A day with Dinosaurs!

I am late posting this but last week Alexis and Lily had a great day spent with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi at the Imagination Place in Gadsden looking at their Dinosaur exhibit!

The Dinosaurs looked real!

The girls always love when we take them there to play! And.....it is good for us because they exert a lot of energy! :) :)

The exhibit was so cool! I love getting pictures of the girls having fun!!
Lily was amazed!
After they saw the Dinosaurs, they played...and Nan was the cashier!
Then Lily decided she wanted to!...
And they played 'grocery store'! They played in the big ball zone, they went down the slides, they love going there and it is really such a neat place to take them! I love how they do different events. This past winter it was neat because we went and they had a snow exhibit! There was 'snow' everywhere!
Nan helping Lily and Alexis on the see-saw! After they all enjoyed lunch at the Courtyard! That place never disappoints either along with doing some fun shopping after too!! :) They all had a great day!

She officially has lost both of her bottom front teeth and her top left front tooth is on its way out soon too!

To say it was perfect for them is an understatement!

It was beautiful and perfect and just so sweet and I cant believe my favorite Blakester is MARRIED!

One happy girl that this tooth is out! She is not a fan of anything bloody, etc..... whew, and I cant believe I am the one pulling them all too!! :)
We got to Nashville just in time to enjoy a great lunch here! It was SUCH a COOL restaurant!
The entire place was decorated like we were in the rainforest! They had animals like lions and elephants that moved. It rained...just like it does in the Rainforest too!
The girls were amazed at everything!
Richard, Pam, Gran, Ben, Nannie and Hogan met us to enjoy lunch before heading around to get ready for the rehearsal!
The 'scary' eyes behind us! :)
The waiters kept coming out with these REALLY cool desserts and yelling 'VOLCANO' everytime! We were all under the impression that it was for people's birthdays....... sooooo.... since it was still in the same birthday month for Alexis.................we told the waiter that it was her birthday so she could get a 'volcano'!!!............
Well, when we got our bill....................we realized that the 'volcano' was $14.99!!!! YEP!.......
She looks soooo grown!!...and just beautiful!!

Here's to 10 and many more!

Wow! It has been 10 years already! Tyler and I have had a great 10 years together! We have grown in our relationship, realized that even in the hardest of times with each other that neither one of us are going anywhere so we just have to work through our differences. We have cried, laughed and just have sooo many memories wrapped up in these 10 years! And yes, the best is yet to come! I love you Tyler and happy anniversary! {I can NOT wait to celebrate in a couple of weeks {yes I know, we have to celebrate a little later due to busy schedules} on our cruise!} whoo hoo!!

Words...5 years...

It is so hard to put into words how I am feeling not only today but this week in general.

I look back on this day 5 years ago and I would have never thought that my day at work on a Thursday would have ended the way it did.

Just the day before, I got an 'out of the blue' call from my Dad asking to come to Birmingham to have dinner with Tyler, Alexis and I when we were off that afternoon.

I had plans that night, but because something was just telling me to....I cancelled those plans and met Mom, Dad and Andrew to eat at Dad's favorite food place...Mexican.

Little did I know that the meal we had together would be our last....little did I know that the hug and 'I love you' would be the last.

Never did I think I would never see him again after that night.

 It is hard to imagine why God would take my Dad so 'early' as he did. It is hard to imagine why God would want to 'ruin' mine and Tyler's 5 year anniversary {that we had a lot of fun things planned to celebrate the next day together}

But....{and I guess it has taken me 5 years to see this} it really is in God's timing. God knew it was my Dad's time to go. It will never be on 'our' time because face it....nobody ever wants someone they love to ever die. It will never be 'our' time.

It was like God knew what he was doing because looking back everything 'fell' into place, I feel like.

