We have had a busy couple of weeks! We have gone from one fun vacation to the next...and loving every minute of it! I just wish time would slow down some!! Some other major events that have been happening too are..... Happy birthday to Gran! Happy Father's Day to Daddy! {Us girls are so thankful and love you!!} and happy happy birthday to Meg and Mal!! {See, there has been alot going on!} On top of we just got home from being in Panama City Beach for a week! WHOO HOOO!! It was sooo nice and none of us were ready to leave! {Pictures coming soon!!} :)

Highlight of the day! Having dinner with Gran, Aunt Pam, Richard, Nannie and Hogan {with my crew} and opening our birthday gifts from LaLa! Alexis was THRILLED with her new necklace! Leaving me confused as to if it was age appropriate for a 5 year old! Then to find out the necklace was for me! :) {Alexis got a cute bathing suit, but quickly let me know that even though the necklace was mine, that she was going to wear it to Church because it was hers at first!!} :)

Highlight of my day!!...highlights! Getting my hair done and cruising on a beautiful day!

Packing for the BEACH!! I hate packing but it made me smile seeing all the bows that were being packed to take! :) I love some cute bows on my cute girls! :)

Ahhh......my view once we made it to the beach! Our first day!!....and this was my view the rest of the afternoon! Nothing better than this!!

It is hard to be a girl.

All the ups and downs that a girl goes through in her life as she faces each stage can be really hard!

Just me watching 'So You Think You Can Dance' the other night about broke my heart!

A beautiful 18 year old girl who is a beautiful dancer told her story of how she has battled with herself for years. She thought she wasnt pretty enough as a dancer, therefore led to her having an eating disorder...

Hearing her tell her struggle and then watching how she overcame it and how absolutely beautiful she danced just amazed me! She found herself again through dancing and it just brought tears to my eyes!

Each phase of life for a girl is hard. It is! We have to deal with all the insecurities of not being pretty enough, not being thin enough. Not having the perfect kind of hair. So on and so on....

I just hope that as my girls grow, that they realize that they are beautiful and that they have so many things in life that will make them happy and to just focus on that.

I love seeing the world through my girls eyes! I love seeing how they are learning how the world works everyday!

A perfect example, the other day Alexis was singing a song and the lyrics were 'I have learned to bite my tongue.'       Alexis says "Mommy, why does she want to bite her tongue? That will hurt!" Right now, in the phase of life they are in...they take everything so literal!

Lily learning to dress and undress herself. She will struggle and struggle with trying to get her shirt over her head! Once she finally gets it off...or on, she has the biggest, most proud smile on her face! I just love to sit there and watch her working hard and accomplishing the small goals she has in life right now!

As each year goes by....and as both girls grow, I hope they always know that I am their biggest cheerleader and love them more than anything in the world!

 Highlight of my day this morning.....getting the girls to school. :) Little Miss Grumpy girl Lily was in a mood so.....sometimes it is just good to get to work....  :)

Seeing this smiling cutie enjoy a yummy meal of Spaghetti! She loves Spaghetti!...and then of course topping it off with a yummy cupcake! :)

Day 156
Alexis had VBS at Jacksonville United Methodist Church all week! She loved going! The theme was 'Weird Animals!' They did such a cute job with decorating the Church! It was really unbelievable how much they did and it all was SO cute! {Lily wanted in the picture too even though she didnt go because it ended so late. She will get to go next year!} :)

Day 157
Friday night!! She was SO tired from having VBS all week that she skipped Friday's. As soon as she got home, she PASSED out! She slept from 5:00pm until 6:45am without waking up! She was one tired tired tired little girl! {She looked soooo peaceful as she slept!} so sweet! :) {Not sure what she was doing with her socks! haha!! It looked like she wanted to take them off but was so tired that she only made it half way!} :)

Home sweet Auburn!

OOhhhh...we had a GREAT weekend! We headed down to one of our MOST favorite places EVER, Auburn!!

Grand National {My old 'stomping' ground where I worked in College as a Beverage Cart girl!} has such a nice hotel with the BEST pool I have ever been to!

We loaded up with the Grogan's and headed down yesterday and got back home this afternoon. For it to be such a short trip, we had such a great time hanging out with them and doing nothing by having fun by the pool! We enjoyed dinner Saturday night with some close friends of the Grogans in downtown Opelika and then of course, I can not go to Auburn without eating at Amsterdam Cafe! We enjoyed there before we headed home! It was a great trip!

Summer DOs....

Well...it is Summer time, so nothing cuter than a cute 'Summer time Bob!' I am trying to convince myself of this because I for sure chopped off Alexis' hair!!

OH MY!!

I SOOOO did not mean to cut it as short as I did! I always.....ALWAYS....have a problem with getting one side looking 'just right' and then the other side not working correctly with me concerning the length of the girl's hair! From now on, I do just need to suck it up and take the girls to a hair salon! :)

I had to keep cutting and then cut some more to get it even. Next thing I know, literally...I look and realize that it is short!!

Alexis loves it though. No tears, thank the Lord! She did make the comment that now she can not 'twist my hair and put it over my shoulder, Mommy!'......................but it is hair, and it does grow back! {I just hope quickly!}

And...now the cute 'Summer time Bobs!' Eeeekkk...Lily's hair is not near as short as Alexis'. Ooohh, it is just hair and it will grow!

FRIDAY!!!

A 'Minnie'...oh, I mean mini photo shoot!

This morning my girls had a 'Minnie', I mean mini photo shoot!!  A sweet lady {Ms. Davis} at our Church monograms cute...cute...CUTE things and she wanted my girls to be models for her! :)

She gave Alexis and Lily these cute shirts as a gift for modeling! She plans  on giving them different things later on to keep modeling because cute models help boost her sales! :)

OOhhhh this makes me want to be back at Disney!!

I LOVE Lily's new Summer bob! {I cut it myself!!} Pretty proud of myself!! Now....when I post a picture later of Alexis' new haircut I gave her, hmmm.....not so happy with myself! I cut her hair a good bit shorter than I wanted to! But...................hey it is just hair, and hair does grow back! {I just hope it grows back quickly!!} :(

Highlight....parking lot party!! Nannie decided to go ahead and give Alexis and Lily their birthday present so they can enjoy it all Summer! She got them both a stuffed animal and then a Minnie and Mickey Mouse table and chair set! They LOVED it!
Happy birthday to Richard! It was Richard's birthday so he picked Rocket! YUM!

Happy birthday to Walker! Alexis LOVED his party! It was at the Factory in Gadsden! They jumped and jumped and jumped during his party! So fun!!

Getting to meet my girls!! We had cheer uniform fitting and meet and greet! I will have 10 little cheerleaders in the Fall for youth football! Cant wait!

Just a poolin' it....

First off....HAPPY birthday to Aunt Pam!! We hope you have had a great day!!! :)

We have had a great weekend especially after thinking that we were going to be cooped up all weekend with rain!! It was set to rain all weekend, but luckily we didnt get a drop! {except for in the late afternoons when it didnt matter!}

We hit the pool both Saturday and Sunday! Ahh....soo nice! My happy place!

After Church today, we loaded up and headed again! Nan and Pawpaw decided to come up and watch the girls swim for a little while today while we were there!!
