Congrats Grad!

We had a BIG celebration Friday for Brandon! We are sooo proud of him for graduating from Gadsden State! Pam, Richard, Ben, Gran, Nannie, Hogan, Lana, Brandon and my crew all enjoyed Chilis in Gadsden eating and then headed down to watch Brandon walk the aisle! :) We all are soo proud of him! CONGRATS! :)

This picture CRACKS me up because Alexis and Lily were having sooo much fun chasing the ducks. Well Alexis decided to bend down and try and touch one of the baby ducks. Well...I took this picture RIGHT when Mommy duck said "NO!" to Alexis...and bit the side of her arm. Alexis cried for a minute..or two...but she was fine and it didnt even leave a mark! {thank goodness!}

Our week.....

We have had a laid back week. {which was really needed} We have been gearing up for our fun festivities we did this weekend at Auburn and for the upcoming couple of weeks. Starting next week we have soooo much going on with Ballet starting....Kindergarten starting..orientations....JSU students/classes starting, we have A LOT! :)


We had a cupcake night this week! OOOHHH yummm!! Lily was already asleep when we enjoyed our cupcakes so I am sure you can pick out whose was whos! :)

And.....having fun with puzzles! :)

Throwback Thursday!~ Auburn!

We are fast approaching Football Season! It starts the last weekend in August...which is just in a couple of weeks! :)

We love...love ...love to go down to Auburn whenever we get a chance! In fact we are heading down this weekend! {Cant wait!} There is just something about being down on the Plains! A feeling that I just can not describe! It is one of my most favorite places! :)

This was Alexis' very first time to go down to Auburn! We didnt go to the game...we just tail gaited with my most favorite people! Alexis was just over two years old!

Law Reunion~ 2013

Today we had the Law Reunion in Piedmont. We got up early and headed to Church and then up to visit and see all of the Laws!

We always enjoy this each year! Alexis and Lily have become the "regulars"...as far as the kids!...but Alexis loves to "meet friends" while we are there and play with them! Each year it seems to get bigger and bigger!

There is always a TON of food and we brought home 3 boxes to go! :)

School clothes and hair essentials bought....check! Groceries for the upcoming week completed....check! We have accomplished a lot today!...............and I dont want to even think about how much money we have spent today!!  :) {Even with it being "tax free" weekend!!}

With it being "tax free" weekend....Tyler and I headed down for some yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel {to start the day off just right!!} followed by A LOT of shopping! I got both girl's "school supplies" taken care of! OH MY goodness at all I had to buy between Alexis and Lily! Both of their lists just kept going....and going!! :)

Alexis was sooooo excited to get to pick out her "first day" of school outfit!...complete with a new necklace.....and hair band....of course! :)

We accomplished a lot today but for the next couple of months we are going to have to be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because we are officially broke now! :)

Now to relax the rest of the afternoon...and enjoy Daddy cooking out hamburgers for us! Ahhh....

Whew!

Whew! Week one.....done! :) First week in August....done! Goodness it is already August! Summer is slipping away...and I dont want it to go! I do love football Season though....and of course Alexis is just beside herself excited about Kindergarten starting in a couple of weeks! .Every.single.day. she asks me how much longer she has until school starts! She says she is loving Summer Camp at the Community Center....but that she is just SO ready for Kitty Stone! {Mostly, I think because she loves the big playground!....and her also thinking that she loves school buses!} ;)

I found out today that her Ballet starts Thursday, August 15th. Alexis is so excited to start back Ballet! She loves it! I just wasnt so happy with where she took this past year, so I am excited about her starting at World of Performing Arts in Oxford. I took there when I was her age....so it will be neat for me to watch Alexis preform there! :)

I made it through my first week of my new job! I survived! :) I didnt run out any this week kicking or screaming..........so maybe my second week will still be the same! :) I am truly blessed at this opportunity and everyone that I have met that I will be working with. Every single person has been nothing but so nice and welcoming to me! Everybody has just tried to bend over backwards to help get me "comfortable"  and settled in! :) I learned the "ropes" this week and so excited to just keep on learning and letting everything "sink" in so when it is time to "dive in", I will be ready!

It has been a little bit of a "culture" shock for me this week with how things are at the CON compared to where I used to work! I no longer have to "punch a clock" or anything and I just dont know what to do with myself! :) I dont have to "rush" anymore and stress myself out on "going and coming!" I am responsible for me...and my Boss and Co~workers are responsible for themselves...so I get my work done...and they get theirs, and as long as we do that....we are good! Not to mention being close to home now, I am loving that!!

