3 Things!

I love doing 3 things posts...I just dont know why it takes me so long in between doing them!

So, let's get started!

Lily!
1. THIS girl! She is a lego loving, Aubie Momming, hover board riding, craft 'project' making, can't keep her room uncluttered and organized, scrunchie loving girl that is just growing up SO fast! Notice allllllll the scrunchies on her wrists!  She is a VSCO girl for SURE and proud of it! Now....I do not fully understand what a 'VSCO' girl is but it involves: scrunchies, saving turtles, saying things like....'and I oop' and 'sksksk!'.....having a 'hydroflask' {a fancy water bottle} among other silly descriptions! She has jumped in on the VSCO girl trend and bringing the 80's scrunchies back in action!

2. She has lost both her front teeth! It is the CUTEST thing ever and though you cant see the big gap in this picture...it shines BRIGHT with her infectious smile and laugh! She keeps us laughing with her funny jokes and her silly sayings! For example....'Why are the stadiums soooo cold?!?!?'.....'because of the fans!' :) :) That one is her favorite right now since its football season! ha!

3. She is an outdoor loving girl! She is constantly outside doing some sort of something since we have been having some great weather especially!

Alexis!

1. THIS girl! She is more into fashion than I ever knew someone could! The original 'VSCO' girl in the house!...this one! She can put on make-up {both on herself and everyone else} better than a professional make-up artist in my opinion! She is constantly learning and watching videos on 'new looks!'

2. She is in NO shape or form a 'kid' anymore! What I mean by that.....no a drop of wanting anything to do with cartoons....anything to do with 'toys'....nothing to do with anything that is 'baby.' She didnt even want to watch the new Frozen 2 movie that is now out! Heart broken but so love how she is growing into a beautiful young lady!

3. She could stay on her IPAD and text and Facetime her friends every minute of every day if I let her! She will even sneak and get her IPAD at night when she is supposed to be asleep and then keep it and in the mornings when we think she is still asleep...nope we go in there and she is talking to someone! OH the phase of thinking her friends know it all and I know nothing is in full force! OH the joy! :)

Some turkey!

MARK it!

Officially on Thanksgiving BREAK! Whoop WHHOOPP!

We had a couple of different kinds of turkey this week!

My work family during Thanksgiving lunch! BOY the Caf was packed and we felt like sardines...but it was OH so good! And...dont mind me...I had 3 plates of goodness! :)
Then...two little turkeys came to my house! So cute!
This crew had SO much fun at the JSU Fall Festival with alllll the rides and games! The Festival was a hit!
Then tonight.....Chris threw Emily a surprise birthday party that we attended! The girls went to the movies and shopping with Gran so while they were having fun...we were celebrating Emily and enjoying Moes! YUM! That sure is alot of 'glow' in this picture! :) :)
And...just a pretty Fall day..the other day....so I snapped some cute Fall pictures of this toothless cutie!
So adorable!
NO teeth! :)

BIG hair....and ALL the eye shadow...1st school dance to the 80's!

The girls were super excited about their 1st dance! I had a cute little 'getting ready' set up for 5 of them to get together and have fun before they headed off!

There were alot of laughs...fun memories made!

I have to say...it took A LOT of energy...on us Mom's part.... to get the girls to comprehend and embrace the 80's style!

OH my goodness.....they just could not understand exactly how big the hair had to be...how much color they needed to wear....and how much eye shadow needed to be applied! :) :)

Alexis made the comment....'WHY would ANYone want to wear and look like this everyday!?!?!'
bahaha!....in the 80's...they didnt think it was a problem...that is the way it was during those times...they embraced it! ha! :)

They all were together after school...heading straight to my house! They had the best time together!
They enjoyed snacks while they got ready! 'Cheers to a fun dance with best friends'....they said! :)
 Access the scene! :)
 Here she is...the 80's Queen! :)
Love how it all turned out for them!
Straight out of the 80's!! Perfection! ha!
A friend posted to me that Alexis looks just like Michelle Pfeiffer in Grease 2! I totally agree! Nailed it!
Caroline and Lex! Love them!
They were over taking pictures and were ready to GO!
Sweet girls....with 'dramatic' as their middle name! ALL of them! ha! Us Mom's....WHEW...were tired! :)
More friends at the dance!
Some of the guys decided to join in for a picture! Alexis said there was a big turn-out so that was good to hear!
BIG 6th graders!
Lily and Callie had fun with Tyler at the JSU Fall Festival so I will post on that next! I hated that to big and fun events fell on the same night! BOO! :)

Our weekend!

Oh the weather was perfection alllll weekend! It was beautiful! It was the perfect  Fall air! No rain...all sunshine!

We needed it!

We had a low-key weekend! And...when I say low-key...that means we are at home, mostly, which means we have a house full of girls...pretty much the whole weekend!

