Sunday is coming! And it was a great day today!
We enjoyed our great Church service before heading to Hubbards for Easter lunch with Nan, Brandi and Pawpaw before coming home and just enjoying the rest of the day until our busy week kicks in!
It was a great day!
A little Easter treat surprise for them this morning! They love some gelato!
Happy Easter!
Always love seeing cousins....especially since Miles has just started walking! Had a yummy dinner before heading home!
Nannie helped the girls check out their Easter baskets from Gran!
Aunt Pam brought an egg decoration kit so they loved doing the eggs!
Lily's creation!
It was such a beautiful day!
We always enjoy going to the JSU Easter event and this year was just as fun! It was an absolutely beautiful day so we enjoyed lunch and seeing work friends and their families, the petting zoo, seeing the Easter bunny before heading to Grans for Easter dinner at her house.
It was windy...my hair did not approve! ha!
We know the Easter bunny! Lily's friend Caroline...............was cracking me up in that costume! Especially when a lady asked her to hold her baby that was like 3 weeks old! ha!Lily.......and Caroline...I mean the Easter bunny! :)
Eating lunch and then a treat..........or two. She hit the ice cream truck...twice!
Sweet Aubie!
He is truly the sweetest and most obedient cat! Rarely is he ever doing something 'bad' but if and when he does, all I ever even have to do is snap my fingers or just say his name and he stops/knows!
He loves to meow...and meow...and meow when he wants someone to pet him or wants attention. He will come up to me and just look at me and meow and sit there like please talk to me and pet me. Then he will move on over to Tyler and do the same thing.
BUT...when he is hungry. He will sit SO beautifully beside his food bowl. And just sit there. He will not move or meow or anything. Just sits there and waits. We always know when the bowl is empty and he is hungry because he is over there sitting by it. He will NOT eat until after Soccer gets finished eating (even though there are two bowls so he can eat at the same time) unless we tell him to. Then he will walk over to the other bowl and eat. If we do not, then he sits there and waits until Soccer leaves and then goes to eat.
He poops in one litterbox and then pees in the other one. I just think that is the funniest thing. Soccer....just does whatever! ha!
Those dang hairballs....are the only thing that drives me crazy but other than that.............he is perfection! :)
I mean...look how beautiful our buddy is!
It doesnt happen as much anymore now that they are older. I used to love when they would be 'sick' or just want to 'hang out' in my office. I would bring their comfy Pottery Barn chair with their name on it, Rainer, my tech co-worker, would set up this box TV that had a DVD combined and I would bring DVD's for them to watch their favorite Disney movies while they colored in their coloring books, etc!
Well, now they have real school and dont get to visit as much but yesterday, Alexis got to hang out with me for an hour in between her SUPER BUSY schedule and life!
It was nice to have her with me for a bit!
She would on school work while I worked before she had to head to the JHS baseball game and then to dinner with friends.
My goodness, I know I say it alot, but time sure does fly!
So, I enjoyed my view until it was time for her to go!
Lily is really excited about track so when someone....asked...Alexis to come watch him run...
we were all excited to go watch the track meet at JHS!
Now that we have the new stadium and nice field, hosting the track meet for Oxford, Piedmont, Alexandria, and JHS was something Jacksonville has been excited to start doing. It was more chilly than we thought but it was fun to watch and see all the different events!
Lily is going to be running the 1600, 800, 400 and the 200 events when she runs so her seeing those and seeing how track meets 'run' was good for her!
So, an unexpected afternoon for us four to enjoy a new hobby.....and cheer on someone and the JHS Eagles was great! :)
This event was actually my favorite and watching some of them...especially the boys, jump so (what looked so) effortlessly was awesome to watch!
Then...he placed 1st on the 1600! He was about to lap some of the others! Despite being a little chilly, we had a great afternoon!
Cant wait to see Lily out there running soon! And especially excited that this will be her out there next season! Hard to believe it is almost her time to hit high school!!
We cannot talk about who this is....
