It's Saturday!!! We have had a busy weekend too! We enjoyed the last day of Piedmont pool being open and then with this crazy crew enjoying Effinas! Yum!

My little ballerinas!!

The time has come! Time that my baby is old enough to take dance too! Both girls are officially ballerinas and it just makes me smile SO big!!

Lily Grace Law is probably BY FAR the most excited happy ballerina there is!!

When Alexis started ballet, she had just turned 3. She turned 3 in July and started class in August. She was SOO excited about starting ballet and talked and talked about it! Well, the first two classes, she bawled her eyes out and refused to participate during class! She sat on the side and watched both times. I seriously was thinking I had wasted my money and that she just wasnt going to do it. {Which totally shocked me and somewhat upset me because Alexis was the MOST bubbly outgoing happy little girl who was never shy or timid about doing anything!} {I was literally speechless about why she was being this way toward something that she was so excited about doing because she hadnt been like that about anything else!}  Well, come the third dance class {right when I was going to give it my last shot} she walked in that class and from that class on.........you would have never known she hesitated at the beginning! :) She did a complete turn around!!! She absolutely LOVES dance now and I can not get her to stop dancing................. and singing!! :) :)

Well.............now it is that time for Lily! {Where has the time gone!!??}Lily is my timid and hesitate child. That has just been her little personality from day one. She will cut up and act silly around us but once she is out in a crowd she sometimes just becomes really shy. Sooooo......when I told Lily that she is now old enough to be a ballerina...... she was SOOOOOOOOOO excited! She tells everyone...and I mean everyone that she is a ballerina! She has just been sooo excited about starting.

So, today was the big day!! Both girls just super excited about it! As it was time for Lily to go into her class, she just couldnt contain her excitement! I wish everyone could have seen her face and how excited she was! She was doing little dance moves while we were waiting and constantly asking when class was going to start!!

So, when that time came for her to go in. I held my breath and said a silent prayer that she wouldnt clam up and not want to go in. Well.................as soon as that door opened, she didnt look back!

She LOVED it! My timid one didnt have a problem AT ALL!

When she walked out of the room when class was over, the girls have to walk on their toes with their arms in the air! It was the MOST precious thing I have ever seen as I watched Lily walk out the door with the biggest, most happy smile on her face! It was priceless!!!

I am so glad that they love dancing because I can not wait to see them up on stage when they are older dancing routines together and just blowing everyone away! ;)

A day in the life...

A day in the life of a big 1st grader! Today marked the first day for Alexis being a 1st grader!

She has been waiting for today for weeks!! 

It really kicked off last night as she made sure her bookbag had everything in it that she needed. She made sure I had her snack ready and made sure that I had her shoes for P.E. ready too.

She informed me that in the morning {today} that I needed to paint her toes and curl her hair! :)

So, once all of that was taken care of...she curled up and fell asleep even with all of her excitement!

This morning she woke up and was ready to go! I painted her toes............and her fingernails :) :) and curled her hair! We had a great breakfast and OF COURSE took some pictures before heading out the door! Everything on her check~list was complete! :)

As we headed to school she told me that she didnt need me to walk her in because she knew where to go! :(    Well, of course I was not going to accept that, so I told her that I would walk behind her to her classroom! :)

As we were walking {me walking behind her} she was just a bopping along with a huge smile on her face ! :)    Well next thing I know, she starts walking into the 'red pod' {which is the Kindergarten pod} So I say "Alexis, are in Kindergarten or 1st grade?"  And with a matter of face voice, she says "Mommy, I am not in Kindergarten, I am a 1st grader!" So.....I then ask her why she is going in to the 'red pod' instead of the 'yellow pod' which is for 1st graders!? She looks at me with the cutest face and says "Oh yeah, I am in the wrong spot!" :)  {She has just been so use to going to the 'red pod' area that she walked in there without thinking!} {See, I did need to help her after all!} :) It built my self~esteem back! :) :) haha!

When she made it into Ms. Harper's class, she was just in Heaven! The smile was stuck on her face! I gave her a big hug and told her I love you.....and that was it! My baby was on her way to her first day as a 1st grader!!

When she got home today, I asked her how her first day as a 1st grader went and she said...."It was amazing!" :) hahaha!

I have to admit...I think this is my most favorite 'photo shoot yet!!' Like I have said before....taking pictures is NOT easy! It is hard work! But...this time the girls just seemed to finally come to an age where they will do what we ask! :)   They are sooooo adorable and I just love every.single.picture.

Even though I lost most of my pictures due to 'sim card malfunction' Highlight of the day...Law Reunion~2014!
Lily asked Nan for 'lestick!' Nan showed her how to put it on and then smooth it out on her lips! She loves lipstick!! :)

OOHH yum!! Even though pictures of food never really make the food look good, well this was delicious!! Tyler cooked his famous lasagna and it hit the spot!!

The girls were SUPER excited when I surprised them with Popsicles before cheer practice! :)

The girls have really ENJOYED Summer and 'water Wednesdays!!!' I................so much....have not! {I have but not really} just because 'water Wednesdays' are A LOT of work! {for me!!} having to make sure both girls have everything they need is though! Wednesday was their last water day for the Summer since school is starting back. They were sad...............       I secretly had a smile on my face! :)

Day 219
One step closer to 1st grade!! Meet the teacher night! Alexis was SOOO excited to meet her teacher and see her friends! Look at this cute board! Ms. Harper's sweet class! :)

OOHHH this little girl is SO excited about ballet starting next week! She literally has told EVERYONE that she has come in contact with that she is taking ballet! :) She makes me smile! I got out Alexis' first ballet shoes.....and they fit Lily! SOOOO sweet! It made me tear up! Lily was SO excited to have her ballet slippers on! :)

Day 221
We had a crew! We loaded up and headed for a bike ride down the trail and to see the turtles! SOOO fun!

Meet the teacher night!

The day has come!.....Alexis' first grade year is getting underway!

Tonight was meet the teacher night and Alexis was beyond excited to get there and meet Ms. Harper!

While in Ms. Harper's class, we did the usual rules, schedule, etc to get prepared for the first day of school Wednesday!

I cant wait to see what all Alexis learns this year and to watch her grow and blossom even more! :)

We have had a great weekend! It has been beautiful weather and we havent been too busy! Saturday we did our usual 'Saturday routine' by having breakfast at Jacks followed by getting Alexis' school supplies! It was tax free weekend and so we took advantage of it by finishing up getting Alexis ready for 1st grade! Yep, she will be starting 1st grade in 2 weeks!! CRAZY!! :)
I am sooooooo sad, but my memory card broke on my camera so all of my pictures that I had on there are gone! :( We had Church this morning followed by the Law Family Reunion! It is always great to see everyone each time it rolls around! The sad thing is......all my pictures I took this time were lost when my card broke! :(   I will try and get some pictures from other sources and post soon about the fun when I can! And..........dont worry, I will be getting a new memory card this week so I will be back to picture taking soon!! :)

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for Lily!!! She pooped in the potty and so we made a trip to pick out new big girl panties!! SOOOOOOOO happy!!! :) :) :) :) She looked that rack over and over {because it was SUCH a BIG decision for her!!} :)  She decided on 'Princess big girl panties!!' She has been doing great since then.....I hope it continues!! :) I think we may be over the hump!!! :) :) :) Whooo hooo!!!! :) {Do you see how happy I am about this!!} Everyone....keep your fingers crossed this continues!!

It is FRIDAY!!! The girls love to ask for marshmallows after they get finished eating their breakfast. I looked over and they both were lining theirs up in a line by color! {My smart little cookies!!} :)
