Nothing better than Church Sunday and then pool time! It was very overcast today so we enjoyed playing at the pool without having to worry about getting a bad sunburn! We LOVE the pool! Alexis loves the fact that she never knows who is going to be at the pool when we get there!...but there is always someone there she knows! Today she played with her friends Sydney, Cayce and Carson!

Lily was busy telling everybody "mine!" who would try and come up and play with her and her toys! :) OH ME!!

And this was Lily this morning! OH ME!...........between her teething {She is cutting both her top K9 teeth, which are the worst teeth to cut} and the terrible twos kicking in.........I want to pull my hair out! :)

Recital Saturday!

Today was Alexis' second Ballet recital! She did so well during her performance! Her song was a classical song...{not sure of the name} though. The dance company was Happy Feet Dance and the recital was held at Piedmont Elementary School! {Which just so happened to be where Nan and Pawpaw both used to go to High school!...and where their Prom was! :)}

We spent the day leading up to the recital by eating at our favorite breakfast place!...Cracker Barrell! We had some errands to run and we had to get Alexis some new Ballet shoes! I didnt realize how much her foot had grown until last night at rehearsal I noticed her shoes were really tight on her feet! So, we are all good now...she has a new pair! :)

Daddy and Alexis decided they wanted to go to the pool after lunch.........and so they went while Lily and I stayed home so she could nap! When Tyler and Alexis got home it was time to get ready to go the the recital! On the way up to the place....Alexis was SO funny! Poor girl was SO tired! She would start to fall asleep and her head would fall...and then she would pop back awake and then her eyes would start rolling again! Luckily...she perked up when it was performance time and she did such a GREAT job doing her dance! She was beautiful...and so graceful! :)

After the recital we all headed to eat some yummy...and one of Alexis' favorites...Mexican! Nan, Pawpaw, Brandi, Gran, Ben, Aunt Pam and Richard all enjoyed dinner!

Lily did a little CD shopping at Wal~mart! She was cracking me up because she wouldnt take her hand out of her pocket!

And of course...Alexis did some modeling in the aisles of Wal~mart!

Alexis was SO excited when Daddy asked her if she wanted to go swimming! She was ready in no time with her water gun!

And then the MAIN event! :) The recital!

Alexis did SUCH a great job!

Full swing and exhausted!

Well, we have had our first full week at our new places and the 1st week of June is under our belt! We made it! WHOO HOO!..........but we are exhausted! :)
This week we have had alot on our plates and it has worn  me out! ha! The girls have absolutely loved their fun activities this week.

Lily loves her new school and her new friends. She is in the 2 year old class {and she doesnt turn two until September}....but she can hang with them no problem! Jennifer {the Director} said she was kind of worried about Lily at first since she was so much younger than the other friends in her class, but one day she was in the room and one of the little boys was trying to get something from her and she pointed that little finger at him and said no!............so she knew then that she could hold her own in there and would be just fine! :) Tyler told me the other day....that she looks so tiny compared to the others in her class. {And she is!...they are SO much bigger than her! :)}
This week she has loved music time, putting puzzles together, playing in the gym and on the playground, water day and picnic day with popsicles! :)

Alexis has had a GREAT time at Summer Camp! She went Monday to the Community Center to their Summer Camp. {she will be going there full time in July}. She LOVED there because they swam in the pool!
Then the rest of the week and the rest of June she has been going with her friend Walker and Mrs. Becca to Alexandria Elementary school's Summer Camp! She has seen the fire truck...the ambulance and has had computer days and water days this week. The ice cream truck came one day...and today they went to Birmingham to the McWayne Center! She has had SO much fun!

