ZOOMM! Her birthday surprise....early!

 This girl...

our youngest....

has been giving us the 'count down' to her birthday for weeks now!

On top of that......been asking us....'what are you getting me for my birthday?'

All while....not telling us really anything that she wants...saying she doesnt know...and being no help (but annoying) the whole time! :)

So...today...

we surprised her...

with her birthday gift....

even though it is basically 13 days away!

She was SO surprised!

She had NO idea that we were getting her this and she LOVES it!

This contraption attaches to her hoverboard and it is so awesome! I even love to ride it!

So...happy early..birthday gift...to Lily! :)

SURPRISE! Happy birthday sassy thing!

She spun and learned how to work it quickly! A funny moment, though, was when Alexis asked to try it out. (We all know..Alexis is 'finicky' when it comes to things like this....so Lily really wasnt wanting her to ride it! She literally LOST her mind while Alexis would spin or go down the drive way...screaming..youre going to wreck my birthday gift! Get off! Well, Alexis wasnt getting off and it was her turn to ride it so Lily gets mad and starts running down the drive way (mad)..well...Alexis (being a pest) takes off on it down the drive way...after Lily...yelling 'Im going to get you!' All..the while making Lily more mad!) You just had to be there to see if for yourself.....Tyler and I were dying laughing at what was happening...just because of the sheer fact...WHY!??! ha!
She rode and rode! So fun!

Our weekend recap!

We made it to the weekend! I live for Fridays....these days! ha!

The weekend goes by tooooo fast which really stinks but we sure do make the most of it each week! ha!

Saturday turned into a beautiful day, though, we thought it was going to be rainy weather. So, we took advantage of it by having a fun family bike ride to have a picnic before riding back home!

OH...I love our bike rides! Riding the trail with my little family is just one of my most favorite things to do!

After we got home, Daddy went to play golf with Pawpaw so us girls took off to do a little shopping in Piedmont and stopping at Dugger Mountain for 'fun treats!' Fudge, a mango/pineapple popsicle and a strawberry smoothie hit the spot! :)

And today...we kept it low key with Church, lunch and then the rest of the afternoon Lily was over at Camille and Madelyn's. Alexis took a nap and Tyler and I did school work! Fun times! :)

Perfect spot to have our lunch...if I dont say so myself!

Three things in this picture! 1. Lily and Turtle lake....2 of my favs! 2. See the turtles behind Lily in the water!...LOVE! :) 3. Kudzu. I had NO idea how it smelled soooooo amazing! Like the best smell I have smelled {besides honeysuckles or gardenia}. The smell was just awesome! AND...the beautiful flower on it too! Like...what! I know everyone hates kudzu.....because..yeah..it takes over everything...but there is always beauty among anything..you just have to look!

Dugger Mountain for the win! We love popping there and enjoying a fun treat! It makes us happy!

This girl....thumbs up!

Us Church girls ready to go! Happy Sunday!

A happy Saturday...for a couple of Dewberry's!

 Meg got married today!

SOOOO happy for her!

soooooooooo soooooooo happy! OH happy day!

Due to stupid COVID....Chase and Meg decided to keep their ceremony small with it being just his parents and his sister and then Meg's parents and Mal, Bill, Blake and Margie.

soooo...come April....hopefully their big wedding/reception will get to take place where we alllll  will be along with all their friends! It is going to be at the beach so we are excited about a beach trip too! :)

So today...they kept it simple and had a little outside, garden wedding in their backyard of their new home! I cant wait to go to B'ham and see their new place sometime soon!

Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Dewberry!

Love this and so happy for her! She is glowing!

A BIG surprise!

WOWOOWOWOW!!!

Did we get a BIG surprise today!

Got a text that two of my most favorite people had something they wanted us to know!

THAT they are having a BABY!

Whoop whoop!

They are due in March and we can NOT wait! So....we rushed down to Nannie's to see them since we havent seen them since...I dont know WHEN...since they are home for Meg's wedding tomorrow! It was soooo good to see them after soooo long!

Can you guess who I am talking about from this picture! Hint...it is NOT LaLa and Vic! :) :) Another hint...my favorite Cali people! :)

It was good for the soul to see these peeps! I just love them! Loved seeing Reese...loved seeing them all!

