Parading around Town.

This week has been a fairly busy one! We went to Aunt Pam's house for dinner with everybody on Tuesday night, then Awanas on Wednesday and Thursday was the Jacksonville Christmas parade! It was cold outside, but it was bearable for us while we watched the parade. Alexis had so much fun watching the "princess girls" (the beauty pageant winners and homecoming Queens) go down the road. Lily loved all of the marching bands. She would bob her head to the beat of the drums! Alexis filled up her snowman tin full of candy she collected! We stayed for a little over an hour and it still wasnt over so we headed on home because it was past two little girl's bedtime! :) We capped the week off with dinner with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi tonight!
**Update on Ella Jingle!.....so far I think she has had some good reports to give Santa! Ella Jingle has been busy also. So far she has unrolled the girls' toilet paper, brought in snow from the North Pole, drug out all of Alexis' panties and Lily's diapers, gave Alexis candy before breakfast and gave Alexis some fingernail polish to paint her nails! :) I think Ella Jingle is tired...and running out of ideas too! :) (oohhh..how many days do I have left ;) )

Lily excited and waiting on the parade to start!

Alexis waiting on candy!

Daddy trying to stay warm!

Me and my sweet girls

I just got this one picture of the actual parade before my camera battery died on me :(

Yeah, this was one of the afternoons where I think Ella Jingle didnt have a good report to Santa! :) The girls...per Alexis ...her and Lily...however it was ALL just Alexis....decided to pile EVERY single toy into the middle of the floor! Yeah, Alexis didnt have fun cleaning it all up either! :)
As you can tell by their faces...exactly their personalities...Lily's face says "oh no, I am caught" and Alexis' face says "TaDa..yep I did this!" ha!

Ella Jingle decided she wanted to unravel the paper!

And this morning she brought in snow from the North Pole!!...and wrote Alexis' name in the snow too!

Lookin a little like Christmas and Iron Bowl 2012

Even though Auburn has had a really...really rough season this year, I still love my Tigers and say War Eagle! The Iron Bowl this year was pretty ugly for us so I finished decorating for Christmas instead of watching the whole game! Our first Christmas in our new home is looking beautiful so far!
Ella Jingle...the North Pole elf.... made her appearance this morning to keep a check on Alexis and Lily. I think with day 1 under raps...she may have an okay report to report back to Santa. It is going to be a long road for Alexis and Lily! :).....hopefully Ella Jingle doesnt get frustrated and Santa keeps the girls on the nice list! :) ha!
Let the Christmas countdown begin!

Alexis' tree in her room!

Lily's tree in her room too!

Santa's house at the North Pole! I keep seeing Alexis trying to peak in it to see if she sees Santa sitting inside! :)

Meet Ella Jingle! She flew all the way from the North Pole last night to meet Alexis in front of her door this morning! She left a little note for Alexis and Lily asking them to please be nice! ha! (She flew in with balloons!)
Alexis cracked  me up! She walked past her 4 times without even saying anything! So, I had to be like "Alexis what is that in the floor?" She goes..".Mommy, it is just a birthday party!" (because she saw the balloons) ha! she could have cared less! I explained it to her....and "read" the note and she goes ..."oh so she flew? how did she get in here? ...the door and the windows were not opened!"......oh me...this elf thing might be a little difficult for me to do with her and I still have....what...29 days left to do this! ;)

They did love playing with Ella's balloons she flew in on!

We still wear our Auburn gear even with a bad year!

We had a great time seeing Britt and "MeCHell" (Mitchell) today. They came into town to visit since they didnt get to have Thanksgiving with everybody. We had a yummy lunch with them at Effinas!...and then after the girls and I headed to Aunt Pam's with Gran to watch the game for a little while since Daddy was working on his truck ALL day with Paw paw! ;) ha!

Reese T~day..night!

We had Thanksgiving with my side of the family for dinner at Nannie and Hogan's house. We had the traditional yummy Thanksgiving food! We sat around and talked and played Turkey Trivia! That was fun...and Meagan, Mallory, Lana...and with no help of Tyler on their team, won!!

Uncle "Bic" as Alexis calls him!

Blakester and the little Turkies!!..........Alexis kept calling him "stinker winker" all night! She LOVES to play with Blake! They played hide~n~go seek the whole time...when Blake would remember they were playing! :)

Law T~giving 2012

We had a great Thanksgiving with Daddy's family. We joined Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi at Classic on Noble for lunch. That is the BEST place to eat! We LOVE to go there. It is such a great atmosphere too!

