The 4th and more!...AU stylin!

Tuesday was the 4th of July!

It was another beautiful day and we packed in the fun!

Love!
The smallest Auburn fan wanted to wear her cheerleader outfit! Love her!
Cant wait to see her all grown up and standing here one day!
And...her...oh my! Time has flown! She is so grown! :)
Love them!
Happy 4th of July!! We soaked up the 4th like no other!
And...Lily made even more friends!
We got cleaned up after all the fun from earlier and enjoyed the afternoon before the fireworks! Nothing says...'All American' like Logan's Roadhouse, big bows, a big ole' bowl of yummy goodness yogurt, shopping, smiles, family time, laughter, and to top it off, fireworks! :)
She is 'All American!' :)
Family pic! :) Red, white and blue!
This girl!
Throwing the Frisbee around!
Lily is sooo fast!
She flipped and flipped!
She fanned herself after running around! :)
We walked down to the Auburn football field where they had a live band and a huge crowd!
And..bouncy houses! I hate that this one is blurry...but after waiting in a long line, she made it down! :)
Back and waiting to watch the fireworks!....and glowing! :)
:)
They had so much fun...just being silly girls!
They chased and chased each other...and played! :)
Love them!
We had the best night! There were a ton of people! The fireworks were great!..that we could see. Some of them were shot low so they didnt make it over the trees that blocked us but when we got to see the ones that went really high, we were excited! Love my little family of four and we had the best little mini vacation! We headed home today after the girls swam for a couple of hours and before making our way to eat lunch at Taziki's and got home just in time to clean up...do some laundry and watch storms roll in! Alexis picked out 5 different movies that she claims she loves and hasnt seen in awhile...so as I type this, she is on movie number 2 of them! So far she has watched, The Incredibles and now on to the movie,  Home Alone {I know a Christmas movie :) } Next up...she says, Bolt, Ratatouille and last but not least, Cinderella! :)

Alexis is 9....AU style!

OH we love Auburn!

We could not wait to celebrate Alexis and head to Auburn to do it for several days!

We had a blast and did all of our favorite things and ate at all of our favorite places too!

We woke up bright and early Sunday morning and headed straight to our most favorite place! Two girls were just sooo excited and this one especially since it was her 9th birthday!
This is her very first official picture as a nine year old! :)
We had the best room. We were on the bottom floor {where we requested} and right beside the indoor pool! It made getting to our room and having lunch, etc a breeze! We loved our view too!
We jumped straight into the pool once we got unpacked and into our bathing suits!!
Lily..OH MY goodness! She swam...and swam...and she went down the slide around 10 million times on this trip! She had TONS of friends too! She would play and play with one friend and then move over and play with another group...then we would see her going down the slide with new ones! She did this the whole time we were there! She had so much fun!
The slide was a popular spot!
She is 9! WHAT!?!?! :) :)
Sisters!
Alexis chose everything she wanted to do since it was her day! She chose Outback and wanted a steak....so that is exactly what we did! OH, it was so good too!!
The other end of the table! :)
And, then she got to pick her own birthday treat! That made her day!
Then Alexis chose the new movie out....Despicable Me 3. It was a cute movie, but Alexis and I both agree, the first 2 were a lot better. :)
We sat in the nicest theater. The BIG D! :)
The movie rounded out our first fun night in Auburn. We headed back and crashed after the movie!
Bright and early Monday we were at it again! Fun in the sun with this crew!
We swam, and 'got a tan' and played, threw the football, played with friends and just had the best day! There was between a 60% -80% chance of rain everyday we were down...yet we didnt see a drop of rain!
She got so much stronger swimming while we were there! She swam after everything! :)
This one perfected her dive!
She thinks she is so grown now that she is 9! :)
After a full day, we got cleaned up and headed out for more fun...minus water! :)
Ready to go!
We went to eat at Newks {per Lily's request since it is her favorite} and then did some thrift store shopping!!.....and then after, we took some pictures by the Auburn University sign {pictures to come} before heading back to have the best afternoon swimming, playing games and eating smores!
It was perfect weather and a perfect afternoon to just relax and enjoy watching the girls have fun!
These two were so excited to swim with the pool lights changing colors. It is really neat to watch the water turn the different colors! The loved making smores too........or actually watching the marshmallows burn! :)
Daddy helping them load the smores!
One happy little girl!
We swam until the pool closed and then called it a night!
Stay tuned for the end of our trip post! :)

Kicking it off!

We kicked off Alexis' birthday weekend yesterday with Mexican!

BOY was she super surprised when they started singing to her!

BOY was Imani....and Alexis...and Lily surprised when they put the sombrero on Imani's head first instead of Alexis'! That was funny! But, they figured it out quickly that it wasn't Imani...and gave Alexis the biggest face full of 'pie' {as Lily called it} in her face that I have seen done on anyone! :) :) :)

Today has been spent just doing nothing. Nothing on the agenda and it has been nice! We have relaxed and cleaned up and packed to get ready to head to our most FAVORITE place EVER....Auburn tomorrow!!

And..not to mention...Alexis turns 9 tomorrow!

WHAT??!?!?!?!

Wow, it just doesnt seem real that she will be 9! We are looking forward to celebrating her and have a fun little family mini vacation too! Cant wait!

She was SO surprised! What a fun kick off to a beautiful girl that is having a birthday! Imani came and ate with us and came over for a little bit after Summer Camp so it made Alexis' day even more!
This picture cracks me up because she was preparing herself to have it in her face! :)
Look at it all! She said it went up her nose! And...it went up her nose more when her Daddy tried to help her get it off her face! It was sooo funny! :)
Lily's face is hilarious! She thought it was soooo awesome that Alexis got that much on her! Bahaha! Imani was glad that they figured out that they had the hat on the wrong person! Ha!
Today we ventured out for just a little bit. We thought we would try the new restaurant since it just opened yesterday. We thought we would try it because we saw two parking spots open so despite the tremendously long drive-thru line, we thought the inside would not be that bad. WE we WRONG! We walked in...saw it was a madhouse...and walked back out! It cracks me up how when something new opens in Jacksonville...everyone and their grandmother and their cousin and their other cousin come for all over the world to check it out! So, we went to Jacks instead before doing a Wal-Mart run before heading back home!
This was the view of Cook-Out. The whole vacant lot across was packed full of cars! To me, this opening was more crazy than when Dairy Queen opened. {And that was a madhouse too!}
