My first grand daughter egg baby and more eggs!.....

Today was GOOD Friday! And a GOOD Friday it was! It was a beautiful beautiful day to celebrate good Friday!

I had to go to Birmingham for a Children's Hospital meeting so I got to enjoy the day there and get some fun shopping and lunch done too! :)

Lily's school was closed today so Nan kept her and they enjoyed a fun day full of getting their nails painted!

We capped off the afternoon with First Baptist Church of Saks' Easter egg hunt!

They had a TON of fun things for the girls to do! They had a merry-go-round, a 'spin-a-wheel', two bouncy houses, hot dogs galore, and to top it off....a TON of eggs!

The girls had another fun time doing their egg hunts!!

Before we dive in to the picture fun of the Easter egg hunt tonight....let me tell you about my first 'grand daughter' egg baby! Alexis' 1st grade class had to make an egg baby for Easter and carry it around and take care of it all day at school! Alexis worked sooo hard on making her baby!! She was SO proud of it!
There she is! Meet Blaklie! {She named her Blaklie because she told me that it looks like her teacher at Kids First whose name is Blaklie!} :) Alexis LOVES Miss Blaklie and thinks she hung the moon! She loves how Miss Blaklie puts on her lipstick too! :)
She had to have blonde hair! :) :)
Blaklie is all bundled up and ready to go with her Mommy to school for the day! Alexis took really good care of her and she actually made it back home all in one piece!!!
Now....Easter egg fun time!! This was a cute Easter Bunny!!!
Both girls got their faces painted! The one and only famous Misty did the honors of painting a bunny on Lily's face! Lily was sooooo still the whole time she was painting!
Cute bunny!!
Alexis decided she wanted an Easter egg painted on her face!
And...then after bouncing and playing and riding...it was time for Lily's egg hunt! Soooo many eggs and one little girl that was ready to go!!
She was off! Not sure what her strategy was on picking her eggs. She would run past 10 eggs to pick up one. {which was usually the color pink or purple} Then Daddy told her to run and pick them all up and then come and dump her basket and then run and get more and come back and dump and so on.....
Alexis guarded Lily's eggs while Lily ran to get more!
Then when Lily was finished....Daddy counted ALL that she had! She had 91 eggs!!!!
She got a huge pink bunny for her prize!!!
Now Alexis' turn! Sweet and such a cutie pie Christian was ready to on the hunt with her!
She was off! She got 39 eggs on her hunt! :) :)
She was tired after running so much! :) She got a purple beanie baby bear as her prize. We all had a great time on such a beautiful warm day!!
