The last day of Summer vacation and READY to conquer Kindergarten and 4th!

So today marked a BIG day!

Today was the last day of Summer vacation!

It is officially time to get back in the groove...

and the groove starts bright and early tomorrow!

Both girls are SUPER ready and beyond excited especially because tonight was meet the teacher and to really see who all is in their class!

They are so excited at all the friends!

It is going to be a great year for both of them! I am excited!

To mark the 'last day of Summer vacation' the girls came to my work with me for a little bit! They love coming and seeing my co-workers...and coloring..and watching movies..and just pretending to 'help' me work! We had a great lunch together to end the last day with a bang!

Lily found her own little 'fort' under my table! She stayed under there for a couple of hours eating candy and coloring...and doing math! {I gave her a math sheet with addition problems on it! She has become sooo good at adding! I am SO proud of her!} In this picture she was trying to scare Tricia. {Because she thinks no one can see her under there! :) :)

Alexis spent half the time drawing on my board! She made the cutest board for me! She finished it up with a 'sick person's face' filled in the 'nurses mask' put another bandaid and signed it! On the top she wrote 'DO NOT TOUCH' on it so no one will erase it! :)

And then this happened! An even closer step to Kindergarten! Lily was soooo excited to meet Mrs. Bean tonight! We had to go to Alexis' first and the entire time....she kept asking and kept asking when it was time to leave to go to hers! :)

I hope these two have the best year yet! I pray everyday that they do and that their teachers love them as much as their Daddy and I do! Here's to conquering that school behind them! Here we go 4th grade and Kindergarten! :)

Is it August?!

So, I went into Bath and Body Works the other day...

and I have to say, I loved seeing all the Fall smells already out!

Now, I went into Dollar Tree...and saw all the Halloween candy out...

and I was shocked!

Like I have always said..I love Fall, but this Summer really has FLOWN by!

The Law Family reunion is always the beginning of August. It always marks to me 'the beginning of school to roll' and that happened yesterday!

As always...there was a TON of food! We had a great time catching up with family that we dont see much. Sweet baby Olivia was there and it was so sweet to get to see her for the 1st time!

 How cool! Alexis meet Alexis! You just thought there was only 1 Alexis Law in the world!?!? Wrong! There are two! My Alexis thought this was the coolest thing that she had the same name as her! {She thought it was pretty cool too so she asked to take a picture with my Alexis!} :) Alexis said that she hopes she is as pretty as her when she is older! :)

So, after the Law reunion...we didnt stop there! Alexis and I headed on to cheer practice. Then after cheer we headed to pick up Caroline! These two had one last 'hurrah' before school starts Wednesday since I was off today! They LOVE their Ipads...and videos and Snapchats! We literally didnt hear a word out of them the whole Sunday night...and all today because they were in Alexis' room watching their videos they made!
Here and there I would hear Lily trying to go in and 'pester' them..... so I would have to round her up and entertain her so the 'too cool for school girls' could be 'left alone!' :) :)

Caroline stayed over until lunch before I dropped her back home. She chose Cook-out {since she was our guest, she got to pick} so we enjoyed a yummy lunch before the dreaded having to go back home moment!  So, there is one day left until back to the grind of school! MAN, I cant believe it is already that time!!
Tomorrow is MEET the teacher!! Both girls are super...SUPER...excited! Stay tuned! :)

Lexi's cuisine!

What we have been up to the past couple of days!?

Well, still cramming in as much summertime things as we can since the days are ending soon!

Alexis spent the night at Chloe's house on Thursday night and stayed all day over there playing since I had to work. Imani,and Addie spent the night also so they all had a BLAST! Danielle {Chloe's Mom} brought them all down to the pool party at Addie's Mom's house {Beth} on Friday.

So, needless to say...Alexis slept really late this morning because she has had A LOT of activity!

This sweet little girl and I had our very own 'favorite' 'ever' breakfast Friday morning before Summer Camp and work since sister was away! She chose Burger King {of course} and was just SO happy!
Her and her Daddy continued the 'fun day for Lily' that afternoon by having a date! They went to eat at Effinas {per her request} and then rented a movie {per her request} {Boss Baby} since Alexis and I went to the cheer swim party! She said it was the 'best day ever!'.... so I think she was fine to have her Daddy and I all to herself that day!