For example, God let us have that great last memory with him. I cherish that memory of him and can still to this day picture his face sitting across that table from me! Because it was our anniversary, Alexis was safe and secure with Nan and Pawpaw {and already had her bags packed and with them} so I {and my Mom} knew she was being taken care of during the difficult time we were facing and I didnt have to worry about her.

My Mom had Lana and Pam with her when it all happened because they just so decided to have a 'girls' day and do some shopping. So that helped that they were already there with her.

And, again...now seeing this 5 years later. I dont see God wanting to 'ruin' mine and Tyler's anniversary. I see it now that it was like my Dad saying. 'Dont have a horrible day and cry and be sad over me being gone, focus on your anniversary and be happy and have fun with Tyler and dont be sad over me.'

My Dad never wanted attention drawn to him.

'Trust in His timing, Rely on His promises, Wait for His answers, Believe in His miracles, Rejoice in His goodness, Relax in His presence.' James 4:8.

I will forever have a hard week/day when it comes to my Dad's anniversary. Just as I am typing this post, I am tearing up.

I still can not go to his grave. I dont know why...or what it is, but the times I have tried to go, I just cant. I start to get sick at my stomach and dizzy and I just have to go back to the car. Just a couple of weeks ago I had a complete breakdown {like sobbing crying where I couldnt catch my breath crying} just by watching a stupid TV show called Marriage Boot Camp. Really!?!?! Yes, ask Tyler. Just a part in that crazy show made me think about how hard it was loosing him and I just broke down.

It will always be tough because I miss him everyday.

But, I know that he is smiling down on me and I find strong comfort in knowing that when I look up and smile that he sees it. I feel him sometimes and get goosebumps on really beautiful sunny days because I feel like his hugs are still with me.

It does help that I can focus my attention on celebrating and being with Tyler for our anniversary. Just tomorrow...we will be married 10 years! We have been through ups and downs and have had alot of great memories and times during our 10 years and to focus on knowing that helps take my mind off of being sad about Dad.

So, though it is hard, I know that God's plan and timing is greater than mine and I trust in his plan because I can not see the big 'puzzle' of life. I just have to have faith in Him and know that everything happens for a reason and what doesnt kill us makes us stronger.

I love and miss you Dad and to think it has been 5 years. Where has the time gone!.....

Take me out to the ballgame!

Per Lily, "Today was the greatest day ever!"

We loaded up after work yesterday afternoon and took the girls to their very first Braves baseball game!

They had a BLAST!

The had NO clue what was happening during the game....but they sure did clap their hardest and yell their loudest when everyone else did and they sure did cheer the Braves on! :) :)

It was hilarious watching them as we watched the game!

Alexis wanted SOOOOO bad to be shown on the Jumbotron!...she did some of the funniest dance moves and motions to try and get on camera!!!

Lily was more concerned about when they were going to do the 'Chop' again!! She LOVED it!

The game didnt start until 7:30 Georgia time so it ended late...but that didnt prove any problems for the girls! They were troopers the whole game! Neither one of them ever asked when it was going to be over or whine!! They were too busy having fun!

It really was a great family time!

Their 1st game!!
Alexis was amazed at how big the stadium is!
Lily was talking in between her smile telling me she was smiling! :)
Me and my girls!!
The girls doing the Tomahawk chop!!
They also loved singing 'Take me out to the ballgame' during the 7th inning stretch. I have the cutest video of them with Tyler swaying back and forth, singing and doing the arm motion too!!
Asking a ton of questions and enjoying the game! Lily thought we were at a basketball game! oh me! haha!!
This picture CRACKS me up!!! This was them pretty much the entire game!! Trying their hardest to be shown on the Jumbotron!!! They were doing some of the funniest dance moves and faces, etc!!! I was laughing so hard watching them!
Braves WON!! Beat the Cubs! It was a great game!! {FYI, there were a TON of Cub fans! I have never been to a game before where there were that many 'away' team fans! They had a huge turnout for it being in Atlanta!}
BRAVES WIN!!!