I give the first week of August an A+ :) .............I hope {and pretty sure} the weekend will be the same! :)

Faster than a weed!

My girls are growing SOOOO fast! WAY toooo fast! They are for sure getting alot of "use" out of cute dresses! It makes my heart smile to see how much they have changed....even though they are in the same outfits!

Laid back

We had a low~key weekend since we had so much going on this past week!

Saturday was an overcast kind of day....so we just relaxed at home! We bought some much needed outside patio furniture...so we enjoyed the afternoon outside jumping on the trampoline, swinging, relaxing on the new furniture...and Daddy grilled out hamburgers.When he was finished grilling...we decided to have a picnic outside on our new furniture and enjoyed eating our hamburgers. We even rolled Lily's highchair on the deck so she could eat her hamburger comfortably! :)  It was a laid back kind of night! Even on the nights when there isnt alot going on.....doesnt mean we cant make little fun special memories together!

Sunday we enjoyed Church followed by our usual Sunday afternoon naps! When Lily woke up we decided to go to the pool to spend the rest of the afternoon! Now....relaxing again before another fun...BIG week ahead! {My first week at JSU}   :)

First Sleepover!

We had the Frits family over last night for a Shrimp Boil and to let the girls play. We all had a great time and they didnt leave until late. Well....two little girls, Alexis and Carli... {the entire time} kept begging to have a "sleepover!" Well....we decided they could especially since it was late and they would be going to bed shortly after! Well they were BOTH SOOOO excited!

So, once Carrie and Ryan left....Alexis and Carli decided that they were going to "stay up all night!" So, knowing really that this wasnt going to happen, I said okay! So, I put a movie on for them to watch while they played and "stayed up all night!"

Well....literally, 20 minutes into putting the movie on...Alexis was out! She just couldnt "hang!" :) I went in to check on Carli...and she was still awake! So,  I asked her if she was okay...and she said she was tired but still wanted to watch the rest of The Little Mermaid. So, about 15 minutes later I went in to check on her again....and she said that she wanted to go home and sleep in her bed! :) So, Ryan came to pick her up....and the "spend the night" party lasted two hours! :) Oh well!....maybe when they are like 9 we can try it again!

Alexis woke up this morning so confused at where Carli was! ha! She came into my bedroom asking where Carli went! :)

History in the making....

There has been A LOT...and I mean a HUGE amount of things happening this week that must be marked down in the History books!

The Headliner is:

Today marked the LAST day of me driving to Birmingham {for work, that is!} and working at Cahaba. My very sweet Co~workers threw a surprise going away party today for me! Complete with a cake, food, drinks and a very sweet card! :) They went WAY above and beyond....and it was SO nice of them! I am really going to miss them!

KIM!!...I am SO going to miss her! She was SO sweet....she took me to lunch to our favorite place...Don Pepe!

Another one down in the History books!!..........Tyler and my 8 year Anniversary! :) We celebrated by having dinner at Effinas and grocery shopping! :) {We are wild! :) } 
**We noticed we both have on green! I told him...that I guess when you hit our ages..and years married, we started dressing like "Nannie and Hogan!" ....because they always have matching colored outfits! ;)

This is BIG! :) I have done alot of fun paintings when I lived in Birmingham!....and to me...NONE of them have been "worthy" enough to be shown except one!...only one out of A LOT of times going!...Well Rebecca and I went the other night for "Christmas in July!" We painted this really cute Rudolph! I am SO proud of it! MARK it down!! :) I am actually going to keep this one! In fact...Alexis saw it and said I did a really good job...and that she wants to put it in her room at Christmas! :)

Sweet soon to be King is born! This is so cool to me that I got to see baby Prince George born. William and Kate..Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in England are such a nice couple! They are mine and Tyler's age....so it is so neat to see them have a Royal baby!.....that is more than likely going to be King one day! :) I cant wait to watch him grow up! :)

And...last BUT not LEAST! :) Mustang Sally Misty is getting married!! I have prayed for her Prince Charming to come and sweep her away...and March 22, 2013 Brandon is going to and they are going to live happily ever after! I am SOOOO excited for them and can NOT wait until their wedding!