 This morning BRIGHT and early....Tyler and I were doing this 'so much FUN' stuff! All before 8:30am we were out having 'fun!' :)

 Once we got a shower, to get all the sweat off :) :) we headed to Carmen's birthday party! They all had a blast!

 Black out...glow in the dark...dance party! Alexis was little Miss Sassy dancing and dancing! :)....and of course...singing! :) :)

 Lily and Kyleigh have become such fast little friends!

 Once we got home...Alexis came to me with a full menu planned and saying that she wanted to cook dinner to give me a rest! So, we headed to get my car cleaned {they love to go through the car wash with me} and to Winn Dixie to pick up everything she needed to cook!

 LOOK! She chose this and did it all! I am one blessed and grateful for both my sweet girls! So proud! She loves watching The Pioneer Woman {cooking show} so she looked up a recipe from her...and this is what she decided on!

 She read the instructions...and measured everything out! She worked really hard!

 She made double chocolate chip brownies! SO GOOD! She helped me with guacamole! I made that....just because I had to go to the store so I picked up everything to make it. I dont know what is wrong with me but I have been on a 'kick' with making it! All of us {including Lily} devour it! I really think I have made it every other weekend! ha!

Her favorite part was making the hamburger patties.....and cracking the eggs for the brownies! :)

Thumbs up! So delish! She said that if she ever has a cooking show {because she LOVES watching the Food Network} that she would name her show 'Lexi's cuisine! : ) :) I think that would be a great name!

OH so delish! We have had the best day! We are now having 'family movie night' by watching Boss Baby all together since it was already rented! Perfection!!

The girls had a blast last night!

All but 2 girls were able to come so us coaches had a packed full pool with nothing but fun, laughter and the greatest time with them!

This season has been so awesome thus far..........and I am so thankful! :)

Love this crew of girls like they are my own! I LOVE how they are always...'Coach Amber, look at this! Mrs. Amber, watch me! Mrs. Amber will you hold this for me' and so on and so on! :)

Having a blast in the pool! They built extensions! They had a swim contest. They had a 'jumping in the pool' contest! They splashed..and floated...and jumped off the diving board. They wore themselves out!

Working it until school starts!

Us girls have spent the day gearing up for school and knocking out a 'little of this'...and 'a little of that' today!

I am going to miss having to work only 4 days a week once JSU students are back in session!

I have sooo enjoyed it this summer!

So, yes, it is official, this week is done...really, it is. Tomorrow is Friday, we have this one last weekend coming up...and that's it. School starts back. Back to the groove!

The girls are super excited about school starting...

Alexis said she could do without math being involved with school...but excited about everything else!

So, we are ready for it but still sad to see summer go!

We are still trying to make the days of Summer count! The grill smell helps to make that possible! YUM!

Today was my off day so us girls enjoyed running around town and Oxford getting last minute things for school and back to school clothes! We got some deals! :) They chose Zaxby's for lunch!

We got home..just in time to do some cleaning! I 'rejuvenated' our hardwoods while they....folded towels... :)
Notice the 'tent'/'fort' is back. They both requested it again {since it was sooo cool to do when Lily had friends over} to sleep under. They slept in the play-room last night under it and wanted to keep it up today to watch a movie under it! :)

Lily helped with other chores and one included windexing the mirrors!

When they were all done with their duties....I went in to check on them...and I swear...Lily and Aubie are giving me the SAME look! Bahaha! The look of.............why are you bothering us, we are tired and resting! :) :) :)

The girls picked out some 'fun' soap at Bath and Body Works for their teachers. They cant wait to give it to them on the 1st day of school! I made these cute little cards that say 'Here's to a 'scent' sational school year!' Lily also made Mrs. Bean a note {that has her face on it!} :) :) and put it in the envelope pictured with a 'bean' on it................for Mrs. Bean {she said!} :)
Alexis is headed this afternoon to have a spend the night party with Chloe, Imani and Adalee while the rest of the Law crew just has a lazy movie night at home! :) :)
