinner.
We had a great time!
First full day we hit the BEACH! The weather was perfect! The slight breeze was perfection! Lily played and played in the sand!
This side...we sat and sat and soaked up the sun! :)
Group picture before we headed to clean up for dinner.
Dinner ready! We did more shopping and then came home and watched a movie! Perfection!
Last full day it was a little breezier this day but that didnt stop us and it was nothing but blue skies and sunshine!
This one was ready to play again!
Lily is behind the trees! Literally!
They zipped down one way over the water and then back! She had a blast!
LOOK at her go! No fear Lily!
Us two watched by the water! Such a fun and nice area!
Then LaLa joined us so Aunt Pam snapped from across the water!
Group picture on the big chair! This picture cracks me up!
We ended with another movie night............after shopping some more. We for sure got our shopping in....and then got up this morning and headed out! Fun memories made and huge thanks to LaLa for inviting us!
Our last leg of Spring break!
Us girls TOOK off!
Whoo hoo!
Sun....sand....beach....relaxing...good food and just plain happiness!
Exactly what we got at the beach with LaLa, Gran and Aunt Pam!
We got there at lunch so we ate lunch and then decided to hit the outlets and all the shops. Lala, Lex, Lily and I had a great afternoon of shopping at all the places since it was somewhat overcast outside. We got back and Lily swam for a little while before we got cleaned up and headed to a fun dinner out by the bay!
The pool is heated and Lily was in Heaven!
Alexis wearing her new outfits I had just gotten her!...and LaLa got her new earrings!
A picture in the big chair! We walked around and enjoyed the views, etc before going back to LaLas to curl up and watch a movie and wait on Aunt Pam and Gran to get there.
Update on sweet Maggie!
LOOK at this HAPPY and SWEET...and CHUBBY cheeked....grinning baby!
Maggie is growing and doing so well. Update on her, she will be having surgery hopefully this Fall and then the Nabors' crew might possibly be able to head back home to Bham!
She has moved to a new hospital where she has a special chair to help her sit up/hold her up so she can start learning to grab toys and play! SO sweet and adorable!
Do you recognize these two!?!
Where has the time gone?
Lana showed me this picture off her phone that she took of the girls...........YEARS ago and asked me if I had it. She never sent it to me!
I LOVE it!
Look at those two sassy pants!
This picture makes my heart smile!

Up to lately!
We have been soaking up our Spring break so far!
Beautiful weather....staying low key....just relaxing at home and literally nothing on the agenda. It has been so nice!
Us girls are gearing up to soak up the second part of our week at the beach and we are ready to hit the sand tomorrow!
But....the first part is going to be hard to beat!
When we hear that it is free ice cream cone day at DQ! OH yeah! Lex and I hit it quick as soon as I saw it was happening!

Soaking up our SPB weekend!
We capped off our 1st Spring break weekend with a beautiful day so after Church us three went on a bike ride and then enjoyed the afternoon playing at the park before coming home and Lily spending the rest of the day outside with friends before coming in to eat {once Tyler finished grilling {OH YUM!}}
We watched the horrible Auburn vs Miami March Madness game {where did Auburn go!?!?!} and then crashed to bed after!
Taking a ride! Alexis didnt want to go. Ya know...that teenage thing she has going on..... so us three took off! My bike was filled with a soccer ball while Lily's was with Frisbee discs and jump ropes! :)
Us two!
Lily of course had to climb!

Out of the Office
We are officially out of the office and it feels sooooo good!
Tyler and I took off Thursday afternoon and enjoyed our Spring break earlier than normal because we grabbed tickets to the March Madness game in Greenville South Carolina to watch AUBURN vs JSU!
Yep....
the days when our worlds collide!
We had to wear JSU attire..................which we didnt mind at all.....as we were rooting for JSU......too.....some what.....
but...
BOY...
it was hard to not stand up and yell loud when Auburn made ALL the great plays they did! ha!
JSU played a great game and kept up pretty well with Auburn so they should be very proud though they didnt come away with the win.
Tyler and I enjoyed dinner and alone time this weekend then caught up with high school and even college old friends and even current friends through dinner and the game!
We had a great little get away together!
Thanks to Reggie we had great seats and enjoyed watching with him and everyone too!
Us JSU and Auburn fans! I wore neutral. IN my opinion my outfit was more JSU because it had black in it. Well....I did NOT live it down that I didnt fully support JSU with my outfit. I beg to differ. OH well! :)
Then we ran into high school peeps! Caught up with them for a little bit during half-time! Good ole SHS reunion at the game!
Auburn WINS! Great game...great atmosphere and Tyler was a little boy in a toy store with the fact that he got to be at a March Madness Auburn game!
We went to dinner with the Rays, Dodie, the Messers and then Seth got to come visit since him and Lindsay live there. I was SO sad Lindsay is out of town but super glad Seth came and we got to catch up! We sent this picture to Lindsay saying she should be in this picture too!
Such a fun little trip!

Our low key weekend!
It was a cold one this weekend. I mean...we started getting warmer and just beautiful weather and then BAM...Winter decided to still be around!
SNOW on Saturday! It didnt stay long {thank goodness} but even though the snow left, it was cold!
We also threw in soccer practice for the first time this week............AND............a time change too! I LOVE that the time has changed! Its my favorite!
Lily was so excited to have practice. She loves soccer and has a ton of friends on her team this season! She's excited!
Friday afternoon we went over and helped these two get ready for their first Daddy/Daughter Mother/Son school dance! Being their first dance is a big deal! Cassell CRACKED me up as I fixed her hair. She twirled around in her dress {that is a dress that Alexis wore when she was in Pam and Richard's wedding!} and then Calhoun didnt want to wear what he had on because he kept saying...'It ISNT a fancy dance party! bahaha! Then Saturday...SNOW! It wasnt enough to get real excited about so the girls had no desire to go out in it. I was glad because that meant I didnt have to clean up wet clothes and shoes. :) We laid around and stayed warm until it was time to get Lily ready for the Daddy/Daughter dance. Lex and I had dinner and did some shopping on our own while they danced the night away! Today...its back to being beautiful which I am SO glad! And...tonight it will get dark later! WHOO HOO!
And then look at the very next day! Sunday was beautiful! Lily came in begging to put on shorts and a t-shirt! :)
She enjoyed playing the entire afternoon with the neighborhood gang! Ryker, Abby Grace, Andrew, Lily, Brody, Bryant, Madelyn, Rachel, Callie....and this little girl, Caitlin, that is new crew! :)
You can see Brody in his white shirt bending down in the very back of the picture...these two were supposed to be counting to try and find the rest of the group as they were playing hide-n-go-seek...but they were too busy talking instead! :)
