She was ready to roll and she rolled!

Lily asked this morning if it was 'her day!'

What she meant by that was....

was it her to day to have her pictures 'only' with the 'sign' that has when she starts school!

I think she has been waiting for this day for a looong time!

She had such a great day today and just can.not.wait.to.go.back.tomorrow.

So, officially her turn to have pictures with the 'sign!' :)
She was ready to roll!
Such a sweetie!
My little one is ready to go off and conquer this big ole world too!
2nd day for Alexis! She had a great 1st day! She loves Mrs. Wilson......now! :)
Sweet girls!....that are growing up WAY tooooo fast!
Sisters! Alexis is a great big sister {even though yes, she does argue with Lily some :)} but she looks out for Lily and makes sure she is always okay! Today it was so sweet seeing how Alexis was taking care of Lily and helping her get to her new class with her new teacher! :)
And, they made it in! They were ready and so excited!

Walking the new halls!

Today marked history!!

The news crews were ALL out....

The new school was open and ready for the eager kiddos to embark on their new school year!

Alexis was excited but also nervous about starting today. She actually said she wanted me to walk her in this year! Last year she left me and didnt want me to. :) She did threaten to leave me if I didnt stop taking pictures though! haha!!

She came home today and said that she had the BEST day! Im so glad! :)

She even had her first homework assignment tonight that she had to work on! She had to decorate a brown paper bag and then fill it with items that describe her. She chose her 'Hello Kitty' small stuffed animal, a picture of her in her cheer uniform during Cheer Competition last year with Cocky and a Little Mermaid {Ariel} Lego piece because she loves all Disney movies, especially The Little Mermaid and has been obsessed with Legos lately! She practiced what all she is going to say tomorrow about herself as she describes what all she chose! She is so excited about her 'first homework assignment'.....oooohhh, I really think that she thinks that the homework is going to continue to be this easy and fun! :) She is in for an awakening. :)

Where oh where has the time gone! My grown-up third grader!
I love this picture of my two cutie pies! The littlest cutie pie has her 1st day tomorrow!!! :)
Off to conquer the world this year too! :)
She is ready to roll!
She walked the hall as the very first 3rd grade class in the new school! To me, that is SUPER cool!
And she made it safe and sound! Love her and I pray that she has the best year yet!

The energizer bunny meets her teachers!

So, the energizer bunny met her teachers today and she was SO excited!

Mrs. Bowman and Mrs. Waddell are super cute and sweet and I think Lily is going to have a great year with them!

I am SO excited she is starting 'big girl' school!!

Thursday will be her big day and she is SO excited for it to get here! :)

Alexis had her last day of Summer Camp today. More than half of the kids were missing due to all the other schools actually starting school today so it was just Kittystone kids there. Since it was just Kittystone, they got to enjoy another fun swim day so Alexis was pumped! She has had a blast at camp and Im thankful that she has!
And this little cutie met Mrs. Bowman and Mrs. Waddell! I hope they learn quickly that she is a ball of energy and are ready for her! :) I cant wait for her to grow this year and have a great experience with 'school!' :) :)

Tomorrow marks Alexis' first day of school!! Goodbye Summer! :(

Meet...Mrs. Wilson!

Alexis is soooo excited about starting 3rd grade.....

she has been nervous about meeting and having Mrs. Wilson as her teacher only because she really wanted Mrs. Mallett.

But, after meeting her tonight and Alexis seeing who all is in her class, she feels a lot better and now really is super excited!

Im very glad because I know she will have a great year and I am looking so forward to watching her grow in 3rd!

We had meet the teacher Orientation tonight and it is always fun to see everyone and the anticipation of who is in the class together and all the learning of the new policies, new procedures, homework schedules, and can I just say WHEW! :) It takes a very organized person to stay on top of it all!

The new school is beautiful! We were all soooo excited to finally get to see inside and see where the girls new 'home' will be!

I am SUPER excited that Lily will be the first official Pre-K class at the new school and Alexis will be the first 3rd grade class too.