You will see pictures on April 13th for Elite Night! Stay tuned! :)
We have a certified CPR, AED, child training soon to be lifeguard!
Summer here she comes!
They worked so hard!
Taking alllll the tests!
So proud of her! She is so excited for her Summer!
Lily has been waiting for today...for weeks!
She will be moving to the Youth group this Summer and tonight marked Chruch camp to gear up for it at Shocco Springs! I hate the weather is rainy and cooler but despite that, I know they are going to have so much fun!
Drop off time! This girl...........was excited!
The end of this week........Lex has been working HARD!
She has been learning so much and has really enjoyed training to be a lifeguard!
She still has two days left and her tests too...but she is on her way to having a fun Summer job!
Proud of her!
Starting to learn what all she has to do to pass!
OH...............the laps! Whew! :)
Getting it! She's one tough cookie!
Carrying the brick while she swam on her back. Impressive. I have NO desire to do anything she has been! :)
Classroom training too! They are putting in the work!
Beautiful and sunny, warm, days are hard to come by these days so since we had a couple during our week off.............we have soaked up getting outside and enjoying it!
Wednesday three of us went for a run!...............well...........2 of us did, while the male of the house...was bossy and decided he was our personal trainer and rode his bike while telling us to run faster, we need to pick up the pace, etc!..............yeah! :)
Then Thursday the whole gang went on a bike ride and picnic! I LOVE doing this during Spring break and our picnic did not disappoint!
Topped off with Dugger Mountain made for a fabulous day!
My cute running buddy stretching it out before our run! I love running! I love that she wants to run with me now!
Stretch.it.out.
2 of us running.................the other..........on the bike...........being bossy! :)
Beautiful 2 days in a row! LOVE my view!
Perfect spot for lunch!
This one isnt so little anymore...but loved that her Daddy pushed her!
Her legs go on for days!
Checking out the creek before riding back home!
Nothing better than a treat from Dugger after a ride!
We have been sooooo excited knowing a special 3 year old was getting to stay with us! She did so good and we had the best time with her! It was her first time with us but will NOT be her last! It was her first time being around cats...and to watch her with Aubie and Soccer was so funny! She wanted to love on them and pull their tail....and just have them right in her lap! Soccer was fine with allll of it. Aubie...not so much but he tolerated most of it and then just avoided her the rest! ha!
After Church...us girls...headed to Pell City and had lunch and did some shopping before it was time to meet Mal to get her!
By the time we got home....they played and played with baby dolls the rest of the night before watching every Mickey and Minnie mouse show they could find! Reese said it was her favorite! :)
On Sunday...Church and green went perfectly together since it was St. Pattys day!
Tyler...on the other hand....got pinched!............by Lily! :)
Tyler and I love the rodeo!
When we were dating at Auburn, we would go to the one in Montgomery and it was a lot of fun!
Taking the girls to the same one for their first time, was even better!
Alexis and Lily, both, didnt really like how the cowboys wrangled the baby cows necks to do the rope tie portion....
which was understandable because I do not like that as much either but we all loved the barrel racing and especially when the girls did their turn! Those cowgirls............were fast!
These cowgirls and cowboys were excited for the show!
This is my cowboy!
It was SO good to be there..........and catch up with SO many old college friends! Thanks for our friend Leigha, we had the VIP experience and go to go this tent before it started that had tons of foods, drinks, desserts, etc that was all free! All the kids were in Heaven! :) So...........while we were in there.......we ran into so many former frat brothers of Tylers, my dear old friend Kat, and it just made my day to hug her neck and catch up with everyone!
It was so great!
Alexis snapped this great picture of Lily!
Ready to go!
My country crew! ha!
Living their best cowgirl life!
Found our seats!I mean the view was perfection!
I mean...when is the last time you saw a horse sit down in a car and drive off! We were amazed! :)
We ventured out and saw the Montgomery sights after! The capitol of Alabama!
It was a gorgeous day and a gorgeous building! We ended this fun day with a great dinner at a new place in Sylacauga before heading home!