And..that is just what happened!

Friday night we had an impromptu dinner date with the Sorianos, Fritts, Christophers and Adams at Baja to kick off the weekend! For all of us to decide to go to dinner literally 30 minutes before we met takes skill! ha!

After dinner, we ended up with two extra girls with us for a spend the night party!

So before I go into our weekend....let me explain!
So, Nursing is with exercise science, etc now that we are a 'School of Health Professions and Wellness.' So, we {Im referring to us in this picture...'Nursing' crew} have gotten to know all the faculty, etc, that is in that department now that we are all 'one.'
So, our awesome 'new' friend, Amy, is an awesome Pound instructor and has been trying for months to get this crew {pictured} to do her Pound class since all of us {pictured} have been working out at the REC center. Amy keeps saying...if yall can go to the REC center...then yall better be doing my Pound class!
Well, we have been putting her off {bahaha...long story but none of us wanted to do Pound!} until Friday! :)
We were read to get our Pound on!
We survived! So, let me tell you! Amy {in the front} did a private lesson for us! Well...Tricia {the girl in the pink tshirt} is never into working out...and she is crazy :) :)..............so needless to say...there is never a dull moment with this group...and I laughed SOOOO hard the entire time! Tricia decided to throw in some of her dance moves instead of following along with Amy {because of course we love some 'fun'...'pump it up' music} and it was just hilarious!
Such a fun time and I love these ladies!
So....this little one spent the night with us....until....

So, around 9:30 Lily comes to me and says...'Momma, I am so tired, Im going to bed!' She didnt care ONE bit that she had a friend over....or if she was tired or anything. She put herself to bed..didnt even care that Caroline was in there with her. She was out!
So, Caroline {as I tried to have her lay down to go to sleep} started wanting to go home. So, I ended up driving her home. {To which Lily did not care one bit!} :)
And..these two....'hung' out with each other...and claimed they went to bed at midnight! :)

Then Saturday was another beautiful day! Sydney stayed all day with us as her family came over to watch the AU vs GA game with us after I got home from a Nursing co-worker's funeral. Annette Daughtery will be so missed!
The Messer's {minus Emily since she is sick} joined the football game also. We all rooted on Auburn to which they should have won the game but fell short! BOO!
Today was filled with another beautifully weathered day of Church and gearing up for the week!

An awesome date night....and Riley!

Tyler and I had a great night, last night, supporting Riley Green!

It was cold and raining...but that did not stop us!

Tyler and I headed to the baseball stadium to enjoy dinner, friends and hearing Riley play!

We had the best night...and much needed date night!

Tyler and I had all access VIP passes so to say the VIP get treated well, that is an understatement! We took advantage! :)
Riley played several of his most popular songs for the VIP so it was great to hear my favorite songs before the concert started and before he had to leave to do the meet and greet, etc!
So, I didnt want to stand in the long line to do the meet and greet....so I just chalked it up that I wasnt going to get to say hello to him. I have met him before, briefly, but not in a 'concert' setting.

Well, I come out of the bathroom before we headed to our seats and Tyler goes, 'Amber, Riley just passed me and you missed it!' I totally didnt believe him because I thought he was joking because he knew that I had wanted to meet him earlier. Well about that time, Riley pops around the corner and I am shocked! ha! I got to grab a picture with him and say hello.....and ask him how cool was it to be at the CMA awards the night before in Nashville.... {SUPER cool he was there the night before} ....before he left to make his way to the stage!
My.night.was.made.    :)
Tyler goes...'I knew you wouldnt believe me!' :)  Im a believer now! ha! :)
We had perfect seats! We were under the overhang so we stayed nice and dry! And because we came out right before Riley played...we stayed nice and warm in the other area. Perfection of a night!
Riley put on a great show! He played Dixie Land Delight with Randy Owens!.....which was outstanding! Then he also played with Jim Folsom, and Mr. Folsom actually sang with Riley and they sang Johnny Cash's song Folsom prison! That was awesome! Tyler was thrilled because he loves that song and Johnny Cash!
I found Mobbs! We had to grab a picture together because it seems we are becoming concert best friends! :)
Thanks to Nan and Pawpaw for holding the fort down at home! The girls enjoyed dinner with them and then headed home to homework, baths and bed while we were enjoying the night!

A girl's day!

We celebrated Veteran's day with a day off of work and school and instead we took off to Birmingham for lunch, shopping and girl time!

I like the trade! :)

We had a sweet little friend spend yesterday afternoon with us! Her Mommy and her went for a walk and came over to say hello. Then we ended up keeping her for a little while! :) These two played and played and played before I dropped her back home!
Cheers to a Starbucks girl's day! I would say its perfection as we have Starbucks...in the make-up aisle in Target shopping! :)
It was such a beautiful day today! Could not ask for a better day to enjoy being outside! I cant believe that the very next day...tomorrow...it is going to be freezing! It makes me sad!
After shopping...we had the BEST lunch at one of our favorites! We love Cowfish!
We did a little more shopping....and then headed home to enjoy the rest of the afternoon gearing up for the remaining work week!

