Wordless Wednesday....new kids addition!

So....today....wordless!

and...

exhausted!

Allllll my students started back today...on top of the new 1st semester cohort!

Whew..

it was a great day today and ready to have a great semester!

Monday and Tuesday we had RMC day...and all the other 'fun' that lead up to today!

I survived! :)

Our 1st weekend!

So....

what did we do during our 1st weekend of 2020?!?!

We kept it low key and full of rest to gear up for our 1st full week back to school and work!

Friday night...we kicked off the weekend with dinner with the Fritts, Sorianos, Christophers and Adams. It was a much needed catch up dinner.....for the kids! ha! They acted like they havent seen each other in years! :)

Then Saturday....we literally did nothing...and it was fabulous! That afternoon....these two acted like they havent seen each other in years! We headed over to their house to celebrate Camille turning the BIG 5!

Camille had a winter wonderland themed party!

And Lily won the cookie decorating contest! All of hers were really good and pretty! She did a great job...and we were all impressed! Several people said she needs to go on a cookie decorating show!

Then today was full of Church and lunch followed by nothing else the rest of the day!

Just what we needed on our 1st weekend of the new year! I would say we started it off perfectly!

Kicking off the new year...with a road trip!

We went road trippin' with Nan and Pawpaw!

We loaded up bright and early Monday morning and set our eyes out for Tampa Florida to cheer on the Auburn Tigers in the Outback bowl against the Minnesota Golden Gophers!

Whew...it was a long ride but we made it in strides and we were SO excited to make it down there!

To say we had some unknown circumstances with our food options/choices.....is an understatement on this trip, but once we got down to Tampa...finally got some dinner {I think I have forever banned the restaurant, Chili's, in my mind!}we crashed on the first night!

Tuesday we were up and ready to explore!

We had to make our way to see the BEACH! It was SUPER windy...way more than we thought it would be but we trekked out to make our 1st picture! ha! We booked it back to 'land' right after! ha!

Tampa is so beautiful! For sure would like to come back....and visit...during warmer months!

We found a cute ice cream shop after we had lunch at a unique and delicious Mexican restaurant called the Spotted Donkey!

We walked around and took in the sites! This area was pretty crowded with fans as there were tables set up with vendors and people selling their crafts! It was a fun atmosphere! And...OH..the palm trees! LOVE!

No way the girls can NOT 'bungee jump' if they see this! Both girls love to do back flips as they jump!

Alexis loves to see how high she can do it! She even did double back flips too!

We headed to the hotel to unload and freshen up before coming to the New Year's Eve parade! We had the perfect spot and even was back in the van before the crowd even dispersed!

Lily had a HUGE stash of beads and even caught a light up ring. She has her beads ready to distribute out to her friends that she wants to have some!

Alexis caught a lot too along with this lay!

There was some really good floats!

AUBIE! Whoop whoop!

After the parade....we were on a mission to find FOOD! Not only food...but a restaurant that wasnt going to disappoint! ha! We landed in 'Cody's!' It was perfection! The rolls!...the salad!...the steaks!...YUM-O!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We were ready right at the Tiger Walk sign to cheer on the Tigers as they entered!! We even were behind some of the guy's Mom's so I loved seeing them run up to their Moms and give them a hug as they passed. It was sweet!

We had great seats! Here's to 2020!

Oh...we wish the game turned out to have a different ending...but OH..well...that isnt the case! The Golden Gophers were ready to win...and that they did. They played a great game. Auburn, well, not so much.
It was a great experience, though, despite the outcome!

BOY was it hot, though! We were not expecting it to be the way it was especially due to the weather the day before. We all got a little crispy! ha!

After the game....we headed to dinner and then came back to the hotel to head to bed and gear up for the car ride home the next morning.
It was a short and sweet rode trip with loads of funny moments that will make for tons of memory talks in years to come!
We came...we went...and we conquered Tampa! :) Big thanks to Nan and Pawpaw for helping make our Tampa trip and memories happen!

Reflection!

Year 2019! To look back in time....on this past year...it has been filled with highs and lows...all to which it has shaped my little family and I to the people we are. I am very thankful for what 2019 has brought and ready to bring on 2020!

Here are the biggest highlights and a 'Look back in Time'..................of our 2019 year!

January:
We kicked off the new year with this group to make 2019 the BEST year yet! We had a great time {as always} with this group!

Lily lost her FIRST tooth! Whoop whoop! She was SO thrilled!

We had two beauties!

February:
Always a highlight!...........the annual Daddy/Daughter dance!

Alexis was a TROOPER during her gum biopsy! So very thankful it was okay and it healed quickly for her! Praise!

This cutie pie turned 1 in 2019!

March:
Alexis had her 1st 5th grade field trip! She had a blast at SIFAT!

We enjoyed Spring break...low key style...by doing a quick trip to our favorite place and enjoying the beautiful weather at an Auburn softball game!

April:
Lily had her last field trip as a 1st grader to see the play The Little Mermaid!

SOCCER started for our soccer star! Love watching her in action!

Easter!

May:
We saw our 1st Carrie Underwood concert and had the BEST time in B'ham with dinner and fun with these friends!

Dance recital time!

Lily got her 5 year dance award! She was THRILLED!

We celebrated...red..white..and blue Memorial day loooonnnggg weekend in Auburn with this crew and had the best little trip!

June:
Our VBS was a blast and we had soooo many kids!

Of course...the best time beaching it!

We went to the Drive-In for the 1st time and loved it!

July:
Someone celebrated turning 11......................
What?!?!

She loved this birthday fun with her friends!

Nothing better than some Auburn fun by the pool and under the cabana!

August:
We had a fun weekend with LaLa before school and all the crazy fall fun started! We had the best time at the beach....as always!

And...then....here they are! Ready for 2nd and 6th!
AND....those tans legs of Lily! Jealous! :)

And...we kicked off FOOTBALL season! Our favorite!

September:

Lily turned 8 with a full day with her sweet friends!

Our 1st Auburn football game of the season! Whoop whoop!

October:
I went back for my 20 year high school pep rally! That was something..and so glad I went! This guy and girl came to watch!

Lily had the sweetest little Homecoming escort ever! We love Bennett!

We had a long Columbus day weekend in Pensacola with Brittney, Mitchell and Kennedy to their house for the 1st time! We had the best Fall weekend with them!