Talk about history in the making! :)

Lily was SUPER excited to see her new school and I took her to Mrs. Bowman's class and let her look in there and she just can.not.wait. to meet Mrs. Bowman and all of her new friends tomorrow during her Orientation!

Meet Mrs. Wilson! It is going to be a great year!
Victorya, Alexis, Caroline, Sarai and Carmen! Love all of these girls like they are mine and so happy they are in the same class this year!

'The last weekend' and Law Reunion!

Where has the Summer gone?

This Summer has for sure flown by. It has been a whirlwind! It already feels like all of our fun vacations, etc that we have been on seems like decades ago.

This week marks a big week with meeting teachers and starting school!

Oh me!

We have had a great 'last weekend!'

We capped off the weekend with the Summer Camp fun pool party and cook-out! It ended up being a perfect afternoon {as far as heat wise} to actually sit out and enjoy watching the girls swim! The last pool party we went to {with our Church} we were miserably hot!!

We got up bright and early and ready to take Alexis to Carmen's birthday party! This crew headed to 'Tigers for Tomorrow' in Attala and enjoyed the afternoon looking at huge bears, tigers, wolves, etc! Alexis had a blast...especially while being with her friends!
Meanwhile...this chick had to hang out with Mommy and Daddy while Alexis was gone. Sooo....that meant...she got candy at the store!...exactly what she wanted to pick out, she got! :)
And then at the second stop....she got to push her own buggy! Do you see how excited she is to have a buggy?!?! IT is the little things! :) :)
And...then making her work for food! :) She thought that she was sooo big to push her cart up...unload it............except............she didnt pay for it! {That is what we need to work on!} :)
Then once we got home....she did some of this! She pulled out and lined up all of her stuffed animals and played 'Dr. Lily!' She gave them all shots, checked their ears, etc. On her winnie dog, she performed surgery because it had a hot dog stuck in its belly {per her!} :)
And...she did some of this too! This cat LOVES him some Lily! FYI, he was passed out asleep like this in her lap!!!!! {And...she is watching a movie!...her choice since Alexis was gone!} :)
Then once we got this one back....we hit the parking lot for a bike ride!
Look at this concentration!
They LOVE to go and ride in the JSU parking lot! Here they were playing 'Policeman' where Alexis was the police....and {as you can see in the picture} Lily is running from the police! hahaha!! Alexis turned around and starting yelling...stop, this is the police...............and Lily goes, 'What did I do policeman!?! I didnt do 'nuthin'! {nothing} :) :)
And today we had Church followed by the Law Reunion! We look forward to this every year! Every year there is always a great turn-out!
The 'cool table' :)
The FOOD table! YUM! Look at all of that food! Nan helped set it all up!
Lily loves her Pawpaw! And Minnie {Ted's sister} looks great as usual!
Look at the crowd! There was a great showing of Law's! :)

Through those doors...

This was a BIG week....

This is the last week of Summer break {insert sadness here}...which means the last full week of Summer Camp for Alexis {she still has 2 days next week since 3rd grade starts Wednesday!}

AND...

the last week for Lily to walk through the doors of Kids 1st.

Yep, it is official...

she is done with pre-school!

Just like that!....done....and growing up! {Insert more sadness here!} :)

The girls got their letters in the mail this week and they were SOOOO excited to rip them open and see who they got for their teacher!
Alexis got Mrs. Wilson. She wasnt too happy about this...just because she doesnt know her but I have spoken with several friends who their children had her and they said nothing but great things about her so I am excited about Alexis having her and having a great 3rd grade year!
Lily was SOOOO excited to see who her teacher is going to be also! She will have Mrs. Bowman. She is new this year so we are excited to meet her this coming week during Orientation! This little chick is SUPER excited about starting 'big girl' school!! :)
And....today