Tonight we had her rehearsal for her Ballet recital tomorrow! She was such a beautiful Ladybug tonight while she practiced her dance! :)

Highlights of our week:

Monday...Alexis came in the Kitchen to me and said that she "braided" her own hair {Tyler put the rubber band in} I think she did a great job "braiding"............even though it was a bunch of twists and knots! :) {Hey nothing like a little practice to eventually make it perfect! :) }

Tuesday: Lily was eating SO good.........then all of a sudden...I look over and she is throwing all of her carrots off of her plate .......one.by.one!! As she was throwing them one by one she would say "ball!" She would throw one as she said "ball!"...then throw another and said  "ball!" again and crack up laughing at herself because she thought what she was doing was SO funny! {Never a dull moment around here!!}

 Wednesday:
This week has been a learning curve for Alexis! She has realized that she likes naps :)
95% of the time..every night Alexis will sing for about 30 minutes in her bed before she falls asleep once we put her to bed! We can hear her in the living room singing anything from a Christmas song...to Jesus loves me to something else before she finally falls asleep!
Well...this week...NOTHING! She has been out like a light every.single.night this week! Summer Camp is wearing her out! :)

I went in to check on her Wednesday afternoon in her room..and I see this! She said that all of her friends wanted to watch Wreck it Ralph movie with her! SOOOO precious! :)

Thursday:
Alexis LOVES computer time at Summer Camp! She loved playing on the computer Thursday! :)

Friday!:
Field trip day to the McWayne Center in Birmingham! Alexis was SO excited about going! I think she was just SO excited that she was going to get to ride the school bus! Mrs. Becca said they had so much fun! She sent me some pictures throughout the day of Alexis and Walker having fun!

Throwback Thursday~Alexis' first Ballet class

This weekend is Alexis' Ballet recital! This will be her second year of taking dance!
so in honor of Alexis and ballet

This week's "Look back in time" is.................

Alexis first year of Ballet! The year was 2012! She was 3 years old when she started taking ballet lessons! She also had some training in tap dancing too! She took at Exclusively Ballet in Birmingham, Alabama before we moved to Jacksonville.

We moved before her lessons and recital were completed.....so I met Gran every Wednesday for several months to pick up Alexis and take her to class. Talk about a long day....but it was so worth it because I didnt want her to have to stop taking classes just because we moved.

Her recital was SO cute! Her ballet costume was adorable too!

Her dance was to the song "The Goodship Lolipop."
 It was sooo adorable watching her little class preform!

Wordless Wednesday

They made it...but did I?!

Today was such a success for both girls! They both had a great day and did so well in their new places! Alexis said she had so much fun! She said she doesnt remember her friends' names but that she made alot of friends today! :)
She said that she colored, and watched a movie and swam in the pool!
Tyler said when he picked her up today that it looked like there were between 25 and 35 kids!
This Summer Camp thing is going to be a huge change for Alexis because at Summer Camp there are no naps anymore.........and she has to keep up with her stuff! {Her bathing suit, her shoes, and snacks etc!}.............so this will be teaching her responsibility and help her "grow up" :)

When I picked Lily up this afternoon..........she was all smiles! Her teacher said that she was so good all day and that she was such a lady! {That comment makes me smile because I am always telling them to act like a lady!} They went ahead and moved her into the 2 year old class also {like at Wee Care} because they saw how she was and that they thought she could handle the bigger aged class! {Talk about...yep...my baby is a "big girl!"} :)
I am so blessed and thankful that my girls are so happy and easy and just love to go! They are very good at getting adjusted to new things! {It makes my life easier!}

Me......on the other hand...today was a total mess! I was so nervous for both of them and worried that they wouldnt like their new places! I couldnt keep my mind off of both of them all day! I couldnt wait to get home and see both of them and talk to them about how their day was!

And talk about WHEW.........but goodness, trying to keep up with both of them is hard! Trying to make sure that I keep up with when one needs a bathing suit and when one doesnt need a snack and when one needs two snacks............and when I need to give Alexis 2 dollars for the ice cream truck, and when to bring lunch and when not to bring lunch and when it is water day and when it is not field trip day! It is a little overwhelming! :) But in a good way!
This is just the beginning of them being in two different places and doing different activities etc.....so I need to shape up! :)
I....for some reason....was so caught up in Alexis' stuff because she had so much more stuff to get together for her first day...that I totally forgot that Lily was the one that actually needed lunch! Talk about a big "party foul!" :) But...dont worry, I have my head on straight now...and I will get all of this new change down! :) {I hope!} ha!

