Taking advantage of beautiful days!

Beautiful and sunny, warm, days are hard to come by these days so since we had a couple during our week off.............we have soaked up getting outside and enjoying it!

Wednesday three of us went for a run!...............well...........2 of us did, while the male of the house...was bossy and decided he was our personal trainer and rode his bike while telling us to run faster, we need to pick up the pace, etc!..............yeah! :)

Then Thursday the whole gang went on a bike ride and picnic! I LOVE doing this during Spring break and our picnic did not disappoint!

Topped off with Dugger Mountain made for a fabulous day!

My cute running buddy stretching it out before our run! I love running! I love that she wants to run with me now!

Stretch.it.out.

2 of us running.................the other..........on the bike...........being bossy! :)

Beautiful 2 days in a row! LOVE my view!

Perfect spot for lunch!

This one isnt so little anymore...but loved that her Daddy pushed her!

Her legs go on for days!

Checking out the creek before riding back home!

Nothing better than a treat from Dugger after a ride!

Our Reese stayed with us!

We have been sooooo excited knowing a special 3 year old was getting to stay with us! She did so good and we had the best time with her! It was her first time with us but will NOT be her last! It was her first time being around cats...and to watch her with Aubie and Soccer was so funny! She wanted to love on them and pull their tail....and just have them right in her lap! Soccer was fine with allll of it. Aubie...not so much but he tolerated most of it and then just avoided her the rest! ha!

After Church...us girls...headed to Pell City and had lunch and did some shopping before it was time to meet Mal to get her!

By the time we got home....they played and played with baby dolls the rest of the night before watching every Mickey and Minnie mouse show they could find! Reese said it was her favorite! :)

This 3 year old.......was glued to Lily! She wanted to hug her during the picture! :)

Monday we had to make a pit stop at the Orthodontist for Lily.........then hit the streets to Bham to do more shopping and then take a sweet little one to dance class! Alexis found her Elite night dress...and we got some other goodies to make the trip a success!
PF Changs for the lunch win!
The other side of the table!

Shopping success! Reese wanted to pose this way for the picture! Hmmm...okay! :)
Our ballerina ready for class! It took all 3 of us to get her dressed .....but we did it and she was ready!

We even got to preview her pictures! It was a great day!

Wearing our green!

On Sunday...Church and green went perfectly together since it was St. Pattys day!

Tyler...on the other hand....got pinched!............by Lily! :)

Not my...but their...first rodeo!

Tyler and I love the rodeo!

When we were dating at Auburn, we would go to the one in Montgomery and it was a lot of fun!

Taking the girls to the same one for their first time, was even better!

Alexis and Lily, both, didnt really like how the cowboys wrangled the baby cows necks to do the rope tie portion....

which was understandable because I do not like that as much either but we all loved the barrel racing and especially when the girls did their turn! Those cowgirls............were fast!

These cowgirls and cowboys were excited for the show!

This is my cowboy!

It was SO good to be there..........and catch up with SO many old college friends! Thanks for our friend Leigha, we had the VIP experience and go to go this tent before it started that had tons of foods, drinks, desserts, etc that was all free! All the kids were in Heaven! :) So...........while we were in there.......we ran into so many former frat brothers of Tylers, my dear old friend Kat, and it just made my day to hug her neck and catch up with everyone!

It was so great!

Alexis snapped this great picture of Lily!

Ready to go!

Thanks to Leigha....we had front row seats and had the best view!

My country crew! ha!

Living their best cowgirl life!

Found our seats!

I mean the view was perfection!

I mean...when is the last time you saw a horse sit down in a car and drive off! We were amazed! :)

We ventured out and saw the Montgomery sights after! The capitol of Alabama!

It was a gorgeous day and a gorgeous building! We ended this fun day with a great dinner at a new place in Sylacauga before heading home!

My two smarty pants!

Both girls brought home their report card Friday..........

and to no surprise............

ALL A's club for both of them!

They are some hard workers I tell ya!

So, we celebrated by having dinner at the Cane Creek Country Club and then going to visit Pawpaw since it was his birthday!

It was a great way to kick off Spring break!

World of Works!

 Whew...today was exhausting!

Over 1,000 8th graders walked through the Oxford Civic Center and I pretty much talked....to all of them!

It was a great day of recruiting and enjoying seeing students and interacting with the public!

Our table! I had a lot of fun shooting every 8th and 11th grade student from all over the State of Alabama with water as I talked to them about the importance of covering your mouth when you sneeze!

