PCB 2020 part 1

Oh...we long for the beach!

Every year we are READY to go!

This year...we were not sure if we were going to get to actually go on our annual beach trip and we were all going to be highly disappointed if it didnt happen. Thankfully, the resort opened up a day before we got down there!

So, we were down there right after it was thoroughly cleaned and spic and spanned!

It was soooo nice and we were soooo glad and thankful that our beloved trip didnt have to be cancelled!

All the measures that were put into place and guidelines made us feel safe and clean. Now..when they did the daily pool cleaning, we didnt like that so much as we had to leave, everyday, so they could do it. We were thankful they did, though, so we didnt mind too much! We would just make our way to the beach for our walk...or take a break in the room or whatever so we made the best of it!

This year was different than the past years. Every other year, we would head up around 4 to get a shower and get ready to go out or the afternoon/night to dinner and whatever else we had planned. This year....we just literally relaxed. And...it was so nice! We stayed in our bathing suits allllll day. We grilled out every night but two. We soaked up the pool, beach, etc. We loved seeing the sunsets every night. We didnt rush. We didnt fight the crowds. We just enjoyed what we had. It was fantastic! Tyler and I talked about it and said...that this COVID thing hasnt been all that bad because it truly has made people {us} realize change isnt bad...change is needed and next beach trip, the changes we made, we will be excited to keep!

Tyler and I didnt have the girls on Saturday...when we headed to the beach...but that didnt stop us from waking up super early and getting down to have our toes in the sand!
We literally got down there...grabbed a quick lunch and didnt leave the beach until it was dark!

No worries....nothing but blue skies and sand on my toes!

We had the best day....of just us soaking up the sun rays and beach waves!
Gran and Ben made their way down too, and they enjoyed the room and the balcony too!

Sunday we headed to Destin to get the girls and have a family day with everyone. We all met at LaLa's beach house since she was down! We all ate lunch and swam the whole day before heading back to PCB!
It was fun to be with everyone and enjoy our 1st full day in Florida!

We were glad to see the girls as they had been with Brittney, Mitchell, Aunt Pam...and this little chick the whole week before! It was extra fun to hang with this little one and see her too! She is a mess! :)
We headed back late afternoon to PCB. Got back and showered and crashed after our full and fun day in Destin!

Monday! Our 1st full day in PCB! Lily was ready to hit the beach! This picture cracks me up!! Her face! She would not be still long enough for me to snap a picture of her! She was on a shell mission and boy did she accomplish it! She brought home a TON of shells..that she says she is going to make necklaces for her and allllll of her friends! {Per her, to have 'best friend' necklaces!} :)

We swam, played, walked, hunted for fish, floated, played basketball, and MORE on this day! We stayed out allllll day and alllll afternoon!

We watched a movie...{Monday, Wednesday and Friday} by the ocean and that was so much fun! Every other year, we would be out in the hustle and bustle that the girls would miss the movies. It was sooo nice to watch it with the breeze and the views! Ahhh...nice!