My little turkies!

Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone already.  Time really does fly! We had a relaxing and full of food time! My two turkies were dressed so cute in the turkey outfits this year! I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life! I am so blessed! Thank you Lord for blessing me! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving like we did! Now...onto Black Friday shopping to start knocking out the Christmas gift list! :)

Alexis made this Turkey hat at school!...she was so proud of it!

This little Turkey LOVED some chocoloate pie! Just look at it on her face! :)

Alexis asked to borrow my belt to wear with her Turkey shirt! Talk about a moment for me! WOW...thought one day would come where we might share a shirt or two, but she is 4!! She was so excited to get to borrow it! She told everybody!

What do you do, oh what to do?...

This thing called Parenting can be sooo hard sometimes! I have never been so worried or prayed so much for two little beings like I do for my girls daily! I want nothing more than to just wrap them in a bubble and keep them in it forever to keep the bad influences of the world away from them. But, as the real world comes into play, I cant do that.
I want nothing more than my girls to grow up and be beautiful both on the inside and out. To be little ladies and have a love for God shine through them.
Every.single.day. I tell Alexis to be a sweet girl. Well, the other day the real world struck and I found out that at school she took a bite out of one of the little boys at her school! Talk about shocked! Granted...this little boy has been bothering her. She comes home alot telling us how he wont leave her alone, been mean, or wont get out of her face. I have told her and told her to be nice and if he does something that is mean then to tell her teachers. Well on this particular day, they were outside playing and he was being mean and was blocking her with his leg and wouldnt let her go down the slide. So...she took it upon herself to move his leg by biting it. Tyler says....that is great, she was fed up with him and so now he will leave her alone and she knows how to stand up for herself. (typical guy). But, no....I dont approve. I dont want her doing extreme things like that when something makes her mad or she doesnt like something.
I talked to her about it and explained and listened...(I was pretty proud of myself, I felt like I helped her understand what she did was wrong and how to handle herself bettter)...she was punished by no movie before bed the rest of the week (which she loves) and was put to bed early (which she hates). She went the next day to school and said she told him she was sorry.
On top of things like that..she has been saying words that I dont like, such as idiot and stupid...dummy. When I heard her say idiot the first time, I was floored. Where did she hear that word from?!?! Well...guess what....DISNEY movies!!  Yep!...Disney. You know the cute cowboy Woody from Toy Story...or Cruella Deville from 101 Dalmations...yep them among others!
I already limit pretty much everything she watches as it is, but those are supposed to be innocent cartoon movies! I just cant keep her away from everything!
I am always trying so hard to teach Alexis about consequences. Such as...she will say she doesnt want to brush her teeth. So, I say okay that is fine, we wont brush your teeth. The first time I said it, you should have seen her face! She was like WHAT!! I explained to her, okay dont brush your teeth...lets go..but dont cry to me when your teeth turn black and you have a yucky mouth because you didnt brush. OH, that changed her mind!! "Mommy, I want to brush my teeth!" So far doing stuff like that when she doesnt want to do something changes her mind pretty quickly!
If I teach my girls anything about life...I want to make sure they do know right and wrong, and that there are consequences for your actions. I will ALWAYS be there for them, I will go to the moon and back for them but they are responsible for choosing right from wrong. I will do my best to guide them and help them as much as I possibly can. I want them to know that I want to be their best friend, I want them to be comfortable with me enough to talk to me about anything that they want. That I will always be a shoulder to lay their heads on. I dont always want to be "mean Mommy"...but if I have to be I will. I just feel like "mean Mommy" is popping out more than "nice Mommy" and it is frustrating but that is because I cant have the bubble to put them in like I want! :)
Oh, this world we live in, please be nice to my beautiful girls! Please, Lord, allow them to follow the path you have laid for them and...even if they may stray, guide them with your loving hand...and allow them to live their lives to the fullest! I have a typed and framed prayer in each of their rooms, I hope they will always read it and know my prayer for them and how much I love them with all of my heart! (Mean Mommy and Nice Mommy!)

Fall is winding down...

