DD barbeque!

 After graduation, Lex and I got home and changed then headed down to Oxford for her DD barbeque. 

Tomorrow is the Tea.

It is recruitment time so Alexis has to meet all the members, do interviews, and tell why she wants to be a member. 

Then, not sure when............

if she is selected to be in it, they will come and 'kidnap' her and then they will do the induction ceremony and then she will be a DD rat this upcoming school year before she becomes an actual DD member.

She was nervous today....as they all were...but she said she enjoyed meeting all the girls and getting to know them more. She said some of the questions they asked her was 'hard' but that she felt she did good!

 Today was a wonderful day!

Today I graduated with my Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in Administrative Management!

Whooooooo hoooo!

To say this journey has been a journey, well....that is an understatement but OH so worth it now that it is over! :) ha!

I am one proud Gamecock and today made it even stronger!

Now...dont you forget............I will always be a tiger..................

but.......

a gamecock is right up there now too!

 It is that time!

6 months has come again so it is time to measure how much they have grown in the basement!

Alexis....well...she has stayed the same again. 6 months ago she had stayed the same and then this time, well, same too. So it looks like she is probably pretty close to how tall she is going to be! We shall see but she is as tall as me and I have done pretty well my whole life so I think she'll be just fine! :)

He measured her the 1st time and she saw that it was the same so she said 'Hold on, I need to try that again!' haha! So she tried it again...and well, the same results. She was fine with it and is glad that she is right there with me! :)

6 months ago...she grew 2 inches! This time an inch and a half! The legs just wont stop growing! :) She is right at 5 feet already! She is growing like a weed!

This was our Senior Show performance that we and like four others sang and danced to "Manic Monday!"

Yeah...I didnt know the words...

we practiced only like 2 times and then I got myself up on stage in front of a FULL auditorium of people to perform!

Alexis and her academics!

 Alexis had her Academic Awards tonight!

Being awarded with this honor means alot and we are so proud of her! This year has been a learning curve on how to apply herself and how to properly study.....

and how to get of Instagram and put her nose in her book....

ya know....

responsibility has been a lesson this year so to see her get this award means some of what her Daddy and I are telling her is sinking in! :)

A graduation surprise!

 I just love my co-workers!

I mean...I with them....essentially more than I am my own family!

They surprised me yesterday and it was just so special and I am thankful for them and that they took time out of their day to celebrate me!

 They had it decorated so nice! The JSU picture frame is mine to put my graduation picture in but to be funny...they put that picture in it! Always messing with me! :)

Tyler even stopped by! I was totally surprised! I had NO idea they were doing this for me!

LOVE all of them!...and so very thankful!

They got me the most beautiful letter opener! I mean SO thoughtful! I open mail SO much with my job so for them to give a gift like this means a lot! It is so beautiful that I dont want to use it!

Our weekend and my birthday!

 We had a low-key weekend that just happened to be my birthday and perfection!

Friday night we had dinner with Leah and Phillip and another Leigha and Staci, Tim and Jason Stone and the Emily and Chris. It was a big group of us and it was a good time to eat and catch up!

Saturday we had dinner with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi and it was delicious and hit the spot! 

My birthday, day, was just relaxing at home and doing laundry! It was just fine by me because it was good to not have to be rushing around and I got caught up on things I needed to do!

Sunday we had Church and then for dinner the Messers, Rays and Leigha threw me a graduation dinner!

It was fun and loved how all the kiddos helped with the surprise!

Lily looked so cute for Church so we snapped a picture!

They made me take a picture with my 'graduation' hat on! (It came on the cake they brought!) ha!

 Alexis finished her work as a Diamond Doll and it was a nice end of the season reception for them!

She has enjoyed being Nick's Diamond Doll and helping and cheering the team on during the season!

Tyler's BIG day!

 Yesterday marked Tyler's BIG day!

BIG 41!

There is something about going over the 40 mark, to me, that is just different! I guess I will see how it feels come Saturday! :)

We met Gran, Ben, and Andrew to celebrate both mine and Tyler's birthday at Cooter Browns on Tuesday! YUM! I love there! We enjoyed dinner and celebrating!

Then last evening we met Nan, Pawpaw, and Brandi at Cane Creek Grill for dinner to celebrate more!

Always love eating there too!

 This is exactly what we did on Fridays...

Andrew and I would race to find the movie we got to pick out! It was a highlight and a fun memory!

SO much so...that Andrew still claims to this day that I pushed him down the stairs trying to get my movie in first to watch...........and he broke his leg!

That is NOT true........he jumped from the top of the stairs to try and beat me and fell!.........and broke his leg! :)

My last Master's submission EVER!

 Today marks the LAST day I will ever have to submit assignments for the Master's program!

I completed my last 12 page final paper and submitted it so I am officially DONE!

I received my email confirmation last night that I passed all my TEN final comp papers so to say I am relieved...is an understatement!

Aubie's birthday today! He's 9!

Last night we had the Maskers dinner and it was such a great time! The performances and the decor were perfection!

Tyler and I even matched the outside decor! ha!

The Messer girls ended up spending the night and all are currently playing outside on this beautiful Saturday! The weekend may be flying by but it is turning into a good one!

Dinner will be on the grill tonight too! Cant wait!
