And this is what happens!.......

So....

This is what happens when....
you are super excited that your fun friend Carmen spends the night with you and you and her both are excited that she made it through the whole night without going home!....all smiles! :)
They both asked me if they could "Please can we stay up alllllll night???"..... well at midnight {when I couldnt hold my head up ANY more....} I convinced them that they had stayed up allll night and that it was time to go to bed! :)
This is what happens when......
it is the the very last day of Turkey season.......
you FINALLY get that Turkey!....
This is what happens when....
Your Daddy shoots a Turkey and he cuts off a Turkey feather for you and your fun friend Carmen! :)
This is what happens when...
You see your sweet sweet friends before your game starts! {Lily's face is priceless!}
This is what happens when....
You have the Indian Pole and you are on the warpath! :)
This is what happens when....
You are ready to hit it out of the park!
This is what happens when....
you DO hit it out of the park! :) :) :)
This is what happens when....
you are as fast as lightning!....you make it to third and are ready to bring it home!
This is what happens when.....
you are just too grown!
This is what happens when....
you match your adorable Lil' Brave! :)
This is what happens when.....
you want to see Miss Leslie but cant stay for her shower because it is a Lingerie Shower! :)......you see her for a little bit, give her the gift and smile for a picture before all the fun happens!
This is what happens....
when you have had a FULL and FUN day....from your game.....and from having your fun friend over all night....and because after all the FUN, you are curled up at home all snug as a bug in a rug as an afternoon thunderstorm rolls in.....
Perfection!............

Busy week!

We have been busy this week with Spring semester winding down, ballet winding down, t-ball winding up and everything in between! :) :)

We have had Awanas this week and homework and spelling words and coin counting and more!

We capped off tonight with Carmen spending the night with Alexis!

Poor Lily....she doesnt understand that Carmen is Alexis' friend and not so much hers...even though Carmen is super sweet and includes her in things......

It is just....

Alexis doesnt so much.....

and Lily wants to do EVERYTHING that they do....

I guess the quicker Lily figures out that she is the younger sister and her 'time will come' will be for the good...

I dont know when that will be though! :)

I have spent a lot of time with these ladies this week with us being in meeting after meeting since Spring semester is officially over today!
And nothing better than watermelon after a hard afternoon of t-ball practice! :)
These chicks wanted to go eat Mexican so we celebrated it being Friday by having a girl Mexican party! :) :)

Their ears still hang low!

Today marked that time again to do the twice a year measuring of the girls!

I just love to do this and it cracks me up how the girls get when we do it!

What I mean by that....they just have this little competition among themselves as to who grew the most!

Tyler always loves to mess with Alexis and just like tonight....he made a mark under where she was the last time we did it and told her that she had shrunk!

OH ME.....

she falls for it every time...

and she always looks over to me and asks me if he is lying or not!......as Lily is laughing her head off because she has grown and Alexis has shrunk! :)

Lily was up first! This little girl is growing and I love watching her do it! :)
Doing her famous signature! :)
There it is! The results!!
Alexis was last but not least! It is hard work to stand still while still trying to eat her popsicle and smile too! :)
Her signature on the wall!
And there it is! Her results! :)
Daddy and Lily played a little air hockey before Alexis and her played a round while Tyler beat me in a round of ping pong and darts! He is good!.........and I am not even close!

A beautiful birthday weekend!

Tyler and I had a beautiful birthday weekend!

You couldnt ask for better weather and relaxation too!

We kicked off the weekend with my birthday and heading to Gadsden for dinner. It was crowded at Chilis but oh so good!

Since Alexis and Lily spent the night with Gran, Tyler and I headed and did a little shopping before heading home. He let me pick out a new purse for my birthday! It is a fun yellow and I love it! :)

Tyler and I woke up SUPER early and went Turkey hunting since it is the last weekend of Turkey season. Sad to report, no Turkey. We saw and heard several....but they just wouldnt come our way! {Insert tears for Tyler} he didnt get a Turkey this year. :(

Once we finished up hunting, we came home and headed out for a bike ride down the trial! It was sooo beautiful but super windy so we changed plans and decided to not ride all the way to Piedmont. I think we would have died if we tried to push through the wind! It is tough to ride when it is windy! So, we went pretty far and then turned around and rode the other direction back towards JSU campus. We stopped off at Struts and enjoyed lunch before heading home to REST! :)

