Their big day!

 It was a great celebration!

I understand now why even though they got married in August...that they had what they did in April.

COVID took that wedding....love...away...and they got to have that this past weekend!

It was the best!

To be surrounded by friends and family...in a beautiful setting...is everyone little girl's dream.

Meg had her dream!

Though our trip was not the best as I had wanted....the weather was not in our favor to have any beach time, etc...

the purpose of the trip was for Meg and Chase

and it was perfection for them!

If anything and everything could have gone wrong Saturday morning...it did.

We made it to the picture time...

by the skin of my teeth.

We got settled...

got pictures...

and though it was too wet outside for the wedding to be where Meg had originally wanted, they moved it indoors and it was gorgeous!

It was a great afternoon/night celebrating them!

We got up and headed straight home Sunday. We wanted to soak up the day and have beach time...but again...it was just not in the plans for the weather. Once we got home...it was sunny and beautiful so we spent the rest of the afternoon outside and soaking up the day with Daddy since we missed him!

Us girls with the flower girls!

The last time...........and first time........to be a flower girl!

Love her! Her last time to be a flower girl! She is super excited to be upgraded to junior bridesmaid....for whatever wedding event comes next! hahaha!

This is my most favorite picture of them! I just love this!

Guess who CAUGHT the bouquet! Yep...........Lily! We were allll in shock! :) ha! She has LOVED having the bouquet at home! She asked..'Is it mine? Can I keep it?' She was SO excited!

Thats a wrap! We had a blast! Lily's face in this picture cracks me up! She was in shock she caught it with all those older and bigger girls trying to! ha!

Rehearsal for the cute couple!

We had a great time celebrating Chase and Meg!

It stared out Friday!

It was a crazy....busy...storming day...just a not so good day....

but by the time it was time for the rehearsal...the clouds left...sun popped out....waters turned calm...and we set sail!

We had the best dinner cruise!

The girls had a blast! It was their first time being on a 'boat for dinner' so they LOVED it!

Though the wedding had to be moved inside....we originally had to practice where it was going to be!

Making our way around Baytowne Warf!
My little crew!

We found our spot!

OH Nannie! Yeah..................I have to say...top 2 Nannie moments happened on the rehearsal dinner cruise! No one should ever give Nannie a microphone..........EVER again....is all I am going to say! :) Oh the laughing memories! :)

The rehearsal dinner was soooooooooooo nice!

Reese LOVES Lily! All babies..........animals........people....love Lily! :)

We came back to the condo and literally CRASHED....and then next, the BIG day!

Going to California!

Sooo....the surprise was not supposed to happen for a little while.........

I had the whole shabang ready to surprise the girls.........

about going to California for their 10th and 13th birthday.............

but.........

I guess if the surprise is going to be taken.............what better way to do it than by....

the person we are going to visit in California!

Let me explain!

So at the rehearsal for Meg's wedding...

we were SO excited to see Blake because he was able to come in for the wedding. Margie was not able to come due to see has just had Hank....

So....we hugged him and were talking to him when he goes....

are yall not SOOOO excited about coming out to visit us??!!!??!!...................

AS he is saying that............

BOTH girls are looking at me with these most confused......shocked....WHAT??!?!...looks on their faces...as I am trying to 'eye' Blake to 'STOP' talking! ha!

He gets the hint....................and says 'WHOOPS!.........I guess....I think...I just ruined a surprise!'

It was hilarious! The whole wedding party was busting out laughing because you should have just seen my reaction...and the girls reactions as Blake is talking! ha!

So, at least it was Blake....

and the girls are sooooooooooooo excited!

Of course I had to answer 5 BILLION...if not more....questions....

all because of Blake! ha! :)

We cant wait to head to Cali..........and to Hollywood in May!

So...this was supposed to be a part of the surprise! I decided to not do what other things I was going to and just give them this......................well...ya know...since they already know now! :)

Two very excited girls! I am excited too!

Our soccer star!............the Flash!

 Just call her the FLASH!

I actually heard several people from the other team say............that number 4 is fast! :)

Made my heart explode!

She played well and had fun! They tied 1-1 this time and it was a fun game to watch!

I am ready for it to not be cold when the sun goes down to finish out the game....so hopefully that is coming! :)

The three amigos! Love these three soccer girls!

Getting ready to play!
Look at her out running those boys!

Exactly a year ago...hello it's me!

 CRAZY to think!

I looked back and it was EXACTLY a year ago that I did the post about me wearing a mask to Wal-Mart for the first time and how I felt while wearing it!

FAST forward to a YEAR later................

a FULL year of wearing a MASK..........

{NEVER would have thought.........a year!!}

and after a year, NOT wearing a mask in Wal-Mart and how it felt!

Sooo....

Friday, April 9th, Governor Kay Ivey declared that masks are no longer mandated. They are strongly suggested for use but are not required any longer to be worn.

We have ALL waited for this day for a LONG time.............a year!

