Winding down our Summer and our weekend!

 I know....I know....

it isnt 'Fall' yet....

it is still Summer.....

BUT....in my heart.....and in my mind {which is ALL that counts to me!} :)

It is Fall!

OH...it made my heart happy to put out some Fall decor!...............some Fall pumpkins.....my Fall football decor!

You better believe.....I did it!

And....I do not apologize for it! And OH........I love how my home feels!

Perfection!

We were low key this weekend!

First Friday night lights were awesome...until a huge thunderstorm came so we headed home super early and had an early night instead. Jacksonville ended up playing after a 2 hour weather delay and getting beat by Alexandria. That all stunk. Everyone that stayed....bless them! It was a nasty...long...wet night...with a loss.... boo!

I literally have gotten no other pictures the rest of the weekend. We stayed at home ALL day yesterday and it was glorious! Tyler and I studied, I decorated, the girls played and rested....it was all much needed!

Today has been pretty much the same...mixed with Church! Lex is with the Youth. They went to lunch and bowling at The Alley in Gadsden after Church! She was sooo excited! Lily is currently playing Roblox and eating a 'fun dip'.............soooo...she is living her best life! Lex has her 1st competition team cheer practice late this afternoon! Looking forward to her being selected to be on the team that is a mixture of junior high and Varsity! Yeah...how are we going to fit that in you ask?!!?! Well....the practices are sporadic and well gear up more after football season, so we should be okay with it! ha! :)

These girls selling programs!

These girls playing with each other and having the BEST time!

Friday night lights is BACK!

Oh how I love Fridays!...............and my most favorite is football Fridays!

Today marks the 1st one....in my book...because last week was an away game and just doesnt count! :)

Today is the first home game and we are so excited!

We had an EARLY morning! Alexis had to be at school by 7:00am so we were up early and ready to go!

My two Golden Eagles!

Lily and Alexis, both, were excited to wear their navy and gold.

This was my car bright and early! The pep rally was supposed to be in the afternoon but thanks to some parents begging to have the pep rally in the morning time so it wouldnt be so hot....they changed it!

So, that meant an early morning but at least we didnt die of heat during it!

The cheerleaders at their 1st pep rally of the season!

Alexis and her crew doing their thing!

Alllllll the students!
The 8th graders! Goodness it is crazy that I have an 8th grader! They WON the spirit stick! They were cheering and peppy! Proud of them!

Soccer has started!

 Lily is pumped.

Soccer started last night and she had her first practice and met her coaches and team! She said she has several friends on the team....but didnt tell me any names....soooo....not sure since Tyler took her to practice!

Most were not in this picture because they came later and I cant really see faces well to know if I know anyone. I am excited to watch her season coming up!

I didnt take this picture. ha! :)

Fullll weekend of volleyball!

Lex had her 1st volleyball tournament at Alexandria yesterday and it made for a long day!

We had to be there at 8:30 and didnt leave until around 4:45!

The girls played hard.............but whew....they need some team bonding!....and learn how to move their feet!

They lost to Ohatchee up first and they blew them out of the water. In retrospect....Ohatchee played 9th and 10th grades when technically it was a 7th, 8th and 9th grade tournament. {That Coach is a scumbag.....we all know him personally} and they went on to win the whole tournament.....which was not right....but they let him play who he played....soooo....

then up next, was Faith Christian. They beat Faith! Both teams were aligned. They were all the same age and playing level {along with all the other teams} so it was a great game! Tyler also was line judge! He did an awesome job! Lex played! She had some great passes. Missed a couple.....but overall, she played well when she was in!

Next was Oxford. They lost first round. Won the 2nd round and then lost the 3rd round to them. They didnt play as well against Oxford as they did against Faith....but they won the 2nd round which was awesome and then was a point shy of winning 3rd. It was a bummer. It knocked them down with their confidence...{us parents could tell} Alexis played in this game too! She did good. Her nerves seemed to have gotten to her some.....and the feet NEED to move....but she was excited to get to play again!.......then they had a break and we relaxed and had lunch for them...

and then last game was Springville. Well.....because of the crush from Oxford....and the break....they just didnt even show up...it seemed like at this game and got crushed. It was painful to watch! :)

All the girls enjoyed spending the day with each other...and thank goodness I like the parents because our cheering section was strong! We cheered...we shook the poms....we kept the team going! ha!

We hit a thrift store and Mexican before coming home to crash! Today is full of Church and then Tyler and I are doing school work! Yep...its that time again!

Waiting for their turn to warm-up!

Gracious...Ohatchee drove me crazy! :)
I didnt take many pictures....but one of Alexis' shining moments!
And...last but NOT least....the best line judge around! He did an outstanding job! :)

Alexis' 1st volleyball game!

 She was sooooo excited!

She really loves volleyball!

She was bummed she didnt play in the 1st game....but like her Daddy and I told her, it is her first year....everyone else has played before, just give it some time!

It was a great game! They played hard! It brought back fond memories.