Our 2nd week!

We have made it through the 2nd week of our crazy new life we are living these days!

And...found out...

that...

SURPRISE...

we get to continue it for another 2 weeks!

I just have no words. I just dont. I have soooo many emotions about all of this..... that are mixed and all over the place...so...I am just going to sit on them! :)

So....

just a couple of pictures of our action this week!

I only snagged one picture of Lily {from her only 2 days of 'in person school'} and none of Alexis. So there is that!

But, it has been a good week and we are just trucking along!

Monday came and went fast! She was ready to go to school and is loving how she is picking out her own outfits without any assistance from me! :)

This girl also lost another tooth this week! She was pumped to have that one out as it.......stuck out. bahaha! It was funny looking because it did stick out {because her front teeth made it do that} So...now she doesnt have a 'stuck out' tooth! ha! She has officially lost EIGHT teeth now! Whoop whoop! I...I mean...the Tooth Fairy has made it past the EVIL number 7! :) :)

Alexis had a fun event at cheer this week! She has been ready for 2 weeks to meet her 'Big!' Thursday was the night!

Her Big Sister! Kelsey Comisac is her Varsity Big Sister! She is the sweetest and I am SO happy she is Alexis'. She is such a great example that I want Alexis to follow! She lives a couple of streets over from us so we are just super thrilled!

The 'Bigs' and the 'Littles' had matching socks. They were separated and then met in the gym to see who had the same matching socks to show who had who! Alexis got the cutest basket full of alllll her favorites in it from Kelsey too!

SUCH a fun practice! I wish we would have done something like this when I cheered!

When I saw this...I laughed out loud!

Wrapping it up!

We've wrapped up the weekend and are now about to roll into our 2nd week of school!

My hope and prayer is that this is the last week of this blended action that is happening! Now...I have to say...it hasnt been super terrible over here thanks to Nan helping come over and get the girls squared away with their assignments....but still it has been hard! Not being able to load certain documents/assignments. Alexis claiming that she has done all of her work to get an email from Schoology {the online school company they are using} that she hasnt...thus..putting her in a panic because she 'thought' she's done.

Ya know....

things like that is just driving me nuts!

And....just the fact that the girls and I dont feel like we are 'back in the groove' that we have our 'structure' that we all thrive on.

So, this week they will determine what September holds...so we shall see!

Saturday Madelyn and Camille came over and these three spent the entire morning until afternoon playing their hearts out. They did everything under the sun...including having a picnic...and taking a break to eat a popsicle!

Alexis enjoyed supporting her friends at their JHS Junior High volleyball tournament while these three 'hung out!'

They put sunglasses on Soccer! Poor thing.....he didnt know what was happening!

Then we went over to the Soriano's for Taco Saturday night! The kids swam while the adults watched the Oxford vs Thompson football game.

These two have yet to 'be twins' out of allllll the times they have swam over the course of the Summer....until Saturday night! Finally...so they wanted me to take their picture!

Three amigos!

FINALLY back to Church! We have had in person Church, start back, since August {if I remember correctly} and when we went, it just wasnt the same. There was no one there. The girls couldnt go to their classes....it was just 'weird.' Well, last Sunday...it was finally 'back to normal!' So, since all went well and they were able to continue doing 'normal' Church, we went today! It was soooo good to be 'back to normal.' {as best we could in the times we are in right now!}

Then this afternoon, we enjoyed some golf time! Lily spent the afternoon with swimming with Madelyn and Camille while we golfed!

It was my 1st time actually playing....and I stunk! ha! I did! I tried...and I got some good shots in...but yeah...I did! I stunk! :) We just played 9 holes so I just know if we would have played all 18...I would have beat Tyler! :) :)

Some Daddy and Lex time on the way to play!

Then he let her drive the rest of the time! Then she switched and drove mine the rest of the time. I only had one moment where I thought we were about to hit a tree! ha!............other than that...she did awesome! She was so proud of herself! Now....to get her to pay attention and keep the score...or be quiet and stop being loud....yeah..she needs to work on that!

