They are heading to Nationals TONIGHT, after the run-through to get ready for competition on Thursday!

GOOOOD LUCK! Alexis and I are SO excited for them!!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Miss Leslie! She is one of my students and she is just an all around great girl and such a great role model for Alexis! She is going to be a fabulous nurse soon and getting married and just beautiful! Alexis just is giddy every time she is around Leslie! :) Alexis made the sweetest good luck card for her and gave it to her right before this picture! It was SO sweet! :) :)

So much Easter fun!

We have had a TON of Easter fun this Easter!

We started yesterday off by making Easter eggs at home to get ready for the remainder of the Easter events we had!

After that we got ready and headed to Aunt Pam's in the now famous 'Rainbow City' to enjoy Easter with my side.  {Alexis and Lily just think that Rainbow City is just the grandest place ever now that both Gran and Aunt Pam live there!!}

We had a long afternoon of cooking out, hanging out, riding the boat, finding Easter eggs and just relaxing...we headed home for much needed bedtime!

And...today is Easter!

I asked the girls what happens on Easter and Lily said "Jesus died on the cross." and Alexis finished it by saying "And he disappeared from his 'cave' 'tomb' place!" :) I love that they are understanding the real reason for Easter and I love to hear their little version of it!

After our Easter service, we headed to O'Charley's with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi for lunch. After that, the girls headed to their house to spend some time with them and find Easter eggs while Daddy and I did some much needed errands and washing clothes, etc at home that I have not gotten to do since we have been SO busy! :)
The girls were soooo excited to make eggs!!

And the final result! Lily's on the left and Alexis' on the right!!
Gran had the girls' Easter baskets from her that they opened and enjoyed while we were there.
And...3!!...eggs hunts! Yes, the girls were putting Blake and Meg to work!!
My little Easter bunny! :)
Lily counting how many eggs she got! She kept saying 'Im the winner!' after each hunt! :)
Alexis scored the GOLDEN egg!! She was thrilled! It was sooo sweet! This morning she put that dollar in the offering plate at Church! :)
Two bunnies!
Having fun with some fun things Aunt Pam had! Meet Alexis the bunny!!
OHH Lily! She loves to mess with Uncle Vic....and Uncle Vic loves to mess with her! She kept putting these sticks on him....and her shoe! :) :) :)
Stinker!!
The girls begged to go out on the boat! Soooo...Daddy did too and so he drove them around for a little while!
Picking out the Easter present from Nannie! Nannie LOVES these things that sing and dance...and make a lot of noise....and SO does Lily!
Easter Sunday at O'Charleys! Alexis loved her basket after we ate! She got a super cute bathing suit!!
Pawpaw helping Lily open her basket to find her cute bathing suit too! I am sooo excited!!...this is going to be the first Summer that there will be NO swim diapers!! WHOO HOO!!
The girls with Pawpaw!!
And the best attempt I could get of an Easter family picture! Alexis is purposely making a funny face and Lily is whining about not wanting to take a picture! {Welcome to real life!} :) :)

My first grand daughter egg baby and more eggs!.....

Today was GOOD Friday! And a GOOD Friday it was! It was a beautiful beautiful day to celebrate good Friday!

I had to go to Birmingham for a Children's Hospital meeting so I got to enjoy the day there and get some fun shopping and lunch done too! :)

Lily's school was closed today so Nan kept her and they enjoyed a fun day full of getting their nails painted!

We capped off the afternoon with First Baptist Church of Saks' Easter egg hunt!

They had a TON of fun things for the girls to do! They had a merry-go-round, a 'spin-a-wheel', two bouncy houses, hot dogs galore, and to top it off....a TON of eggs!

The girls had another fun time doing their egg hunts!!

Before we dive in to the picture fun of the Easter egg hunt tonight....let me tell you about my first 'grand daughter' egg baby! Alexis' 1st grade class had to make an egg baby for Easter and carry it around and take care of it all day at school! Alexis worked sooo hard on making her baby!! She was SO proud of it!
There she is! Meet Blaklie! {She named her Blaklie because she told me that it looks like her teacher at Kids First whose name is Blaklie!} :) Alexis LOVES Miss Blaklie and thinks she hung the moon! She loves how Miss Blaklie puts on her lipstick too! :)
She had to have blonde hair! :) :)
Blaklie is all bundled up and ready to go with her Mommy to school for the day! Alexis took really good care of her and she actually made it back home all in one piece!!!
Now....Easter egg fun time!! This was a cute Easter Bunny!!!
Both girls got their faces painted! The one and only famous Misty did the honors of painting a bunny on Lily's face! Lily was sooooo still the whole time she was painting!
Cute bunny!!
Alexis decided she wanted an Easter egg painted on her face!
And...then after bouncing and playing and riding...it was time for Lily's egg hunt! Soooo many eggs and one little girl that was ready to go!!
She was off! Not sure what her strategy was on picking her eggs. She would run past 10 eggs to pick up one. {which was usually the color pink or purple} Then Daddy told her to run and pick them all up and then come and dump her basket and then run and get more and come back and dump and so on.....
Alexis guarded Lily's eggs while Lily ran to get more!
Then when Lily was finished....Daddy counted ALL that she had! She had 91 eggs!!!!
She got a huge pink bunny for her prize!!!
Now Alexis' turn! Sweet and such a cutie pie Christian was ready to on the hunt with her!
She was off! She got 39 eggs on her hunt! :) :)
She was tired after running so much! :) She got a purple beanie baby bear as her prize. We all had a great time on such a beautiful warm day!!

OOOHHH Lily and eggs!!!

We are in full Easter egg hunting swing now!

Tonight we had our church's Easter egg hunt! It was a 'glow in the dark' egg hunt!

We had a great turn out and the girls had so much fun!

Before I dive in to the fun night we had tonight..................let me tell you all about a little story concerning Lily!...................
So, this morning as I am fixing her hair, I notice that one side is super super SUPER short for some odd reason.....
I start to wonder in my mind....what has happened, how has her hair fallen out?? What is going on??....
Then, HORROR comes over me and I ask her...........
'Lily, did you cut your hair???'.........
She looks at me and says....
'Hmmm.......yes....'
I then say....'WHY'..........
she says...'I wanted it out of my face, so I cut it'
Then, Alexis starts piping in on the conversation that 'Yes Mommy, she had the scissors last night right before bedtime and she was cutting her hair'...........
So, I then ask Alexis....'Why did you not come to me and tell me that she had them and that she was cutting her hair???!!!'.....................
Alexis responds by saying...'Well, Mommy.....I didnt want Lily to get in trouble'...........
Says the person...YES, coming from the person that is always the first....FIRST...person to tattle on Lily to get her in trouble............
OHHH ME.....never, NEVER a dull moment around here!!
{Now...only to figure out what to do about her hair!! She needs a hair cut now because it looks really odd now but I dont want to cut it to match the new now shortness because she is not far away from ballet pictures and her recital and I want her to be able to pull her hair back in a pretty bun}....OOH me!
We headed to church for a fun dinner and egg hunting! These two were so excited!
Lily did a great job finding eggs!! She is a pro!
And, so is Alexis!
Everybody played a little while finding eggs! :)
Look at my basket she yelled!!! :) :)
And look at this one too!!
