A little of this...a little of that!

We have been up to a little of this and a little of that lately!

Ready for Church on Sunday! She is growing up soooo fast!!
Do you see the sandals that she is wearing? That morning, before we left, she came in while I was getting ready and while she was putting those shoes on she looks at me and says 'Mommy, I am wearing these to Church today because they look like shoes the Jesus wore!' Then she goes, 'Jesus' sandals were ropes.....and mine aren't, but they still almost look the same so I want to match him!'
Sweet girl! :)
To cool chicks!
She is 9! I just cant get over it!
The picture says it all!
CHEER! Yep, cheer has started back and we are in FULL action! I already can see a huge difference from last year.............and you have no idea how relieved I am to say that! I am looking forward to coaching this group and getting the 'love' I had for it back with them because last year.........about killed me!
Beginning formation!
Some of the 'oldies' on the team! Their last year on B-Team!
This picture deserves to be posted again by me because my girl is awesome! Look at her! I love the determination and focus on her face in the picture! I am SUPER proud of how hard she is working and how she is being so brave too! This is NOT easy by any means for this age group to be doing...and look at her go!!
23 of them! They have worked so hard at Cheer Camp so far! Today finishes up Camp but we start actual practices next! Summer is flying wayyyyy toooo fast!

Fun in the SUN pool party!

The fun in the sun pool party was a big hit!

Alexis was so excited to have a pool party and invite ALL of her friends...

so that is exactly what we did!

She picked out every single thing for her party...down to the napkins!

It was a beautiful afternoon and lots of memories made to celebrate Alexis turning the big 9 with family and friends!

Ready to hit the pool! She picked a Pineapple theme for her party so she was so excited to wear her pineapple shirt!
Imani, Lex and Carmen!
This little cutie looked adorable and had soooo much fun playing and swimming!
The food table! Alexis picked it all out! :)
She was sooo excited to check out her cake she designed once I got it home! Luckily........she loved it and said it was exactly how she pictured it to be! {Whew, good thing!} :)
Misty and her little crew loved the water! They had sooo much fun!
How many kiddos can fit in the mushroom!?!? I think Pawpaw tried to fit too! :)
Some fun action in the pool!
Lily loved to jump!
And mess and play with Jessie the lifeguard!
Time to eat! Thankfully Brandi, Nan and Richard and Pam started the ball rolling to get everyone to come and eat! :)
The big 9! How did this happen so fast?!?
The basketball goal was a hit for everyone..especially the boys!
Food time! Imani, Chloe, Kyleigh and Lex
The crew!
Bottom left to right: Lily, Audrey, Addalee, Sara Kate, Bella and Kyleigh
Top left to right: Lily C, Victorya, Carmen, Chloe, Miller, Imani, Alexis {mine} Alexis {known as 'big' Alexis} Nick, Colin, Elyse and then Ellie! Anna, Calhoun and Cassell wasnt wanting to do pictures at the moment! :)
Candle blowing time! They sang happy birthday to her SOOOO loud! :)
Love Alexis' face! So sweet!
One of my favorite pictures!
It took a lot to blow out that many candles! :)
Cake time!
Adalee, Carmen and Victorya having fun on the big whale!
SK and Lex having fun!
Such a beautiful afternoon! It was HOT for about 45 minutes at the beginning but once the sun went down some, it was awesome! Not to mention....a big thunder storm rolled through right before her party time so I got several texts asking if the party was still on! Thankfully it all passed and it was a perfect day for a fun party!
Gift time! She got sooo many cute things! Thankful for such sweet friends and family who helped make her special day special! She had a great birthday!

Put the lime in the coconut!...

and drink it on up!....

NOT! :)

Not the coconut that we had! ha! Whoever made the lyrics to that song...must NOT have had a coconut like the one we had! haha!!

Lily {for whatever crazy reason} has been asking me to buy her a coconut so she can drink and eat it.

I dont know where...or why...she got this in her head but she even went as far as the other day to ask me to take her to Hawaii so she can get one!

So, while we were at Wal-Mart picking up last minute items for Alexis' party, I spotted some coconuts!!

It made Lily's day to get it and she could not WAIT for Daddy to get home from work so he could open it and she could drink and eat it!

So, Daddy got home....got his drill out!!!...to open it up...

and....

then it bombed!

It was NASTY!

I dont know how a coconut is disgusting...but it was! I have no idea why anyone would want to buy it and what the use is because it was not at ALL what any of us had in mind of how it would taste and be!

So, I guess we didnt get a 'good' and 'yummy' coconut...but after the experience of the one we did have...I dont think any of us will be trying another one anytime soon!

Daddy got his drill..........drilled it......strained it and poured it to be ready for sampling!! The girls were amazed watching him do all of this!
Lily could not wait to watch the juice come out of the coconut!!
This day was Thursday and my off day so since Alexis had her well child check, we headed to Oxford for that and then had lunch and got out toes ready for her party the next day!
Taking the 1st sip!
YUCK! Lily said it tasted like pee...............hhhmmm.....like when has she had pee..........but I do have to say, it had the weirdest tang to it!
Then on to outside to bust it open and try it!..............Hmm...super hard and NOT good either! Kind of disappointed in our coconut experience but hey, glad we gave it a try! {To make Lily's day!} :)
This picture cracks me up because both Alexis and Lily were so pumped to watch him bust it open with the big hammer and so ready to try it. The way they look in the picture says it all! They were so interested!!
And...there she goes.... giving it a try!

The 4th and more!...AU stylin!

Tuesday was the 4th of July!

It was another beautiful day and we packed in the fun!

Love!
The smallest Auburn fan wanted to wear her cheerleader outfit! Love her!
Cant wait to see her all grown up and standing here one day!
And...her...oh my! Time has flown! She is so grown! :)
Love them!
Happy 4th of July!! We soaked up the 4th like no other!
And...Lily made even more friends!
We got cleaned up after all the fun from earlier and enjoyed the afternoon before the fireworks! Nothing says...'All American' like Logan's Roadhouse, big bows, a big ole' bowl of yummy goodness yogurt, shopping, smiles, family time, laughter, and to top it off, fireworks! :)
She is 'All American!' :)
Family pic! :) Red, white and blue!
This girl!
Throwing the Frisbee around!
Lily is sooo fast!
She flipped and flipped!
She fanned herself after running around! :)
We walked down to the Auburn football field where they had a live band and a huge crowd!
And..bouncy houses! I hate that this one is blurry...but after waiting in a long line, she made it down! :)
Back and waiting to watch the fireworks!....and glowing! :)
:)
They had so much fun...just being silly girls!
They chased and chased each other...and played! :)
Love them!
We had the best night! There were a ton of people! The fireworks were great!..that we could see. Some of them were shot low so they didnt make it over the trees that blocked us but when we got to see the ones that went really high, we were excited! Love my little family of four and we had the best little mini vacation! We headed home today after the girls swam for a couple of hours and before making our way to eat lunch at Taziki's and got home just in time to clean up...do some laundry and watch storms roll in! Alexis picked out 5 different movies that she claims she loves and hasnt seen in awhile...so as I type this, she is on movie number 2 of them! So far she has watched, The Incredibles and now on to the movie,  Home Alone {I know a Christmas movie :) } Next up...she says, Bolt, Ratatouille and last but not least, Cinderella! :)