They both are going to be just fine as our lives and "life experiences" change...........I just need to take a deep breath and wrap my head around it all! :)
Day 1............ A+ !!!!!

Spur of the moment fun!

Tyler and I had planned on trying today to make it to the Braves game. We went a couple of weeks ago and there was so many storms that we decided to not go. Well, low and behold yet again there was a 60% chance of rain! So..........we decided to not go again to Georgia.
We were all dressed and ready to head out the door to go to Church when I told Tyler to just check the weather one more time! He looked and said that the rain looked like it was going to be later on.....so...just like that..........we decided to just go on to the game anyways! {Rain or shine!} So we rushed to get the girls' stuff ready and changed clothes and headed to Georgia! We had a great time!

I have never seen weather change as much as it did while we were at the game! It went from sunny...to cloudy, then very dark clouds....to some rain. Then huge black clouds with rain, thunder and lightning came right by the field but never over us so the storm passed right on by.....then windy and cool to back to bright and sunny! {All in 9 innings!!} We were under the overlay so we stayed nice and dry! And...actually the weather was perfect for a game. It was just enough cloudy to not get burned by the sun...and it wasnt scorching hot either!

We enjoyed our time together as always!..........it was nice and quiet! :) The girls stayed with Nan and Pawpaw while we were gone! Nan and Alexis enjoyed shopping and a movie while Pawpaw and Lily stayed and played and took naps! :)

We have a very big week ahead of us! Both girls are starting new places this week! Please say a little prayer that they are happy and that they get adjusted really well! :)

I love to see this Skyline! I love love love Six Flags....and Atlanta! It is always so fun to see the Atlanta City buildings getting closer and then Six Flags' roller coasters on the right!! SO FUN!! :)

This is the first time Tyler and I have ever sat this high at a game. We really enjoyed sitting up there....especially when it started raining on everybody else down below. The view was so nice too! The Braves beat the Nationals 6-3!

Saturday o' fun!

I want to start off by saying........Happy happy birthday to Aunt Pam! She is a very special person to us and I am so thankful for an Aunt who would bend over backwards for my girls! We love you Aunt Pam! :)

Today was Alexis' last T~ball game! It was sooooooooooo hot outside, but we made it through! Alexis had alot of fun playing on the Struts team....and has made alot of friends!

We had a fun day and busy day today! After the game we took the girls to the pool! Alexis was just WAY toooo excited when I told her we were going! :) It was so crowded there, but alot of fun! I love that the pool is so big and is all shallow so I dont have to worry about Alexis swimming and playing because she can touch!...and not to mention there are lifeguards keeping watch too! Alexis loves to play and swim!
Just like last year...she loved meeting new friends to play with in the water!
Lily took about 30 minutes to "warm up" to the pool idea. She sat on the side of the pool with me and watched for a little while before she was comfortable enough to go and swim. Once she felt it was okay...she was ready to go with Daddy! She splashed and laughed! She could stand too....so she would stand up and then plop down! It was so cute watching her enjoy the water! I for sure have two water babies! :)
We all had a great time! We got a pool pass today, so we will be at the pool alot this Summer!

A storm started coming so we ended up having to leave the pool! :( So we decided to come home and get cleaned up and head to Gadsden to do some shopping! The rain cleared and we enjoyed Popeyes Chicken and shopping! {You dont have to tell my girls to eat when we are at Popeyes!}

Alexis and I had some "special" time together............I surprised her when we went to get our toes done! She LOVES having her toes painted! She asked if she could have pink with purple polka dots....and that is what she got! :)

Me...being a good and healthy Mommy, gives my daughter healthy...and nutritious applesauce to eat while we are watching Sister play ball! She was loving it!....eating it right up! :)

Well....then Pawpaw comes along to the game! AND.....guess what!! He has a sucker!......guess what was dumped and never completed being ate!?!?.....yep, the applesauce was dumped and she sure did LOVE this sucker! :)
