Awesomeness!

We have had an afternoon of awesomeness at the Law home!

Not only is today Friday! Whooo hooo!!....

Not only is it sooo awesome that tomorrow marks the month of April which just so happens to be my most favorite month!

But....so SUPER awesome that I have an all A's and 1 B honor roll girl in the house too!

AND......so awesome that I also have a little rising soccer star that got her uniform tonight and is SOOO beyond excited that she has it that she hasnt wanted to take it off! Alexis is dying to get hers in!

We have had so much awesomeness that I am ready to enjoy a beautiful weekend and look forward to where Alexis chooses tomorrow night to celebrate her awesome report card!

She is as smart as she is kind and beautiful! Love her and so proud of her!
This girl has worked and worked this 3rd grade year. To say it has been tough...yes it has.......but she has pushed through! We have had crying battles...we have had frustrating moments..we have had math tutor after working and working on math and spelling and everything in between. It hasnt been pretty....but the practice and the determination and her drive to succeed is showing! All A's with 1 B is absolutely awesome!
This chick wanted me to take a picture of her in her soccer uniform as she pretended to kick a ball! ha! And....so I did! :) She looks sooo adorable in her uniform! Her soccer socks literally go ALLLLL the way up her leg and stops at her bottom! haha! She is the BIG number 3 on the New York City soccer team! Watch out! :) :)

SLAM!

We love SLAM {Serving God, Loving others and Making a joyful noise} on Wednesdays! 'Chef Pedro' spoke about having Jesus in our hearts....said a 'little of this and a little of that' in Spanish....and chopped up our pizza dinner just for us with a side of a magic show! Such a fun night!

Sweet girls before the fun started!
He even did a magic show! Such a fun night!
 He chopped and chopped....
and used the saw and huge swords. Food flew! :)
Lily's sweetest little friends are the sweetest...and cutest..and adorable and I could go on and on!
Alexis didnt want to take a picture....because she was eating! :)

Wordless Wednesday!

{Food for thought!}

BOO!

Boo! Our Spring break is over!

We celebrated the last fun day of Spring break by Church...lunch at Subway {per Alexis' request} playing outside the rest of the afternoon before time to come back in for baths, cooking dinner and math tutoring!

It has been a beautiful Spring day and we are sooo sad the fun has ended! We are looking forward to having a great and fresh new week back into the groove though!

This sassy little thing was ready to head to Church!
 To Church ready girls!
I didnt get any pictures of them outside playing and jumping on the trampoline....but I did snap a picture of my cooking buddy while Sissy was gone to tutoring! :) :)

So quick to judge!

I am going to get on my 'soap box' for a minute so those of you who do not want to hear it....

pass on this post.

For the ones that do, read on.

I just do not understand how some people in this world can be sometimes. I just dont understand how many...many... people can just be soooo quick to judge someone or something even before they actually know true facts. Even before they actually even really know what is going on, what the situation actually is.

It absolutely frustrates me....................

I could give several.......and I mean several examples of this topic that I am on that has even happened to me personally but I will just give one tonight.

If you have had any remote interest in Facebook {or news in general}, and the new version of The Beauty and The Beast movie, then you have heard all the anger people have had towards it! How there have  been soooo many people boycotting the movie and writing long posts about how you should not go see it. How dare you take your kids to see it. How you are not Christian like if you go. On and on and on....and on....  I can not tell you how many posts and articles, etc that people have just down right been ugly towards it.

I have read posts by my own friends that have talked about how they are not taking their kids to see it.

All because someone started the rumor that there were all kinds of 'gay' scenes in it. Then you would read an article about how there are two guys kissing in it. Then you would read another article saying that other article isnt true. Then another person would put how it is just soooo inappropriate for kids to be watching a Disney movie...a Classic....like this. How could Disney ruin such a wonderfully classic movie?????

The talk about all of this mess......

even before the MOVIE was actually out for people to see.

Yet, everyone already knew allllll about the movie....

and allllll about how dare you see this movie.

That you should boycott it too.

Yet again, all before the movie was even released.

People would have conversations with me asking me if I was taking my girls to see it. Some would say that they were going to take their kids because they loved The Beauty and The Beast the animated version and wanted to see the 'real life' version. Some said nope, not taking theirs because of how horrible with the 'scenes.'

