Easter Sunday!

We have had a great long Easter weekend! OOHHH....I have to go back to work tomorrow! :( Why does time fly when you are having fun!?!?!......
We have ended our Easter fun today. We have had a lot going on with Easter stuff and we are tired! :)
We went to church with Nan, Pawpaw and Brandi this morning and enjoyed the Easter service at their church. After church we all went to eat at Top O' the River and then went over to Nan and Pawpaw's house for a little while after so the girls could open their Easter baskets! They LOVED their baskets. Alexis got a jewelry box and is obsessed with it! :) Since we have been home this afternoon...she has carried it around. She has put everything from her jewerly...to her "make up"..to little trinkets she has in it!
She came up to me and opened it and said "Mommy, I have my make up in here...would you like some "skeeara?" (mascara!) I loved how she called it SKEEara!.. it was sooo cute!

Decorating Easter eggs!

We are having a fun...and very busy Easter weekend so far! This morning we got up and headed to Cracker Barrel for breakfast (we checked out some yard sales)...of course before we went to eat. What would we do if we didnt do some yard sailing on a Saturday??! :) We then headed to do some shopping and still on a mission to try and find Alexis some red tee~ball socks since her games START next weekend!
We came home just in time for a little nap before we decorated Easter eggs!!! Alexis and Lily had sooo much fun decorating the eggs to take over to Aunt Pam's house for Easter tonight with everybody! This afternoon was really rainy so Alexis didn't get to find any eggs....but she still had fun with everybody decorating MORE eggs! And of course...the HIGHLIGHT of the night, but none other than "Patricia" Rabbit stopping by to say hello! Alexis did NOT like that one bit...and Lily just didnt know what to think when the "Easter bunny" showed up! It was sooooooooooo beyond sooooooooooo funny watching Meagan dress up and be the Easter bunny! MADE my NIGHT! :)
Alexis decided she wanted to spend the night with Aunt Pam, Brandon, Brittney and Mitchell tonight...(as long as Aunt Pam has a night light....and as long as Mitchell doesnt snore!!) (Alexis asked Brittney if Mitchell snored at night!)....so we will be stopping by Aunt Pam's in the morning before church to pick her up! I hope she is going to get SOME sleep! :)

With this week being Spring break as well as Easter week....all of our usual routines of Awanas, Bible study, and tee~ball were cancelled so we had a low key week to gear up for all the Easter fun! Tyler enjoyed his Spring break week off of work by going turkey hunting with Pawpaw everyday! I had a great sinus/ear infection all week...so my week was not as fun! BUT...when the girls get older...us girls are going to enjoy our Spring break too with fun "girl" trips!! ~ Daddy, can join us if he so feels..and is not hunting! :) Our time will come Alexis and Lily!!....I promise! :)
Gran and Aunt Pam were off for Spring break too...so they took the girls to see the movie The Croods on Tuesday. They said Lily would NOT sit still....(that is why I haven't taken her at this age!) :)...but they all had a great time!
And today is Friday...whoo hooo!...I always LOVE this day because that always means the next day is the weekend!! :) I was off today with it being Good Friday, so we enjoyed hanging out at home all together, playing outside and then going to Sonic and getting ice cream! YUM!
One of the most sweet memmories that I want to bottle up in my brain and never forget is watching my girls play together! Alexis and Lily were soooo sweet jumping on the trampoline together! Alexis is sooo good with Lily while jumping. She doesnt jump to high or hard..and they just laugh and play together so well. It is soooo sweet to me to see Lily reach up and want to hold Alexis' hands so they can jump together! It makes my heart smile!
Tonight we met Pawpaw, Nan and Brandi at their church's Easter festival. We enjoyed grilled out hot dogs and chili and TONS of Easter eggs!! :) Lily and Alexis collected soooo many eggs! Alexis loved jumping on the bouncy slide..and riding the carousel! Lily was a pro at gathering up all of her eggs! She was going so fast picking them up and putting them in her basket! It was sooo sweet to watch!
We have enjoyed yet another Easter event so far and we have a lot more coming up this weekend! :)

The beginning of Easter

This week is Easter week...and since we have so much going on...I thought I would skip "Throwback Thursday" and do the beginning of our Easter fun week!
Today the girls had their Easter party at their school! Alexis has been waiting for this day ALL week! The other day Alexis helped me put the Easter candy into her Easter eggs that she needed to bring for her party. Well, she came home that next afternoon and said that Mrs. Annette tried to take all of her eggs. Well, I explained to her that the eggs that we put candy in were not for her but for the party. I asked her if she was nice to Mrs. Annette about the egg thing...and Alexis goes "Yes Mommy I was nice...all I said to her was Mrs. Annette, why are you taking all of my eggs?" ha! ohhh me!! :)
Alexis came home today saying she had sooo much fun at her Easter party. She said that she ran really fast to get all the eggs that her teachers hid!.....and she said she had really good food too! I think the Easter parties were a success!! :)