TODAY....was the last day....ever...that she will walk trough the Kids 1st door! She has such a great experience at Kids 1st and learned so much. I am so thankful that she has had such a great experience and that all of the teachers have loved her like their own! We are going to miss everyone {including some of her friends that are staying behind} but looking forward to new experiences and places too! :)
She wanted me to take another picture of her walking through this door too! She said...'Mommy, this is my last time to walk through this door too!'
Summer Camp had a fun pool party tonight to celebrate the new school year starting and so the girls LOVED getting some swimming fun in!
Alexis has had SUCH a GREAT time at the Community Center during Summer Camp this Summer! She has met soooo many new friends that not only go to Kittystone, but other county schools too! I have loved that she has had such a great experience there!
This is Sadie! Alexis says that Sadie is her 'very best friend!' OH me! :) Sadie goes to Alexandria! :)
Lily taking a break from swimming to eat a grilled hot dog and get a sip! :) Such a fun afternoon to lead into the last weekend before school starts! Where has the Summer gone!?!?!

Six Flags and lemonade weekend!

Sooo.....

the girls have one weekend left before school starts!

We have been gearing up for it by trying to pack in some fun and getting school supplies!:)

We had a low key Saturday where we actually didnt even go anywhere!....well except to eat breakfast at our local normal Saturday morning stop {Jacks} followed by the usual Wal-Mart trip. I dont count doing those two things as 'going anywhere and doing anything' because that is just a common staple on the weekends! :)

Saturday we stayed in and the girls played outside and enjoyed the beautiful day until the thunder started rolling in.

They had to close up their Lemonade Shop when the storm starting coming so we headed to the basement to have 'family movie night'...per Alexis {even though it ended up being actually 'family movie afternoon} :) by watching Zootopia! {What a cute movie with a great story line!}

The girls did some sidewalk drawing for awhile!
And.....of course.....jumped on the trampoline and did the swings!
Then they decided to have a Lemonade stand! So....they made their own Lemonade!
Lily HAD to have the Pink Lemonade! Notice on her sign...she had to be sure to put Pink! :)
And, Alexis HAD to have regular Lemonade! :) .....so she put Yellow Lemonade on her sign!
 They are open for business! They had 3 customers {not counting Tyler and I!} Their very first customer was our neighbor, Mr. Ted. Well, he gave Alexis a dollar and only got two cups of lemonade {one from each girl} well......Alexis didnt want to give him his change! OH me! So, she kept the dollar {and gave Lily her portion!}
As the storm rolled through....we watched the movie! This was my view! Lily in my lap and Alexis intently watching the movie! :) :)
Then the battle of basketball! Look at each of their throws! Lily was SO good! She has the stance and the throw down! She shot with one hand and everything! Look at Alexis....yes.......GIRLY girl! :) She threw with both hands....just like a girl! :)
We had our fun day Sunday at Six Flags! We brought Alexis' friend Caroline along with us! We had a great day....until the storms came through and we were stranded under a little umbrella table for 2 hours waiting on the rain to stop. We ended up heading home once the rain finally slacked because  the storm wasnt going to end. We didnt get to ride everything we wanted, but we still had fun on the things we did! We capped off the afternoon by eating at Los Mex before heading home...so that was a win! :)
There was a sign that said 'Make your most SCARY face and we will take your picture' Well....this was theirs right before we rode Monster Plantation! :)
These two didnt want to ride Splash Waterfalls.................but I sort of tricked them into riding it! I told them that they were not allowed to stand on the other side {like they did for some of the rollercoasters that they didnt want to ride} so they rode it...........AND LOVED IT! They both were like....that was SOOOO fun! Im soooo glad I rode it! :) See....I knew that they would! Here they were trying to get wet again as the other rides came down! :)
We rode Thunder Mountain and it was sooo much fun! Alexis and Tyler got the most wet!!! :)
This picture is PRICELESS! Look at Alexis' face! That is PURE happiness and excitement! Tyler said she bumped the bottom track the whole way around! haha! She and Caroline thought they were SOOO big getting to drive by themselves!
And now....today!....today is this little one's last week at Kids 1st before she goes off to 'big girl school' She is little miss SASSY pants and ready to go to 'school!' :)