Alexis and Lily just relaxed at Grans' before they headed home where we spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies and eating popsicles! :)

We rounded out the birthday weekend by Church, lunch, and Alexis and I painted our toes! :) Nothing better! :) :)
My view! LOVE!
Love stopping for a break at 'Turtle Pond!' Little did I know that is what it is called! I just thought I just was the only one that called it that until a friend of mine noticed where we were parked and said she loved Turtle Pond! WHO knew! :)
All the turtles were lined up all along this log! I couldnt get my phone quick enough before they all started jumping off. Only these braves ones were left once I took the picture! :)
After Church and lunch Alexis and I drove to FOUR nail salons only to find that they all were closed today! {I mean really!....why cant ONE be opened on a pretty Sunday afternoon!} :) Sooo....we came home and did our own! This was the first time ever that Alexis painted her nails by herself! She did both her fingernails and toe nails!! She did awesome {which Im not surprised at all} because she is so neat and precise anyways with everything else! I asked her if doing it like this was more fun than going somewhere to have it done and she said that she LOVED doing it herself at home! :)
She was in SUCH deep concentration the entire time she did it all! She even did what's in style now by painting all of her nails one color except her ring finger and toenail was painted a different color {she chose silver sparkles} She was SO proud of herself! :) :)

My special little day!

Well...today marked another year in the books for me!

I guess I could say I am one year wiser.........

the jury is still out about that!........

I had a great day today. It was supposed to be raining with thunderstorms all day but thankfully it ended up being a beautiful Spring day!

I know I can say, I am blessed to be one year older! :)

I love my co~workers! We all enjoy lunch together ever once in awhile! Jan always loves to tag along with us whenever we go even though she is retired now! She brought sweet Ella with her to keep us all entertained during lunch!
Today was  a great day! I had lunch with my most favorite date! Tyler and I enjoyed Cecils before heading back to work!
Once we were off, we headed to get the girls before going to Gadsden to meet Gran, Ben, Richard and Pam to eat at Chilis to celebrate more...and to celebrate Tyler's late birthday! Chilis was super good but goodness it was soooo slow! The girls always enjoy seeing the 'pretty dresses' while we wait. We love to sit out in the back part by the water. It is soooo nice to look out as we wait. Tyler mentioned {and I totally agree} it seems like every time we go to Chilis there is always like a Prom or some sort of dance where couples are dressed up and taking pictures by the water! Alexis loves to look at all the fancy dresses! Tyler and I laughed because the last time we went there it must have been some Prom because there was a couple dressed head to toe in Camo! Yes, the girl had on a Camo dress! {Something I NEVER thought I would see!} :)
This little chick was super excited to celebrate my birthday with me and head to Gadsden! She got her two friends buckled in and ready to go too! :)
Tyler got Alexis an old fashioned Coke to enjoy on the way to Gadsden! She thought it was the coolest thing!
The girls ended up spending the night with Gran and Ben so now Tyler and I are literally doing nothing {insert WHOO HOOO here} :) and then getting up early to Turkey hunt and then a long bike ride! {Im tired just thinking about it!}...but excited!!
I would give two thumbs up on mine and Tyler's birthday weekend!! :)

T-ball 2016!!

Lily had her t-ball pictures today and her little team is just adorable! :)

Lily wasnt feeling too good today because of her throat and ears, but we made it to pictures and I thought they turned out cute!

They are sooo little! :) :)

Little t-baller! :)
Throwback to when Alexis played! Circa~2013!!
My first little t-baller! :)

BIG day for Aubie!

Happy birthday to Aubie today! He is 2!!

We celebrated his birthday today with cupcakes, party hats and the happy birthday song after the girls got home from Awanas! :) The girls have been sooooooo excited about celebrating Aubie's birthday and just couldnt wait to do it!

Tickles was invited to the party since she is a member of the family now and she said happy birthday to him by hissing at him! haha!!