Well, let me tell you, I took my girls.

And it was the BEST movie!

There were NO scenes....not one thing was 'questioned' by Alexis or was inappropriate!...

It was outstanding!

All the fuss....

all the boycotting of people over this movie that hadnt even seen it. That didnt even know actual true facts on it............

just BLOWS my mind.

Same with other scenarios with life in general. People are just soooo quick to judge you over what others say. Judge you over false and stretched out situations that are not put into full perspective. They are just so quick to point a finger and criticize!

It just amazes me.

Truly.

So food for thought today from me.

Before you decide to point a finger at someone or something else, look at yourself....look at what the scenario is, get the full perspective.

Tyler and I had an impromptu bike ride! I love my shirt!
The turtles were in full action of relaxing!
And this one was relaxing too before we headed back home!
Getting ready to go see The Beauty and the Beast!
Lily was posing like the Easter bunny in this picture! She is a mess!
Andrew spent the night with us last night and the girls loved to have him over to play games! He had to play two games at once since Alexis wanted to play Battleship and Lily wanted to play the Match game!
After game time...we headed to Gran's for {what Tyler calls} the best ribs he has ever eaten. Brutis was sooo excited to see a little person! :) :)
The cool chick is tooooo grown!
Gran and Aunt Pam cooked some yummy foods that hit the spot and once we were all done, we hung out on Gran's new deck before heading to the movies! Great day to round out the end of Spring break! We have had a great week so far and sad that tomorrow is the last day!

Soccer is in session!

Mark Soccer Mom on my growing list!

I never thought I would have the title 'Soccer Mom'...but I love it and cant wait for the season to fully start!

Both girls had practice this afternoon! It was Alexis' first and Lily's second!

It was sooo fun to watch them in action!

She was nervous at first to go out on the field, but she got over it so quick and was out there smiling in no time!
The team meeting each other and Coach Ronnie!
She has a new soccer friend named Isabelle. They became instant friends!
Girl in action!
There are only three girls on the team...but they fit right in!
Look at her go!
Smiling the whole time!
Goal!
And this little one's turn!
Smiled the whole time too! Coach Aimee does so great with them while they do their drills and she is really teaching them how to play! I love that!
In action!
She did so good today! So proud of both of my soccer stars!

Our toes...and our Spring break

Sad...but true, our Spring break is flying by WAAYYY toooo fast!

We are now rounding the ending but we are still making the most of it!

Yesterday, I had a hair appointment so the girls and I headed to the salon! The girls are amazed with what all goes on at the salon! ha! BOY do they ask a ton of questions about everything there! {Especially Lily!} :) We had a low key and nice day at home the rest of the afternoon and just soaked up relaxing at home!

Today the girls and I had a girl's day! We hit the town with shopping...lunch and getting our toes ready for Spring!

The girls had a blast getting a pedicure! They love it! We hit dance classes too to round out the night!

Ready to dip their toes into the goodness!
Ooohhh they loved it! Watching the water turn different colors was their most favorite part of it all I think!
I took a picture of the final product of Alexis but it turned out way toooo blurry. :( Here is Lily posing with her new fingernails and toes! I love how I cut off her toes and didnt realize it! Boo!! :)
We had a great day of just us girls! Girl time is highly recommended even though we missed Daddy!

Wordless Wednesday!......Alexis' song!

I am amazed at this! Absolutely amazed at Alexis! For anyone that knows her, knows that she does.not.stop.singing! The girl sings and sings and hums and hums and sings herself to sleep...she just loves to sing!

Well....

she wrote her first song!!

All by herself!!

She came to me and wanted me to read her lyrics she wrote!!

It is beautiful and the fact that she came up with these words just blows my mind and makes my heart explode!

She isnt finished with it but to hear her beautiful little voice sing it makes me tear up! When she is done, I am going to record her! I cant wait!

Here are the lyrics if you cant read her writing:

I got the wind in my hair and a smile on my face I am ready to go.

Dont you be crying and crying, I'll be right next to you wherever I go.

Dont be saying you're wrong cause you're always right, Lord, in my heart!

Please make me follow your heart and your amazing grace!