Well....we were all in Florida over the weekend so we wore our masks {for the most part} since we were in another state and were not sure what they rules to follow were and just because we were in an 'unfamiliar' destination, we just wore them while we were around people we didnt know, etc.

So, yesterday was my first opportunity to wear or NOT wear a mask in Alabama!

{REMIND you......I am fully vaccinated and the mask order is done now!!}

I went to Wal-Mart since we got back late Sunday and we had no food at home...I needed items for the week. So after work, I headed to Wal-Mart.

What is STRANGE...............is the fact that I had to debate with myself if I was going to wear a dang mask or not!?!?!!! Is that not just crazy!

So, I decided not to.

It was weird.

I remember when I first wore a mask..............it was weird.

I felt everyone was starring at me....going...why are you wearing a mask {because at that point in time no one had really 'bought' in to the fact to wear one and it was just becoming mandatory so not everyone even had masks yet}......

well now....it was weird because I felt I was getting stares going......why are you NOT wearing a mask!

SO STRANGE!

There were a mix of some wearing masks and some people not. I actually saw a couple of people I knew...and they were not wearing masks either.

I actually felt like I was doing something wrong...by not wearing a mask...and my face felt weird because I didnt have it on also because I am just so use to having it on.

It was the strangest feeling....and just crazy to me that this is what I am living in and debating myself about and having to understand!

My first official Wal-Mart picture of my grocery shopping run with no mask! ha!

Lily's first soccer game of the Spring season!

 Whoop whoop....SOCCER is back!

Lily was SO excited that her first game was tonight! It was a beautiful day...but BOY....it still gets chilly when the sun goes down!

We enjoyed watching her and her team in action and they WON!

So was so happy!

Go GREEN GATORS!

Lining up and getting everyone ready!

Look at those girls up on the front line! LOVE!

She is quick!

Doing her favorite thing!

See those two green jerseys?!?! Those two girls can out hustle alllll those boys in the white jerseys!

Love watching her play!

This is my soccer star! She did NOT want a picture....but....I will take what I can get! :)

Easter Sunday!

Easter Sunday turned into such a beautiful day!

We had our Church Easter service and enjoyed the sermon before heading to have lunch with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi at Classic on Noble!

OH it was good! I have not eaten there in awhile and it was just like I remembered!

A little Easter goodie from us parents! I call it a little happy since both girls have always known that a stuffed rabbit isnt real! :)

Our only Easter Sunday picture! I failed! ha! I didnt get any pictures on this day!

I did snap this quick one! This guy and I enjoyed some rounds of golf yesterday afternoon since it was such a beautiful day!

Saturday fun day........Dirty Bunny!

 We had a great Saturday!

We loaded up and headed to the JSU Family day events where there was a petting zoo and Kona Ice....and an Easter egg hunt!

We had a great time with friends and doing all the events before heading to Aunt Pam's to finally have our first family get-together since COVID hit! It has been over a year since all of us have celebrated a holiday together!

Since we didnt get to have Christmas all together, we decided to play 'Dirty Bunny' instead of how we all play Dirty Santa at Christmas! It was fun to do this and have fun Spring gifts and we all decided this should be a new tradition! So, instead of playing Dirty Santa and having to worry about buying Christmas gifts {with all the other hustle and bustle to do during that time of year} we will now wait and have a fun Spring....Dirty Bunny!

I have to say, there have been so many cancellations and so many changes due to COVID! What I can say...and think...is...that COVID has proven that there really is 'good' among everything...if you look for it! What I mean is, there have been several occurrences, to where I feel like the new changes {brought on because of COVID} has been good changes...such as Dirty Bunny! We never would have known change was needed or 'good' if COVID had not shown us that!

Of COURSE dying Easter eggs is a MUST! We came home from the 5K Color Run and got a shower {a double shower to get allll the color out!} :) and then we did this!

Alexis ACTUALLY said she was tooooo old to help decorate eggs this year! So, she didnt.....though she kept coming into the kitchen acting like she wanted to but...she stood her ground though! :)

Lily's turned out soooo cute!

Then we headed to the Family Fun day! Of course we get excited when we see the C's....and Cocky!

I love this picture!

The petting zoo....and alll the animals...and Lily! :)

My girls loved when they saw WK!

And Lily loved when she saw sweet Gabby!

Then it was time to head to Aunt Pam's and play with this little one! OH she is adorable!

Is this not SO fun! I know that there is not much to this...but it made me happy when I made it! :)

Lily LOVES a good Easter egg hunt! All the kids took turn hiding the eggs for them to turn around and find!

Counting the stash!

This CRACKED me up! So this was one of our gifts that Lana chose! I put a bunch of blue Easter eggs in a bag....EMPTY! Except for one! She literally opened alllll of them EXCEPT the one that had the cash in it! bahaha!...Her face was hilarious! We had a great time!

Lily and La La
A little Easter Bunny girl with the cutest couple!