We dont know when Tickles birthday is but we will celebrate her 'gotcha day' {kind of like they do when you adopt a child and have a 'gotcha day'} in November! She will be with us for a year then! :)

This picture CRACKS me up!! Tyler is mid sentence saying 'Why are we taking a picture of a cat's birthday' as he is trying to hold Aubie from jumping down because he wants nothing to do with his own party! Meanwhile, Tickles has to be thinking... what is going on and why did I choose this family to adopt me as Alexis is doing the perfect pose and smile {as her normal self} oblivious that poor Tickles is probably misearable....and Lily, well, is just being Lily and is still dazed and confused since it is her bedtime and from all the medicines from her surgery! ha! Fun times! :) :)
Happy 2nd birthday Aubie, we all love you!!
Throwback to when Aubie turned 1 last year! :)

Happy birthday Tyler!

Today is Tyler's birthday!

Boy, he is getting old! :) :)

HAPPY birthday to YOU!

We REALLY surprised Tyler last year on his birthday when we went and ate Mexican with the waiters coming out singing to him and putting the sombrero on him and the cream on his face....so the girls were SUPER excited to do it again this time....and SCORE, we did yesterday! Look at his face! SURPRISED! :)
Lily thought it was hilarious!
And then she REALLY thought it was hilarious when Daddy smudged it on her face too! :)
And today Tyler and I took off early and went for a bike ride together down the Ladaga trail to celebrate and Im sooooo sad because my SIM card on my phone went bad and so the pictures I took are gone but we still had a great ride and it was a beautiful afternoon!
We met Nan, Brandi and Pawpaw later on to celebrate on his actual birthday at his chosen spot, Longhorn, and he was sang to again and look who ate all of his birthday dessert! :)

Recovery weekend

Lily has done SO well with her recovery from her surgery.

She has gotten better and better over the weekend and I am so thankful!

Poor Bryson {a sweet friend of Lily's on her t-ball team} had his tonsils out the week before Lily and he has been super sick and not eating so Im glad that Lily is doing so well.

We have been just trying to keep her 'chill' and it has been hard because she has asked a lot to go outside and play or go to the park since it has been such a beautiful weekend. Thank goodness it wont be too much longer that she can start doing all of that again because I know she has missed it! She has developed a really....really high pitched little voice {which is completely normal and part of the healing process} but it is just really funny to hear her little body speak in her little high pitched voice! Alexis, on the other hand, doesnt like to hear it. She just doesnt understand that Lily cant help it. She keeps telling her to stop talking like that. She thinks Lily is just playing...and wont stop! ha! Thank goodness it shouldnt be too much longer before her sweet little voice is back to normal! :)

Yesterday was such a pretty day that we ventured out for a little bit to get Lily out of the house. We did some shopping and then enjoyed eating at the new Panda Express that has just opened down in Oxford. YUM-O! Tyler and Alexis decided to go on a Daddy/Daughter date down the Ladiga trail on a bike ride while Lily and I stayed home and watched cartoons and a movie. She caught on that Alexis was leaving with him....so we had to tell a little white lie that they were going to the store and would be back. I hated it for Lily but hated for them two to not be out and enjoy the day!

This morning we had our normal routine of Church and then Nan called and we met them for lunch and the girls are with them heading to see the new Jungle Book movie. Sooo....since they are gone, Tyler and I enjoyed going to the JSU softball game and then got a 'fun' drink from Sonic to round out our low key afternoon. Now we are all home with nice warm baths and curled up ready to relax and head to bed in a little bit!  :)

Little Miss Sassy spent the entire Saturday afternoon playing dress up and walking her baby dolls....and her water jug....around and then 'cooking' and 'taking orders' at her restaurant with Alexis! :)
Can you see two real girls?!?! They are hard to find! :)
Alexis and Tyler decided to go on a bike ride and this was Tyler's view! Alexis loves riding her bike!
Our favorite spot is to stop at the 'Turtle pond' as we call it! Alexis said that they didnt see any turtles this time but that they saw two random dogs swimming together...and racing each other in the water! :)
Daddy took a selfie with Alexis! :)
They finished up their bike ride with the Ice-cream man at the park!
Church girl today!
This picture cracks me up because this is Lily being Lily. She is refusing to smile because she thought I didnt give her enough time to put her purse on her shoulder! OH me! :) :)
