Easter 2016
What a weekend..........rainy... one that I really could have passed it right on by.....
BUT.....
what a day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Simple as that.
Life throws curve balls....
Like I have said before, we are broken sinful messed up people living in a broken, sinful, messed up world.
BUT....
Oh what a day that the Lord has made. He was resurrected from the tomb for me and you!
OH what a day! Thank you Lord for dying for me, for washing my sins away, for blessing me.
Please help me Lord to always follow the path you have chosen for me and to live in your light.
I am trying...
everyday...
I wanted to share this sweet throwback picture that Pam posted. It was all of Pawpaw's grand kids on his last Easter with us! I dont remember this.....which makes me sad....but apparently Pawpaw loved to ride us around in this!! I love how he is looking back smiling at us!
Easter 2016 wouldnt be complete without decorating eggs!! :) They made tie-dyed eggs with glitter on them! Super cute!
Final products! :)
They took a picture in front of the new tree Daddy planted in the back yard! We love its blooms!
Gran and the Easter baskets!
The Lily bunny and the Easter chick!
The kids had fun playing Shopkins 'trouble' Lily...on the other hand....didnt really understand how to play! She is a mess!
Lily and Alexis got a kite from Gran and Ben and Meg helped Lily get it going!
That girl is soooooooo fast! She ran around and around flying her kite!
Then it was time to hide and find the Easter eggs! They all took turns hiding them and then finding them several times!
Never a dull moment with these chicks! :) Mal and I match too! Great minds think alike!
And...now Easter Sunday! My two Easter chic....girls :)
She is growing up WAY tooooo fast!
Love this little girl!
AND...LOOK, throwback...Circa Easter 2011! Alexis' Easter dress from 2011 was Lily's dress this year! ha! I love seeing the difference with them!
I thought I would throw this picture in since it was the same year! Look
how young we all were! I had a bun in the oven.......aka,
Lily........during this Easter! :)
We headed to Nan and Pawpaws for Easter lunch after our Church service and the girls opened their Easter baskets.
Brandi and the girls!

Spring break~Part 2!
Soo...we are now at the end of our Spring break week and my goodness, it has flown.
I had hoped it wouldnt.........but knew it would like always!
Thursday was a drizzly kind of day so we didnt do much except head to ballet class and then we had dinner in Oxford before heading home. We did some shopping and headed to see the Easter Bunny for that 'must have' picture of the girls with the good ole bunny!
Well...
THIS picture! Cracks.me.up. We get up to the bunny and Lily starts walking over back to me and Tyler saying that she does NOT want to go up to him. Well, I ask her why and she said that he was creepy and she didnt want to. Well, Alexis kept walking up to him...........and Lily really has to do everything that she does so all of a sudden I see her start walking up there with Alexis. Well the whole time all she gave me was the LOOK! ha! The LOOK of 'I want nothing to do with this stuffed bunny!' :) :)
She was ALL smiles after she was off his lap and away from him! She loved the bunny ears though! :)
Friday was a beautiful day and since it was our last week day of Spring break, I told the girls that we would do whatever they requested! Daddy was working on a yard so it was just us girls! The first stop was the park. They played and played and played there for hours! There were several friends that popped in and out while we were there so they had friends to play with and had the best time!
Alexis has gotten really GOOD at doing this!!
Lily wanted to try! :)
My two little helpers! They requested a picnic and it was perfect! We sat by the creek and enjoyed the afternoon! LOVED it!
So fun! :)
Enjoying a Popsicle! {and the best part was they are veggie Popsicles!........and they are GOOD and the girls love them!} SCORE! :)
This little sassy girl!
After we were done with the park....I had to run to walmart real quick and after that they requested to ride their bikes!
Love this sweet little girl!
Soooo.....they rode...and rode in one BIG parking lot! They had it to themselves and loved it!
They were cracking me up because they were pretending to drive to Walmart...and target...and the Mall. They would park their bikes and get off and pretend to go in and shop and them come out and ride off and then 'drive' to the next store!
After that....we came home and they jumped and swang and played with Tickles until it was time to come in and have a bath!
Daddy came home and they went back out for a little bit and rode their scooters before coming in and crashing!!
I would say our Spring break was a hit!