The leaves have almost all fallen off the trees.......and it is getting colder and darker by the day. Fall is almost over and winter is coming. I have to admit, I am sooo excited to start decorating for Christmas though! :)
We have had a great week this week. Alexis and Lily both have been a little bit congested, but at least it really hasnt affected them! We have just been up to our normal "groove"....ballet class on Tuesday...Awanas on Wednesday..and yesterday we went to Alexis and Lily's school for their Thanksgiving Dinner Party! It was really nice and they had great food! We watched a little video of Alexis and all of her friends singing some Thanksgiving songs! It was really sweet to hear them all sing and do the motions too! It is getting us ready for actual Thanksgiving next week!

I love my Fall mantal this year!

Alexis looked so beautiful to me in this blue dress! This color looks so good on her!
  Sweet smile!

Sweet Lily with her sweet smile too! She is so stinkin cute! Here in the past week when I say "smile" Lily...she does the cutest grin!

This is everybody at the Thanksgiving dinner. Nan, Pawpaw, Aunt Pam, Gran, Daddy, Mommy, Lily and Alexis!

They did such a great job decorating!

Alexis, Nick, and Alexis! :) Alexis and Nick are brother and sister. Alexis just adores Nick! She says he is so sweet!....and he is..and so cute too!! :)

Lily at 14 months!

Oh how my little sweet baby is growing up right before my eyes! I am starting to see more and more everyday...less and less of a baby! Lily will be 14 months old this week! I love this age that she is in though! It is my favorite by far. So far Lily is a very sweet, observant and easy going girl! She is not going to be my "dare devil" child if she continues the way she is. She listens so well. If I tell her to stop doing something or NO then she stops..the first time. She is also real careful to do something for the first time. She makes sure she "tests" it out before she does it. She doesnt just jump right into doing something like her sister does. I think she has learned alot from her big sister...as to what not to do! haha! When she doesnt like something though, she will let you know it. She does this distinct noise/squeal...and when we hear it we know she is not happy about something! She still continues to not be a picky eater! That girl may have a little body...but dont let that fool you! She can put down some food! It just amazes me! Here the past couple of weeks she has become alot more vocal and is understanding better every day too. Happy 14 months my sweet girl!

Some things she has been doing:
She loves to get the hair brush and brush her hair! She will come running over to me and hold the brush up to brush mine. She hits my head with it more than brushes my hair...but she thinks she is doing it at least! :)

She has started dropping things and saying "uh oh"...even though right now her "uh oh" is more like "uh uh!" It is sooo cute!

She has been shaking her head "yes"...but this past week she has learned "NO." It is sooo funny!! If I ask her something..or she doesnt want something...she will shake her whole head...and her body.. no! Oh...I laugh sooo hard!

She has learned "more" in sign language now. She uses it A LOT in the mornings because she always wants a ton more cheerios!!

She has now started thinking she can take her clothes off. This is kind of frustrating because she will pull her shirt up over her head...and it gets stuck!

She has started dancing alot! She does this funny little wiggle and shakes her head! Then when she really wants to "get down"...she starts bending one knee up and down really fast! All she needs to add is a heehaw and a knee slap when she does it next because that is what it looks like! haha!

When I get on to her or tell her no, she has started doing this thing where she lowers her head and cocks her ear to her shoulder and her big eyes looks up at me saying "okay Mommy, I wont do what you are telling me not to, Im sorry!" it melts my heart everytime!----unlike her sister at this age who would give me the biggest grin and a look of "okay, Mommy, I know you are telling me not to do this, but I am anyways" and then she would do it! :)

She has also started pointing at everything. When Alexis was this age, I was told to talk and say what I think she is pointing at b/c they are "exploring the world"...so I have been trying my best to say for example..yes Lily, light....door etc! She looks back at me so amazed! ha!

We were at her Childrens Hospital appointment in this picture. They already had their Christmas decorations up, and let me tell you, I have never seen so many Christmas trees! They were beautiful! I lost count of how many trees they had! It was really unbelievable! Lily LOVED to look and grab the ornaments!

This is how pretty much all of the pictures I take of her are these days! She will not look at the camera..and she is always on the go!

This picture is classic Lily! SOOO sweet and with one or no shoes on! As soon as I put her shoes on...she takes them off!

Dont let that sweet smile above fool you! As you can see....she can do the MOST pitiful face ever! Ohh...she can be a little miss drama queen too sometimes!! :)
