Goodbye my best friend....

And so it begins...................

She is all grown up and refuses to act like a 'little kid Mommy!'............

I have struck a deal with the devil...and there is no going back.....    :( :( :(

Alexis has been resisting wearing bows for a couple of months now...

I mean really resisting...like refusing to keep them in.

She says that she is too grown up to wear bows in her hair and that the bows I put in are waaayyyy too big!

Talk about breaking this Momma's heart!......

For the past several months now....I told her that I would make a deal with her.

If she would wear the bow {and this is each and everyday that I have had to say this} that when she turns 7......................... she will not have to wear bows anymore.

Yes, I know...

I said it...

No more bows.

I dont know what I am going to do...

I just LOVE her in bows....and it is just going to kill me to see her without them because it is going to be a constant reminder of me making this 'deal with the devil' and the fact that she is all grown up on me!

She has been cracking me up because she has agreed to this deal....

but she smushes the bows flat to her head and it looks absolutely crazy but she thinks it looks good because the bow is smaller! :) :)

It is hilarious!!!

This past weekend when Meg and Mal were with us.... Mal asked her why her bow was so flat on her head and to come to her and she would fix it before we left for Church.

I had to explain to Mal what she has been doing to the bows because she doesnt want to wear them anymore! Mal busted out laughing. Thank goodness, Alexis let her 'fluff' it! :)

I have until Thursday........

Thursday marks a whole new journey that I will be living in....

pray for me now! :) :)

Seeing double!...

We saw double all weekend with Meagan and Mallory spending the weekend with us!!

We enjoyed having them SOOOO much!

Alexis wanted them to move in with us!...................I would be fine with that! :) :)

We didnt have any real big events planned. It was nice to just hang out and catch up with the girls before they go off into the 'real world' once their 'real world' jobs begin soon!!

Racing down the road! Fun memories!!
Once Mal and Meg got to our house, we loaded up and treated them to Jefferson's! They loved it and the atmosphere was fun. When we got home, we just enjoyed being outside and riding bikes and scooters, playing and watching movies!
How does he do it? Mal couldnt even ride Alexis' bike because it is so small....but look at him go! :)
Chillin with the big girl!...
And chillin with the little stinker!....
We got up bright and early and headed to Terrapin Creek to canoe and kayak! Loved hanging out with them and laughing the whole time!
On the way to the drop spot....we rode in a van that literally had only one window! It was sooo early in the morning that it was sort of chilly! :)
We made it! It was a beautiful day!! There was a really high chance of rain and it completely went away and we had perfect weather!!
The pros! :)
Love my view!! :)
We ended the afternoon with a nice nap...yes, Meg and Mal LOVE our couch! :) :) And then Tyler made his famous steaks as we cooked out! Later on, we headed to Sonic for some fun drinks and I gave the girls a VIP tour around campus and our neighborhood! Great ending to a great lazy..relaxing...fun day!

The girls enjoyed going to our Church this morning and then having lunch at House of Chen after! The girls were excited to eat there for the first time because they said that House of Chen was where Lana met Vic's parents for the first time when they started dating! Sooo sweet! :)
After lunch the girls headed back to Birmingham! Alexis told them that she wanted them to move in with us! Alexis and Lily were sad to see them go! :)
Later on this afternoon, we met the Grogans at Baja and then they came over and played for awhile since they were in town. They are packing up and getting their final things moved over to Georgia!
We had a great weekend catching up with friends and family!

Beach trip 2015..part 2!

It is now time to continue our long beach trip that we had!

I had to put a break in the posts because I had some 'breaking news' to post about with Alexis loosing her first tooth and then I had to post Father's Day on Father's Day! :) :)

So, after staying with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi for a week at the Shores of Panama in Panama City Beach, Florida, we headed over to Mom's condo at Holiday Inn Resort for the remainder of the week through Wednesday!

Talk about having a long trip! A week and a half at the beach! Talk about awesome! :)

We rounded out our beach trip with Gran by swimming more in the ocean, catching sand crabs, finding more seashells, playing in the pool, MORE eating :), shopping, looking at the real alligators and sharks at Alvin's Island and more and we added two really fun new things which were......flying kites on the beach and Tyler and I riding our bikes!!

We had a great great trip!!!

Soooo much fun! The girls LOVED flying kites!!
It was just sooo peaceful and beautiful as they flew them!
This picture cracks me up! Lily's kite kept messing up so she just decided to be herself and make silly faces!! :)
Alexis told Lily that they could fly her kite together! This picture is just priceless to me! I love the excitement in their eyes as they shared the kite flying!!
Trying to find sand crabs and seashells!!
The girls loved playing in the ocean. They were not scared of the waves at ALL!
Daddy loved riding the waves too!
Alexis was ready to go by herself! :)
Lily worked hard to bring water back to where they were playing!
Beach gals! :)
We ate at a local restaurant called J Michael's on this night! I told Tyler it reminded me of an old college friend James Michael! :)
Alexis flew her kite during the day too! She got that kite SO high! I was amazed how high it flew! It was higher than the building!!
The cutest pool chick ever!!
Cheesing as I am trying to take a picture! No surprise!!
The cutest little fishie ever!!
She was cracking me up yet again! She kept running and jumping up and down along the shore line! I got the cutest video of her doing it! She did it for about 20 minutes non-stop! I guess she was burning some energy off!! :)
They have the whole ocean ahead of them! :)
Catching the waves!
The cutest beach bum ever! :)    Lily and her little booty! Just too funny the whole trip!!
Two little mermaids!!
Lily was awesome at water basketball!!! She rang the hoop every time she threw it!!
SCORE!!
Bike riding fun! Tyler and I really really enjoy riding our bikes while we are at the beach!!
Love my view!!
It was finally time to come back home to this little creature! The girls were SO excited to see Aubie! They talked non-stop the whole trip about how much they missed him! He was taken really good care of while we were gone by Ms. Linda and Miss Leslie though! I think he was excited we were back home but was in shock that the girls would not let him down for like the next several days straight! :)