Sppppring Break 2016~ Part 1
We have had a very relaxing...go with the flow...kind of Spring break and it has been really really nice!
We have just made plans as we go and just did whatever we wanted to do!
The first part of the week we pretty much checked off the 'Alexis and Lily' list of what they wanted to do which were 1. Go swimming and 2. Go to Chuck -E- Cheese!
Monday was just a relaxing day filled with some shopping before heading to Alexis' gym class! She and her friend Mallory before class started!
Tuesday we headed to the Anniston Aquatic Center and the girls swam and swam and swam and swam their hearts out! The laughed and played the whole time!
Lily was a mermaid! She was SO excited Santa Claus brought what she asked for!
After swimming we came home and played outside the rest of the day. The girls had fun picking flowers {aka weeds} and so we brought them in to enjoy! :)
Wednesday was THE day for Chuck-E-Cheese FINALLY! :) :) Two little girls were thrilled about going! I have to admit..............it is very overrated, but they were super pumped and loved it so it was all worth it!
Alexis was SO excited and thought she was SO big that she ate jalapeno pizza! She has gotten on this kick of wanting to eat jalapenos when we go eat Mexican. She begs for them so when she saw the pizza on the buffet..................her face was priceless!
Yep..........this is Chuck-E-Cheese! A stuffed mechanical rat! haha! :)
We gave the girls their tokens in the cups and they were ready to play!!
They played and played and played games and rode rides and played in the slide and maze. They had a blast!
This was actually the only part that I loved! I LOVE some skeeball! LOVE it! It brings back some fun fun memories of always playing at the beach when I was younger! The girls LOVED playing too! They were cracking me up though because they were not good at it! ha!
Tyler had fun at skeeball...........and this......and another game of shooting robots{that I didnt get a picture of}...........oh and this karate game where you chop fruits! {Yeah, I know} He was like a little kid too!
We ended our fun with some shopping and visiting this chick! We love Margie! She was thrilled to see us and my girls were thrilled to see her! Alexis told me that she wants to be like Margie when she grows up! {I am perfectly okay with that!} :) :)
We didnt get to see any of the other Murphy's because LaLa was sick so we came home and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon just relaxing before bed time!
Stay tuned for the remainder, Part 2, of Spring break next! :)

Palm weekend!
We have kicked off Spring break with a bang!
AND coldness..........
My goodness, it is the first of Spring and our Spring break...........
but it is COLD!
We dont have any 'big' plans for Spring break but that doesnt mean we arent going to do fun things.
Alexis and Lily have requested to 1. Go swimming 2. Go to Chuck-E-Cheese.
So........
we do have those two things on the list! :)
This weekend was low key with some baseball, a wedding and Palm Sunday at Church!
Friday afternoon was beautiful so we loaded up and headed to the JSU baseball game! It was a great evening to sit out but it was cut short because a certain little one..........named Lily fell asleep so we headed home to put her to bed. :)
Congrats to Linda and Bran. The girls were SUPER excited to see everybody and feed the ducks!
Palm Sunday! The Sunday before Easter! The girls begged to wear 'No more socks Mommy, I want to wear my 'fancy' shoes, {per Lily} and my 'high heels' {per Alexis} Well, I tried to tell them it was chilly outside but they wore it anyways............and complained about being cold! Oh me!
Lily was ready to go and wave the Palm branches with her friend! Alexis was in charge of helping the younger kids. She held hands with a precious little boy named Jackson. Well, Jackson saw his Daddy and took off running to him while they were parading down the aisles in Church. It cracked me up because the look on Alexis' face of 'I dont know what to do since he is running away' was hilarious! :) :)

A Spring day and a Spring wedding!
Today marked the day that Bran and Linda tied the knot!
The rain held off and it turned into a beautiful day for a water front wedding!
So happy for Brandon....and welcome Linda to the family!
Pam did a great job on the decorations and the food! It was for sure 'spring-ist' :) If that is a word! :)
My two dates!...and Tyler, he helped a friend kill a turkey this morning so he got to Pams right before the wedding! :)
A beautiful setting!
The Bride and Groom!
Such a cutie!!
LOVE this picture...........and the girls in it!!
The cousin crew! I am an old fart in this picture! :)
Alexis and Lily spent the rest of the afternoon throwing rocks in the water and feeding the ducks!
with Richard tagging along with them! :)