The last game and our Saturday!

C-Team played SO hard today but lost in overtime.

They have had a great season and Lily has loved cheering!

I have to say...it has been a long season...so kind of glad for a break! :)

Now we are home and enjoying this beautiful Fall crisp Saturday!...about to watch the much anticipated LSU vs UA game! Auburn is off this week but BOY we are ready for the game that is about to start!
Madelyn rode to the game with us and Lily had fun chatting with her!
This snaggle tooth cheerleader at her last game as a C-Teamer! She will be B-Team next year!
Here we GO Eagles!
Doing their thing!
The 3 Amigos! We have had fun in the stands this season together! Carli and Molly crashed our picture! :) And...Gran came and supported Lily today and so did Nan and Pawpaw to finish the season strong!
WK and Lex spent the rest of the afternoon doing everything under the sun!...from this to riding scooters, jumping on the trampoline, dancing, singing, you name it...they kept busy!
Then...we got another knock on our door.....and it was Hope! So...Lily had to change and put on her Under Armour to match! :) They were super excited to be 'twins!' They did everything under the sun too! I pray that both girls has friends that dont have to even let us know...they just show up and fall right into like our own! I love our neighborhood for that reason alone! Nothing better than a pile of bikes and scooters in our front yard from sweet friends popping over! :)
Such a beautiful Fall day! Look at those leaves!...and that cute hover-board girl! :)
This was our backyard view! Notice a bunch of girls on the trampoline!?!
Then....we all ate the smoked Boston butt that Tyler smoked alllll night and then the BEST part! They roasted and roasted and roasted! :)
We all enjoyed the LSU vs UA game while eating and roasting and playing!
WK and Hope CRACKED me UP! They were SO into the game and were just soooo hoping UA would pull out the win! It was a great game...but when the game was over and LSU won...they were sooo funny! By this point we were inside. Well they both laid on my floor and crawled around like worms going....this is what we do when we are sad! You just had to be there to see what they were doing and how they were acting! I got them good when I made the comment...'So this is how Alabama fans act when they loose!?!?!' TOO funny! :)
And....SUPER funny! Since Tyler is 2 for 2 this week on pulling teeth...Hope begggggged him to pull her tooth! Then Alexis begggged him to pull her tooth NEXT!
Sad for both of them.....neither tooth was actually ready to be pulled! haha! We had a great and low key night at home with sweet little friends!

THIS face!

This face went from this.....

to this tonight!!
So....let me back up and tell you the story!

So....she has been needing to have her two front teeth pulled for weeks now! She just kept saying..'They are not ready yet...' .......sooo...we have just been waiting!....as they were even starting to turn brown!
She had been going....some...to Ms. Harper {the ultimate tooth puller} and she hadnt even convinced Lily to let her pull them!
So, last night.....Tyler wiggled them and BOY were they just dangling! So....she let him do ONE!...She said she just couldnt let him do both of them on the same night! ha! So, he pulled one!
Look at the hole! :)
She was SOOOO excited that the Tooth Fairy brought 10 bucks! :)
And...so tonight after dinner!..............YEP....that next tooth...GONE! :) She didnt want it to happen....kept saying...'Maybe tomorrow....' but...finally she was brave enough to just let him pull it out! ha! It took all of 2 seconds once she let him actually do it! SO, the Tooth Fairy gets to come AGAIN tonight!....{OH HAPPY day...the Tooth Fairy just LOVES to COME....it is SO much FUN!}.....says NO Tooth Fairy EVER! :) :) :)
Now...she is officially singing 'All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!' ha! {She asked us if that was an actual Christmas song....so I had to play it for her!} :) :)
Then this sweet moment happened! So, she carried her tooth around the rest of the night in her cute little sack with her name on it! Just to make sure her tooth didnt go missing or anything...she kept a tight grip on it!
Well, then she fell asleep against me! She curled right up and the next thing I knew....she was out!
So, I texted Tyler! {YEP...didnt want to say anything and her hear me to wake her up, though he was right over beside us in his chair!} :) Told him to get the money...and go ahead and put it under her pillow! So, he did..then I took her little sack...slowly dumped the tooth out and Daddy carried her into her room and to her bed!
I knew she would do this....so I was ready. As he laid her down, she sat up and said..'I have to check my sack to make sure my tooth is in there!' Well....I took the sack from her and said I would open it and as I did, I showed her it as it was already in my hand! :) :)
She accepted that and there went the sack under her pillow!
Score! :)
