The BEACH!!

It has felt like it has been forever since I had my toes in the sand!

A year to be exact...

but it has felt way longer than that!

So, here is 'Part 1' of our fabulous beach trip!

We did everything under the sun!...from floating in the ocean, playing with friends in the pool and beach, eating yummy food, Tyler and Alexis chowing down on as many oysters as they could get, dip-n-dots rounds, go-carting, skee-ballings, beach walking, eating our weight in homemade guacamole, popsicle eating, lunching by the pool, crab catching, 'scuba diving', Lily swimming all by herself!!, Mexican train winning, shopping, alligator eyeing, deep sea fishing and MORE! :) :)

So, we got up bright and early last Saturday and BOY were we ready to head to PCB!

We got down there really early.....

and Lily had to go to the bathroom so I thought I would go on in and try and check-in even though it isnt in my name....

WELL.................................

the lady could not find Gran's name....

AT ALL....

until......

she came upon it...

for the next week!!!

I about passed out in the floor....right then and there!

She told me that we were down on the wrong week and that our week was next week! {said something crazy to do with it being Leap year....who knows.....} :(

So...I called Mom and asked her how much longer til she was down...

so, we waited for 30 minutes on Gran, Ben and Andrew to get there and for Mom to try and get it fixed.

Well, they tell Mom that we are indeed there on the wrong week...she tells them we are not...they give her a number to call...and 30 minutes on hold...there is still no one on the line....so the lady was really nice and said that she would stay on hold and speak for us and for us to go and enjoy the pool while we wait and see if they had a room that we could stay in. She originally told me that they had two...but then the manager said that we couldnt use those two rooms....

so...

our hopes were getting thin....

but almost 3 hours later, the lady comes out to us at the pool and says that they got us in!

WHOOO HOOO!!

Mom and I had just enough time to get out our luggage...and throw it in and then we headed to Brittney and Mitchells for their baby reveal!

It was on the other side of Destin...

so, we were late.....

because Destin traffic is obsurd and we were stuck...dead still...forever trying to get through. It took us 2 hours to get to their house!

Once we were finally there.....we had great food, caught up with everyone, saw their cute new house...

and found out they are having Kennedy Paige!

But...let me back up.....right around the part of us catching up with everyone...Mom realized that she locked her keys in her car!......

so, we had to call a locksmith...that didnt get there until 8:30!!!!!!

We called him at 5:30ish!!!

Yeah....talk about a day!

Andrew, Tyler, Ben and the girls got to stay and hang out at the pool and then catch crabs at the beach while we were waiting on the locksmith! We didnt get back until 10:30ish!

The next morning we were up and at'em and ready for the beach! We spent the entire day at the beach and the pool before heading to J Michael's to eat dinner and then coming back to the condo for more swimming!

Monday....we got a good 3 or a little more hours in when a storm came so we all decided to get cleaned up and go back to Destin {crazy I know} to hit the outlets and eat somewhere fun!

Well, once we did some shopping at the outlets...it became a gorgeous day again so we headed back to the condo and spent the rest of the afternoon and night swimming and hanging out! :)

That's Saturday, Sunday and Monday for ya! Stay tuned for even more fun! :)

They had a cute reveal! They had water guns that had pink paint in it and they shot their shirts so everyone could see the pink to know Miss Kennedy is on the way!
I am looking lopsided in the picture because the paint was wet on both of their shirts and I didnt want it on me! :)

Sunday fun day! Up and ready to have fun! Pam and Richard stopped by for a little bit to hang out with us before they headed back down to Brittney's to spend the day with them before heading home!

She is getting toooo grown! :) This was the first of a TON of quests to find the perfect sea shells!

Then Daddy made her a mermaid! :)

Her tail has grown bigger since last year's beach trip! :)

Then after we had lunch by the pool...we spent the rest of the afternoon here! This thing is so much bigger than Lily! :)

Meet Riley and Adam! The little cutie is Rily and the bigger cutie is Adam! Alexis and Lily had so much fun all week playing with them! They played everything from swimming in the ocean, catching crabs/fish, digging in the sand, basketball, marco-polo, red light, green light, racing, seeing who could do a different jump/flip in the pool, football throwing while jumping in the water, tag, dumping buckets of water on each other's heads, eating popsicles, and just being silly!
Riley was down last year with us and the girls had fun with him last year too so it was neat when they figured it out and were like 'hey, I remember you!' :)

After clean-up...we hit J Michaels, some shopping and yogurt before calling it a night!

Monday blues.... we didnt care if it was overcast...we were up at 8:30 and out the door to the beach!

It was a perfect morning. With the overcast, it was still so nice but yet the heat was gone so we enjoyed it!

When you want a suntan..........and you want to still find the perfect seashells! :) :)

Then...we started to tell a storm was coming! We got a good 3 hours or a little more in before it started getting dark. Daddy and Lily tested the waters and look at those waves! They were back in quick because it started getting rough!

Back on dry land! :)

Riley and Lily played...and played...and played..in the water...out of the water...digging...running to our tent...back to his Mom's area...
They both have a TON of energy! :)

Then the bottom fell out...so we rushed in....cleaned up...and headed to Destin to shop since it was raining!

We were still in the shopping mood...but then the skies turned back gorgeous.....so we decided to make the trek back to PCB to enjoy the afternoon in the sun!
We stopped off at Texas Roadhouse to eat before heading back to the Condo! Lily wouldnt take off her new sunglasses! She loves some sunglasses!

And then this happened! I told the waitress that it was Mom's birthday {even though it wasnt until Wednesday} and they brought out this and made her sit on it and put that cowboy hat on! It was hilarious! I didnt know that they would make her do all of that! It was funny!!

Two cool chicks back at the condo...seeing the awesome sun rays through their shades and dying to get their bathing suits back on!

POOL time!

Then this happened! She decided that she was just going to swim by herself under the water! She does EVERYTHING on her own time.....and on this day.......she decided she was going to swim....and so she did! I have the cutest video of her swimming! It is adorable! :)

Then she decided that she could swim 'more better' with goggles on! :)

This chick enjoyed a popsicle...then saw Lily swimming....

And decided that they needed to race each other! Lily is so competitive so that actually helped her learn to swim better....because she was NOT going to let Alexis beat her! :)
