Halloween!

Wow, Halloween came and went very fast tonight!

With it being on a Tuesday, we didnt stay out late so it was just a blur really! I prefer to have Halloween on a Friday or Saturday night! It is just so much more fun...but tonight was great weather, record crowds, tons of candy, tons of fun!
I did my traditional 'bloody eyeballs, green brains' spaghetti and of course what cookies that the girls made and more! I didnt get many pictures of the food or much of any others since we were so busy having fun! I just love Halloween!

Oh Snapchat! It cracks me up with all of their filters! It amazes me how they transform your face!

Monday, we kicked off the week in more Halloween attire!

And today, we finished out our cuteness!

Aunt Pam was put on 'make up' duty! She helped Alexis get her fake eyelashes that she just HAD to have. Well, two minutes after wearing them...she was dying to take them off so she didnt wear them.

Pebbles and Bam Bam came over! They were not really into pictures...or trick or treating! The two things set for today....so instead, they played in our playroom the whole night until they went home! :)

Our 'dead, zombie cheerleader' Yeah...that is what she wanted to be this year! Alrighty then! :)

The Exums came over too and Lily loved catching up with MaKenzie until she got sick and they left early and didnt get to trick or treating with us. :(

I love our neighborhood! It is soooo fun and sooo many houses and such fun decorations! We had a huge crowd tonight. So much so that we ran out of candy and Tyler had to cut all the lights off in the front...including our spot lights we have! ha! They just kept coming...and coming...and coming!

One of our neighbors, up the street, had a smoke machine. It literally had our whole street filled with smoke!

This house is always a must do! We love going to the Drydens! They make Halloween so fun!

See, the headless man! :) We rounded out our neighborhood, came back home and the kiddos jumped into their candy bags....before everyone headed home and the girls headed to baths and bed! We actually were all in bed {well Tyler and I were hiding in our room away from the front door curled up watching TV} by 8:15! We had a great night!

Kittystone's Trunk or Treat!

The girls had so much fun tonight at Kittystone's 2nd annual Trunk or Treat!

We got there just at the perfect timing to beat the crowd but still work our way back to our car while seeing and saying 'hi' to friends!

Alexis had gym class at 6:30 so we made it just in time after the trunk or treat!

So, GET this!! We went to the Rocket to eat before the Trunk or Treat.......and LOOK who just so happened to be eating there!?!?!
Here's the scoop!
So, he was sitting with a friend eating at the booth right where we walked in. I was standing in line with Tyler and the girls...and both girls were just going back and forth..and back and forth..and back and forth with me for what they wanted. First Lily said she wanted chicken fingers..then she said no, she wanted a hamburger...then Alexis said she wanted chicken fingers...then a hamburger with everything on it...then Lily said she wanted a 'hamburger..no cheeseburger with JUST a bun, meat and ketchup ONLY, Mommy.' At this point....I hear laughing like crazy...and Lily looks over at him {who is doing the laughing} and as she looks at him.....he looks at her, as he is laughing, and starts saying 'No, no...okay so yes, you are getting a hamburger with everything on it!' {Joking because how Lily specifically was saying JUST a bun, etc etc} I was facing forward and not looking at him BUT as soon as he started talking.........
I knew that voice in a second!
I turned around and started laughing and I said 'Hey, I know you!!' 'Youre famous!' And, he just grinned from ear to ear! I said 'You are Southern Momma!' ha! And he said, 'Why yes I am!'
Too cool!!
I have a feeling Im going to be the highlight of one of his next hilarious skits! 'Southern Momma on how to get your kids to order out at restaurants!' :)

We saw these sweet girls when we were walking in so we walked around with them! :)

And fun games too!

Lex and Carmen! Both of them had to Trunk or Treat fast to get ready and go to gym class! :)

So sweet! Please pray for this sweet 'JoJo with the Bow-bow Jaycee.' She was her normal happy and full of life and sweetness Jaycee tonight when we saw her. She gave me one of her famous squeezes hugs too. It just melted me. She is so young. She just doesnt grasp the magnitude of her Daddy being gone. To her, with her age, she is just in the mindset of...her Daddy is on a trip, type feeling. It wont really hit her for awhile down the road. When she gets older. Then she will realize it. I pray for her sweet spirit. I pray for her when she misses her Daddy. I pray that she will have a memory of him even when the years come. I pray. I know how it is with my Dad. I know how I have to try and hold on to the memories and I was older when he passed. It will be hard for her. I pray for her. :(

We have been gearing up for Halloween this weekend!

We have been busy with chocolate and pumpkins!

Of course we have to dress in our Halloween best during Church Sunday! :)

Then...getting ready for some pumpkin carving!.......or actually.....watching Daddy carve! ha!

Talking about who was going to pull all of the  'yuckiness' out!!

And...so, they did it this year! They pulled it all out by themselves! :) :) This is a HUGE deal!

They got 'grossed' out...only a couple of times! :) Alexis drew the faces on the pumpkins so Daddy had to work hard to carve it all!  haha!

As I was taking this...she said, 'Mommy it is so cold and nasty in here!' bahaha!

Throwback to 2016! Look how much the girls...and the pumpkins have changed in a year! :)

Lily helped me carry out the pumpkins....and helped display them!

Then she did a scary face for a picture...while Tickles was begging to get in the house! We didnt carve outside because.........burrrrr, it was super cold today! We have had warm weather for the past several years....but this year, it has gone from Summer to straight Winter. No Fall! BOO!

Then, we started getting ready for our Halloween party! We decorated cookies!

Halloween week!

We love Halloween at our house!

The week of Halloween, we always wear our cute attire! With Halloween being on Tuesday {of next week} we had to have a full week so...this week it is! :)

Monday! If you notice...Alexis' witch has a perfect home on our mantel! It is the perfect spot for it!

Tuesday! Carmen spent the night and went to school with them on this day! They showed off their witches shirts on this day!

Wednesday! We had Church so I didnt get Alexis before she changed clothes but Lily is cute in orange! :)

And today! Thursday! Stay tuned for ...Monday and Tuesday! Tomorrow they will be wearing 'red'for Drug Free week and their Screaming Eagles shirt since JHS has their last home game of the season so, boo, to no Halloween attire on Friday. But...........hey....it will be Friday at least! :) :)
