Beachin it, days 3 and 5!

Round 2 version of our beach days! In this post, are days 3....and 5. I know, I skipped 4 because I realized, I didnt take as many pictures {which was glorious as I didnt look at my phone much at all} on days 3 and 5! :)

Day 3! Family group picture time! Trust me when I say....it was allll I could do to get them all to stand still for ONE picture! :)

Beach bums!

I love the boat in the background!...and of course, the ocean...and the cute girls in the picture!

Lily....always finds friends! Meet Grady! They surfed and surfed! They played all week too!

Hitting the waves! We got cleaned up and I didnt snap anymore pictures the rest of the night but that didnt stop us from soaking up the day to the fullest!

So, now skip on over to day 5! It was a stormy morning so we loaded up and enjoyed the day in Destin. We hit all the outlets and HAD to eat at McGuires before heading back to PCB for the remainder of the after since it turned into a beautiful day!
These two were SUPER excited...and I mean REALLY excited to wear their shirts they made at the REC Center, Mad Scientist, summer camp that they went to the week before! They are so proud of what they made and how they turned out!

We came back the condo and swam and played until dark!

Lily LOVED playing everyone in giant Jenga and giant Connect 4 all week!

A sunset, afternoon, walk!

Guess which toes are whose?!?!? Can you believe it??!!?!?....Lex's foot is as big as mine! Lily's foot is almost as big as Lex's! WHAT!?!?

We drew in the sand.....and walked...and talked...and found shells...and splashed in the waves...and just had the best 'girl' time walk together!

Then..Lily wanted to catch crabs so Daddy went with us! Alexis just wanted to swim and not go so we hit the beach! We didnt see any though.

This girl so enjoyed the beach this year!

year for the day that we can take off to the beach!

Saturday marked that day! We got up bright and early and made it to PCB in time to have a yummy lunch at Red Robin before heading straight to our condo!

By the time we got checked in...headed to Wal-Mart, we came back and just soaked up the afternoon and night beach and poolside!

It was fabulous!

It was basically....... beach   eat   pool   beach  eat  sleep  repeat. The entire week! :)

Her VERY first moment to meet the sand...sun...and waves! Ahh.....nice! Pure happiness on that face!

She immediately started collecting shells! She was on a mission the entire week to collect a TON of shells! And..that she did! She even got some shells for one of the counselors at the Community Center! :)

Zero stress level here! Such a relaxing afternoon!

And.....as the sunset.....she 'scuba dived' to find shells and little fish!...and crabs! :)

Day 2! Up super early and READY to GO! My little beach bum!

The ocean was sooooo calm. It was so awesome! They floated and floated!

AND...then...THIS! I havent gotten to meet the boys yet and they were leaving so they stopped by! Made.my.day.
OHHHHH!!! LOVE!

Then we capped off the day with the pool....and new friends! Meet Peyton in there! :) She is from Utah! {Yeah..WOW!} She is 3 months younger than Lily and they had the best week playing with each other!

The peacock float was a huge hit of the week too!

Lovin the night life! We love walking around...and people watching at Pier Park!

Time for the movie! Secret Life of Pets 2! So good! We headed back to the condo and crashed after this! We had a great 2nd day!

I got some more sweet pictures of the girls from the VBS they went to this week!

Mr. Carlton, the preacher of Grace, took them every night and they had soooo much fun riding with each other!

Last night, he even treated them to Sonic after since it was the last night!

Also....

you would think our week would have been nice and laid back especially since we didnt have the girls......

well, think again!

It was the busiest week! Tyler and I didnt slow down! Between our dryer going out...having several trees cut down in the back...packing for the beach...me getting a nail in my tire...and the list goes on, it was crazy! :)

This crew was together the whole week! I can only imagine the conversations that Carlton and Aimee heard! :)

Speaking of loads.....LOADS of tree stumps and limbs filled our backyard! Exciting things are happening back there! Will share with pictures soon! :)

And...speaking of loads.....LOADS of fun that this is how my dryer looks! Handyman Tyler to the rescue though and once a lot of parts are in, Im sure it will be just like new! {fingers crossed!} :)

Sooo.....I have spent several of nights.....HERE! Loads of fun right....doing LOADS of laundry! Boo! :) But, at least, the place is really nice and right down the street.....and drys the clothes SUPER fast!
I know one thing...Im ready to have my toes in the sand after this week though!!

Let the experiments begin!

So this week the girls have been going to the JSU REC Center for 'science' camp!

They have had a blast!

They have loved coming to my office each morning and acting like they are all big and grown up! Lily has loved making copies for me or helping me print out something. Alexis has enjoyed trying to type on my keypad as well as draw with all of my pens and markers.

They have loved swimming everyday. They have loved doing the rock wall...walking to the 'caf' {like the college kids} they have loved all the experiments too!

On top of 'camp' all day, they have been going to Grace's VBS.

So, needless to say, we all have been zapped this week as far as energy goes....but they girls have loved every minute of it all.

Now that the week is getting towards the end, we are also counting to clock to the BEACH too!

Whoooo hooo!

Each morning, these two have been 'hanging' out with me!

Lily has made me some notes and hung them on my filing cabinet for me to enjoy!

And...I got this picture the other day of them doing one of their exciting experiments! They are really looking forward to today with their tie-dyed t-shirt making as well as tomorrow when they make a huge volcano! They cant wait! :)

A little weekend recap and round 2!

We were pretty low key this weekend due to the rain! It rained pretty much all weekend, which was nice {with the slow pace} and much needed since it hasnt rained in a good while!

We hit dinner in Oxford followed by some shopping and yogurt to celebrate the beginning of the weekend on Friday. Then Saturday, we did pretty much nothing since it literally rained all day! Sunday, we had Church, lunch with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi before the girls having round 2 of VBS.

They are going with their friends to Grace's VBS this week so they have been gearing up for VBS round 2!

This the best I could get of them!...especially Lily! She was focused completely on her treat!

These shoes were bigger than her body! ha! Size 18! WOW! :)

And today, about to walk to the Weather's to head to VBS! Off they go! :)

It was such a great week and the kids had so much fun!

I enjoyed being the neighborhood bus/taxi driver too! Hearing all the girls...and {boy Jackson :) } laugh and chat on the way to and from Church was fun!

Helping with the 'Pre-teens'....that took some getting use to but they were great and I enjoyed them!

We had a huge number of kids! We had 9 get baptized tonight! SO awesome!

I was off today and it turned into a Mommy and Lily day!

Willa Kate invited Alexis to spend the night and spend the day with her after VBS last night....

so, Lily and I ended up just being us!

We had a great day!

We went and saw Aladdin and it was soooooo great! That was one of my most favorite movies when I was younger so the new {and non cartoon} version was wonderful! I sang the entire time and though they 'modernized' the movie a little bit, overall it held to the original movie! AND I LOVED it!

We had lunch and shopped and then now we are home and gearing up for another night of VBS!

We had a great day of it being just her and I! And...we loved the movie!

VBS is in full swing!

So we have had night 1 and night 2 so far with VBS and the girls are having a blast with their friends and learning more about God!

I have enjoyed leading the 'Pre-teen' class this year also. I have yet to wrap my head around the fact that Alexis and all of her friends are actually in the pre-teen group! It is just craziness to me!

We still have 3 nights left of fun so whew, I can make it! I can do it! OH, me! :)
