Valentine's day!
We surprisingly made it through the week!
We didnt get home and in bed until super late every night and whew, it wore on me!
BUT...today was the day of LOVE and we made the best of it!
What are the reasons why we love Lily!?! Well...everyday up to Valentine's day, I put a heart to let her know some reasons why!
She LOVED this! She was so excited to read what the next day's heart said about her!
Just to name a few:
Her jokes are soooo funny!
Her smile!
She is great at Legos! :)
This girl was ready for her Valentine's day full of love, her class party, candy and more!
This one actually participated and wore a cute Valentine's shirt on heart day!
Reasons why...here are some:
So organized!
Sings so beautifully!
Such a hard worker!
By the time you get to this age......giving out Valentine's to your friends is overrated.....and so are themed parties....but she enjoyed her little gift from us and was excited about the holiday! :)
Lily tore into her little goodie before heading off to school!
My two loves!

Catching up...Valentine's week!
Whew...I have SO much to catch up on that I hope I dont miss something!
This past week....has been a doozy!
So, a look into Valentine's week!............of COURSE we have to wear our LOVE attire whether it be pink...red..you name it! :)
Monday...she wore red! Be Mine! :)
Monday afternoon looked just like this! Lily was SUPER busy getting all of her Valentine's completed for her sweet friends after doing her homework....and Lex worked all.night.long. on homework....and gearing up for 4...YES....4 tests! She not only had four tests, she had cheer clinic every.single.night starting the next night! It called for a very...very..long week!
Will you be my Valentine!?!?!
Tuesday! Wore hearts....and showed off her Valentine art work she did from years back! Notice...no Alexis pictures...she was toooo cool for school to take pictures...much less dress in Valentine attire! :)
Wednesday! XOXO!
Thursday! It may not have been pink...but, dont you worry!.......it was still alll about love!

Wordless Wednesday...on a Thursday...Royal Reader!
I had all intentions of posting this yesterday, however, Mrs. Nelson didnt send me the pictures until today...
so...
TONS of words, yesterday, as I was a Royal Reader to Lily's class!
Lily had told me that she had my book already picked out...DAYS ago for me to read! She said she was super excited for me to read the book she picked out!
So, I met in her room with all her little classmate friends ready to read!
I sit down with the crown on my head....and look at the book ready to say the title.
As I read the title....
I noticed it said...'as told by the Beast.'
Well...
sooooo....
I had to do a 'beast' voice...because HELLO...it was told by the Beast!
I look down at Lily and she is just grinning at me.
So, I felt totally mortified as I did my most scruffy 'beast' voice throughout the entire book...while switching to my 'Belle' voice when she was speaking to him.
I was sweating the entire time! ha!
So, I managed to make it through the looonnng book {I swear she picked out the longest book in America...on purpose!} :)
I had a great time seeing Lily and spending time in her class!........but whew, glad that is over with! :)
Love this little one....despite the book I had to read! :)
They were really intrigued with my story...and my voices! ha!
I asked this 'Princess' how I did once I got home and she said that I did GREAT! ha! Well...I'll take it! :)

Weekend recap!
So....we had a low key weekend because we thought we were going to get snow.
Thankfully...
we did not and we had pretty weather!
To kick-off the weekend, Friday night we had dinner with the Rays and Messer's at Baja!
I didnt get a single picture of really anything allll weekend. Bummer but oh well!
So, Lily end up spending the night with Madelyn and Alexis was already over at Carli's as she had her 12th birthday party which was spend the night.
SO...somehow...out of the blue....Tyler and I ended up having a really quiet Friday night and Saturday until lunch!
Once the girls were both home, we spent the rest of the day just relaxing at home and watching it snow every where around us!
Lily and Hope ended up coming over around 4:00 so the girls all spent the rest of the afternoon playing outside and 'hanging out' before we ordered pizza and called it a night!
Lily {big Lily} and Alexis spent the entire afternoon working on jumps, motions, their facial expressions, etc to get ready for this week as it is try-out week!
Yesterday was filled with Church, errands, and then we had an impromptu dinner with Vic, LaLa and Nannie at Rocket before Alexis had cheer clinic.
So, though we didnt do much, we had a great weekend!
Again, I didnt get any pictures but this one! There are alot of girls trying out and so Alexis is nervous but I have no doubt she will shine and do just great!
I was trying to be secretive while taking the picture of them finishing up! OF course...Alexis is talking her head off! :)

JR. Miss Golden Eagle pageant
Alexis was in the high school pageant portion this year!
I KNOW!!
I just cant believe the fact that she was and the fact that she is just growing up SO fast!
She competed against 7th and 8th graders!
WHAT!?!
Telling Mrs. Sarah exactly how she wants it! This is not afraid to voice her thoughts! :)
Beautiful!
Her 1st time wearing white! She wasnt too happy with this dress but it looked beautiful on her!
Just growing up!
The back view!
Alexis...and Alexis!
Just shining!
Her best walk she has done! She looked so confident and relaxed up there!
She did SO good!
All the beautiful girls! There were alot in her group and it just wasnt her time to win this year but Im so proud of her getting up there and giving it her best! She handled it very gracefully, too, with not placing. One super Momma am I!
She had a huge fan base too!
The 6th graders represented! They all had the best time dancing and 'hanging' out with each other in between the pageant and getting ready for the awards while the DJ played! It is a fun and great group of kiddos!
We didnt get home until around 9:30pm so to say we had been doing it allll day...was true! I was exhausted! 9 to 9...whew!...but helping my girls do something they love and watching them shine...so worth it!

He's awesome!
His hard work paid off....as he is Employee of the Month for January!
He was nominated and selected and we are so proud of him!
President Don....{so weird to say to me right now}....saying some nice words about him! The lady in the picture, she got it for January too. {There is an executive level and support staff level selected each month!}
The official picture!
Super proud of his determination to keep JSU looking great!........even if tornados want to disagree!