{I asked her what the lyrics meant and she said that it means that no matter where she goes, that God will always be with her and that she knows he is always by her side. She said also that she wants God to know he is always right even if sometimes she or other people think he is wrong {with what is happening in their life}} WOW! :) :)

Thankful!

As I sit here typing this....

I cant help but be thankful.

Today was an amazingly beautiful day and I am soooo thankful that I am able to enjoy it with little family of four during Spring break!

I used to want to be a teacher.....

when I was growing up!

Then, as it became closer to time to decide my major, I decided I didnt want to be a teacher for several reasons. God knew that I would not make a good teacher and steered me and guided me to not be one!

I always still wanted to do something that influenced kids and for sure always wanted to have the holidays off....Spring break off too!

Well....to say that I am thankful, I am!

As we rode our bikes today...on the beautiful Spring day....I couldnt help but look up and say hello to my Dad and say 'thank you' to God for him blessing me.

For Tyler and I to have this time to make memories with Alexis and Lily is something that we both dont take for granted!

So, we have been soaking up every second and making the best of our time off this week!

Thankful!
Gearing up for our bike ride! Lily had her baby and her owl in her basket ready to go too!
My view for a little while!
Her little legs took her as fast as they could! We just couldnt keep up with Daddy and Lex so we took our time and just cruised and chatted! :)
Picnic time! YUM! :) Lunch by the water!
Lily got it in her head that she wanted her Daddy and her to make cherry jello with cherries in it! So they did....and they are enjoying it during our picnic!
Park time! These two swang their hearts out!
 And...of course, the monkey bars....
 for my two monkeys!
We got some soccer in on this beautiful day too!
And hit the creek before heading to Cecil's for some ice cream followed by outside the rest of the afternoon until time for baths...and a good afternoon nap! Perfection!

Seeing Tennessee!

I dont think I have ever been to Chattanooga Tennessee, but yesterday changed that!

We had a great family day!

We had a fulllll day of the Aquarium, IMAX and the Creative Discovery Museum!

It was a beautiful day as we walked downtown and for sure we will be back to Chattanooga to enjoy and explore more!

Hanging out with some cute penguins!
They were so cute to watch. They would swim and then just out of nowhere jump up on the 'land!' Then they would waddle around! They were fun to watch!
The girls were not sure about this at first but when Daddy and I told them that we had one of them on our backs before {during one of our cruises before they were born} they decided it was okay to touch them!
Alexis touching the sting rays next!
Then the butterfly house! Alexis tried and tried to get one on her finger!!
And...she got one! :)
The only family picture that I got! We were toooo busy exploring all day to stop and take one!
THIS! was something! OOOHHHH....to be that close to a shark. IT just looked SO mean and those teeth!
The girls were amazed by it!
They were excited to get in the shark cage! ha!
THIS IS THE SIZE OF THIS FISH! Can you believe it! A fish that is actually that big! I am in shock! I would pass out if something like that came swimming by me!
The girls took charge on our family day. We did everything they wanted to do! Alexis wanted Buffalo Wild Wings...so we walked there and enjoyed lunch and made it just in time for the IMAX movie after. It was amazing! It was about Wild Africa and it was sooooo cool especially with it in 3D!
Lily would not stop being silly to smile and take a picture for me!
After the movie and a run through the gift shop...we headed a couple of blocks to the Creative Discovery Museum! This was a fun place where they got to play and explore more!
Even Tyler enjoyed this part where you got to make your own track and see if your ball could make it all the way to the end!
Then we went to the 'Make It' portion and this was a very neat area! It was all hands on! Lily learned how to hammer and nail with Daddy!
Alexis decided she wanted to make a pillow!
She sewed and made the whole thing all by herself! She only lost her patience 2 times!! {which is huge because it took her an hour to make the pillow!} Im sooo proud of her!
Look at the final product! She put it on her 'American Girl' doll bed that she has and put her Fancy Nancy doll on it since the pillow part has Fancy Nancy on it!
Of course Lily wanted a pillow too because Alexis was making one...so Lily goofed off while Daddy made her one.....as I helped Alexis complete hers! :) :)
We capped off our fun trip with Ben and Jerry's before heading to Gadsden to do some more shopping and then home sweet home! It was a great day trip and since it didnt take us long at all to get there, we will be back!