Picture day for our 'Senior!'

 It cracks me up....

that Lily calls this year her 'Senior year!'

But...it is her last year at the Elementary school...and she is SO excited about it and to be in the High school come Fall.

So, though I dont like the 'Senior year' part...her last Spring picture as a 6th grader...makes me sad and smile at the same time! I wish time would slow down, but I am excited to see her grow and what's next for her!

My Lily!

Her new hobby! Track!

 This girl!

She is just blooming and growing and exploring new things and just becoming the little lady that she is!

She started track this week and is so excited about it!

I cant wait to watch her learn this new sport and see her challenge herself with new things!

She came home last night and then said again this morning, that her legs are tired but that she loved her first practice!

Ready to hit the track!

She's out there! There is a big turnout for track so she knew alot of friends and there was alot of action!

A blessing that you didnt know you needed in a Book Club!

So, over Christmas, I was asked to be in a Book Club.

I had heard of book clubs and knew the 'gist' of them but had never been in one. I have done several Bible Studies, etc but never a book club where you read a lot of books! ha!

I enjoy reading and so when I was asked, I was excited to be apart of it! They only allow 11 women. There are rules! I didnt know rules were included in book clubs, but apparently there are! :) So, I was honored when I found out I was selected! :)

Well, last night I hosted! My month is March so we had dinner and discussed our monthly book.

It was SUCH a blessing and a lovely evening sitting and chatting, eating with everyone!

Three had to miss because JSU is having their accreditation this week (it only happens every 10 years) (I actually had to meet with the accrediting team earlier in the day. Yeah, it was nerve racking) so they had to be stationed at the Hampton Inn to work on all things accreditation so they could not make it.

I so enjoy hosting and having gatherings so when it was my turn, I had fun with the decor and meal!

It was a good time! Even though we only meet once a month, it has been so great to get to know the ladies and share 'life' with them!

I have enjoyed getting to know all of them!

My most favorite thing with my family!

It makes my heart so happy and me smile SO big when the weather turns beautiful and we are able to bike ride together!

Nothing is better than taking off from our house and hitting the trail!

It does my soul good!

Yesterday afternoon.........it was perfection! We had Church then lunch with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi so we enjoyed that and then came home and headed out!

The weather was beautiful and we soaked it up!

I just love riding with them and checking out 'Turtle Lake' as we call it!

A sweet older lady was walking her dog and stopped at the lake while we were there and she calls it Goose pond! So it is funny how each of us title it how we feel! :)

A couple of things to note on our ride that made me smile and is something I want to hold as memories!

1. Tyler had to raise Lily's bike seat up A LOT since last year's rides! Meaning.....she has GROWN!...A LOT! It was just yesterday her little legs gave all they could to keep up with us....and now...she is flying past us and having to have her seat raised as high as mine! :)

2. Tyler rode almost the entire way back...............without any hands! I just do not know how he does it.........especially as long as he does!

I tried to do it...and would have to put them down to 'catch' myself...all the while Alexis is screaming at me that if I break my head...it will be my fault! :)

I cherish these times and memories with my not so little family!

She impressed herself....that everything she had on....matched her bike...and her sunglasses! ha!

Always my favorite thing is to take a picture like this of them riding in front of me!

To the left..............is where our new Church will be built! Tyler mentioned that we can ride our bikes to Church. Lily didnt approve and she flatly stated...she will not be riding her bike in a dress! ha! :)

OHHHH.....on of my most favorite spots! EVER!

And...all of our bikes...and the colors make me happy!

These two...goodness...time sure does fly!

And this one....he's a keeper.

Spent the rest of the day...doing laundry, Wal-Mart run, cleaning our my car, mopping....ya know...that stuff!

Our weekend!

The weather is somewhat finally cooperating with us and allowing some sunshine and warmth.

My goodness, I am ready for it! The cold and dreary rain............can go!

Im ready for sunshine, and Spring and warm sunny days!

We had a low key weekend so it was nice to get out and about since the weather was better!

Friday it rained and was dark ALLLL day long! It was miserable!

BUT by the late afternoon, the rain ended so we made the most of it and had a long and overdue date night with the Bentleys! We havent seen them in months so it was great to catch up and enjoy a good meal at a new place to try! Ended with coffee at a new coffee spot to make it a great night!

Funny how life works! We werent very close in high school.......but now, it is just like we click! Love her!

Alexis and her crew for the Pancake breakfast to get started on her DD hours!
