Lily's team didnt have a winning Spring season but she loved having her friends on her team and has said she has loved playing!
Last night capped off the final game!

Not a great picture! This was during half-time and they did not want to participate...and the sun was in some of their eyes! At least I got a picture of them so Lily can remember one of her most favorite teams she has played on!
Lily's season is winding down and today was her next to last soccer game and then this afternoon was full of soccer friends, swimming, pizza and fun to celebrate the ending of it!
Lily loves soccer and I love that I get to watch her do it!
After a full day of all things soccer...now we are home and enjoying having the Messer girls over!

I have waited for this day......................for a very long time!
She has such a beautiful voice and sings all.the.time.
so much so that sometimes we have to tell her to stop because we cant concentrate........or hear our TV show,etc.
Her nickname was hummingbird because she constantly sung and hummed even when she was a toddler!
She still to this day sings herself to sleep as she has done since she was a baby!
But...........she just has never wanted to sing in front of the world until finally she got the courage to tryout for a solo and she surprised us during her Spring choir concert the other night!
She didnt tell us she was doing a solo until we pulled up to the school! She wanted to surprise us but just couldnt hold it in and gave in right when we got to the school!
She did SO good and I am SO proud of her and her courage to step outside her comfort zone!
Alexis loves her friends in her class.
Lily is now on the road to a new smile!

She has had her four teeth pulled and yesterday she received her lower device to help stretch and keep her alignment to where her narrow jaw can be ready for braces and her new smile!
This morning she said her mouth was a little sore but she knows all that is happening is for a awesome end result of a great smile so she is being a trooper!
She kills me when she doesnt want a picture. THE expression on her face says it every time! ha!
We havent been able to make hardly any of his games due to Lily having her soccer games or Alexis having her award programs but Tuesday night we were able to make it to his last game.
He is so adorable out there playing!

It was slightly chilly but beautiful weekend to celebrate all the Moms!
My day was low key with Church and lunch followed by us just relaxing at home. We had game night and just enjoyed being at home before starting a new week!
I am grateful and thankful for being chosen as Lex and Lily's Mom. Being a mother isnt easy and knowing if I am doing a good job....or succeeding as a mom is a daily question. No doubt when you have a teenager, you 'arent cool' anymore............'you dont know everything' anymore......and the list goes on. You are 'mean' when you wont let your teenager where a shirt as a dress out because it is too short though to her...it is a dress and just fine. :) To me, Mother's day is about realizing that if when you think you've failed, I have two girls that I am so proud of and know that they think Im pretty okay! :)
I needed this homemade card more than she will ever know. This is more than gold especially since she said she wrote it from her heart and took the time to do it!
A little life lately that we have been up to. Alll the things concerning the end of the school year is upon us!
Lily gave me a 'Save the Date' invite the other day for her 'Learning Celebration' sooo alll of those end of the year fun is here!

End of the year CHPW celebration to kick off Summer was a hit! The food, atmosphere and co-workers were a favorite!

Alexis was inducted into the Junior High National Honor Society last night.
She has worked so hard and is doing so well in 8th!
So proud of Lex and her friends! She has a great group that she is doing life with!

It is so close to Summer...that we can almost taste it!
We have been having some really beautiful weather lately! We still have some chilly moments that I am hoping will move on...
but overall, it is Spring and we are loving it!

She actually has more friends in the neighborhood that Alexis ever did. When Alexis was at her peak of outside playing and riding bikes, etc, with friends....
Lily was always too little to go off with friends.
Occasionally I would let her 'roam' with Alexis but for the most part...Lily had to stay at home.
She hated it! Always would beg to go play and ride with friends.
I had always hoped that Lily would have just as much of a fun experience that Alexis had.
Well, she does!
She bounces from one backyard to the next. To one 'secret' hiding spot over to someone else's backyard and back again.They are always out coming up with some game to play or this or that. I look out the back window and when I spot them...
it makes me smile!
She is SO happy getting to get outside and be with her friends!

I have just submitted my 10 page paper. That also means I have just completed my media presentation.
THAT also means I just completed my comprehensive exam that covered 13 chapters!
YEP!
OH my! But...............it is ALL done!
Now I have a break until May 16th....before its time for our Summer courses to begin!
I am going to take these next days and DO nothing! ha!
Tyler is an hour or so away from submitting all of his as well so he is technically DONE too!