In action! He plays awesome....ya know...me...well it was my very first time! :) Until next time....if he invites me back! :)

We have missed you!

 OH Friday night lights....

we have missed you!

I am SO thankful that, though, we were not 'normal'.............it felt as close as it possibly could last night as we watched the Golden Eagles stomp Saint John 48-0!

What a way to kick off football season! I am so happy it is here!

Alexis had her first official JV Cheer duty...selling programs!

She was so excited to be 'in action' and get to shine in her uniform!

My JV cheerleader! Goodness she is growing up so fast!

Go Eagles! So excited the season is here!

Selling programs! She did a great job! ha!

Love these girls!

These two have so much fun with each other! We went to dinner with the Sorianos before the game to Baja. They love 'hanging out' with each other! :)

Ahhhh......LOVE!

Made it past hump day...moving closer to Friday...so yeah...Im making it! :)

My new 'home' is getting complete!

Getting settled...slowing but surely!

Dont mind allllll the papers...that is the story of my life right now but glad I am starting to feel 'settled!'

When you walk in! Say hello!

Back in the groove for me!

 Whew...

 I am tired.

It is just Tuesday!

It feels like it should be Friday....of next week! ha!

So far so good, though, as we are rocking and rolling with the students!

Though their classes are going to be virtual............we still are seeing them alllll....alllll 420 of them!

Yeah..Im tired! :)

To kick off the season...we had Faculty/Staff Convocation/Kick off! Love my work crew...and Cocky! Here's to a great semester!

Allll...of us....social distancing...wearing a mask outside...in the heat/sun, but ya know, the times we are in.....

 THIS...Day 1....

 THIS....day 2....

yeah....so.many.students. They all know me...............I pretend I know them! I am horrible with names and I hate that..............because they think I know their names...and I fake it....as best I can! :)

Pandemic style school beginnings!

The girls survived their 1st day back to school....since the beginning of March!

CRAZY to believe they have been out of school for as long as they have!

Getting up early this morning...actually wasnt a struggle just because they both were so excited! Now...let's see how it continues!

Sad to say...they only go one day this week. Two days next week!

BIG prayers....September they are back FULL time! Pray big people....please! :)

These two! They are soooo ready to get back to school! They really do love school...and not just because they get to see their friends. I so hope that they can get back to 'normal' with it!

This picture cracks me up!

Pandemic style...ready!

Two beautiful girls....even behind a mask!

Ready for school! Prayers for a great year!

My 7th grader! WOW! She is SO excited to be at the high school! So excited to be 'grown!'

My 3rd grader! She is SO excited to be in Mrs. Real's class! She is sooooo excited to have Riley, Caroline and Ella!

Tooooo cool for school!

She was so excited to give her teacher her 'back to school' gift! She came home soooo excited that Mrs. Real wore the mask she gave her allll day! :)

Ive got sunshine!

Today was just what the doctor ordered!

I havent been outside...soakin up the rays in awhile so today was perfection!

Since Alexis' birthday didnt go as planned with a day full of boat riding and tubing, I told the girls that we would have a make-up day before school started. So, today was the perfection of a day to do it...and perfect timing as school starts Tuesday!

Today couldnt have been a better day to be on a boat...soakin up some rays!

Ahhh!! Nice!

The girls had a BLAST! They laughed and sang and checked out some cute boys on some jet skis.....and tried to not get knocked off the tube and swam!

So fun today!

Since today wasnt Alexis' birthday celebration {though it is a re-do from her birthday} Lily had a friend come! Lily was so excited to have Pearson...and Pearson was soooo excited to be there!

This crew was ready to get in the water!

The Lily pad for the win! Aunt Pam and Richard threw it out and the girls loved flopping and swimming on it.

BOAT time! Our two Captains!

Pearson and Lily had a blast riding together! They thought they were sooooo brave!

They had a blast too!

Tyler accomplished his goal...a couple of times...throwing the girls off!

They were too big for their britches sometimes! :)

They had fun floating too! We grilled out and hung out with Grey too while we were there! We had a fun afternoon! Just what we all needed to gear up for our full week of 'back in action!'