Now....I wanted to get out there and coach them....they need it... ha....and my coaching is what they need! :) Goodness.....I may just have to bust up in the huddle at some point {before this season is over} and tell them a few things I learned in alllll my years and from some of the best coaches around! :)

Alexis will be mortified....so I wont do that.............maybe...who knows...maybe I will! :)

I'll just have to wait and see what I do myself! ha! :)

Cant wait to watch the rest of the season and see them get better and better!

Good looking team! JHS Jr. High!

They were ahead during this match! They were pumped!

IN....to our 1st long week!

Today is Thursday....we have made it so far!

We are surviving!

Tonight Alexis has her 1st volleyball game!

Along with that...........we got a text that the whole volleyball team is under 'exposure' as someone on the JV team has tested positive. Under the new guidelines.............since the students are masked, they do not have to quarantine. They only have to watch their symptoms and if they get sick...they must stay home....

soooo.....Alexis.........and the entire team.........doesnt get to miss their 1st game tonight!

It is thunder storming as I type this...and it is 12:30pm......the team gets to ride the bus together {oh I love this...allll the fun memories of my friends and I riding to our games. I am so excited for Alexis!} and it is down right FLOODING outside!

Goodness gracious I hope the rain slacks off in an hour or so...so they can enjoy getting on the bus and going to their game.

Sometimes.......its always something........

but today was also picture day so I snapped a picture of Lex. Next week will be Lily's....but she has just been doing soooo good getting herself up and ready....with her clothes picked out on her own lately that I snapped a picture of her too!

Lily's Baptism!

 Today...OH what a day!

Our little family is complete!

Lily made the decision and gave her heart to Christ on July 11th at VBS when she went to Nan's Church, Hillcrest.

She wanted to be baptized at our home Church and today was the day that the Lord rejoices and she has let everyone know her great decision!

So proud of her and honored!

Her Daddy ready to help out!

Look at this sweet girl!

We love Dr. Derek Staples. Such a wonderful man! Lily said she was so nervous! :)

So special!

Such a wonderful moment!

Rejoice!

We came back to our house and then went to celebrate at Effinas for brunch! Such a wonderful day!
Love family coming to celebrate and support Lily!
Such a special day full of celebration and thankfulness!

The best invention EVER!

We had a low-key weekend but....let me tell you.....it was one of the BEST and one that goes down in the memory books!

Why!?!!

1st up...reason 1.......LOOK at this baby!

Tyler built this for me and it is the BEST! I dont know why we havent had this made years ago! ha!

I am in LOVE!

What is it....you say!?!?!

THIS!..........................yes......................it makes me happy! I have not been happy with our laundry room.....ever...and NOW it has met its potential! :)

No more seeing litter boxes....and hopefully helps with smell and dust! OH....best day ever!

Lily had Ryker's 10th birthday pool party! She had a blast swimming and being with friends!

And today.....reason number 2.....BUT MOST important....Lily was baptized today! She enjoyed opening her little gifts from us! A beautiful cross that has her baptism date on it and then a new Bible!

It deserves its own post....so coming next!

Rocking and rolling!

The last day of the first week!

This week is NOTHING compared to what next week will bring.

5 FULL days back at it for all 3 of us....and ohh....I feel it now....its going to hurt....

but....its that time and HERE we go!....again....

Lily said that yesterday was a great 1st day back! She said that she didnt have to wear her mask as much as she did last year so she was excited about that!

Alexis said she was excited to be with her friends in her class. She has more classes with her 'best' friends this year so she is happy....and likes her schedule as well....and said that she has mastered opening up her locker....

so both had a great day!

Today marked day 2!

They both were up and excited today as well!...............and its FRIDAY! Whoo hoo! :)

This was my '1st day!' Well....not really...JSU classes do not start until next week but this was the first day that all faculty and staff had to report back to work and be on campus. Summer is officially over!

Masks................YEAH....they are back....and it stinks!!.....but I survived and hopefully it wont be long until we dont have to wear them anymore. We shall see!

This picture cracks me up! I look like I am asleep or something! {Which I was...Im tired!} :) ha!

Alllllll my classmates! ha!.......................actually co-workers! Here we are in our annual 1st meeting as a department. I love all my co-workers as we are the best department on campus! {really...we are!}

2nd day of school picture! I grabbed a picture before off she went this morning! I know...its 100 degrees outside.................just a loosing battle......she picks her own outfits! :)

Day 2 for this one! MY goodness.....no little girl anymore at all! She picks all of her outfits out now. No unicorns.....no anything 'baby'.......she is wearing lip gloss and making sure I straightened her hair. Where has the time gone?!?!
Pray for us that we all transition into our full and busy week....next week...as that is when alll the fun will really begin! :)

1st day of 4th and 8th grade!

Today marks the first day of 4th and 8th grade! Both girls were up and ready to go this morning. No having to push them to get ready or anything! Both so excited!

I pray they both have a great year! They grow and learn so much and meet new, sweet, friends.

Here's to a great year!

They were attempting to drop their masks while I took the picture...so it would show them falling...it didnt turn out like I expected! ha!

An 8th grader....just wow!
A 4th grader! Wow too!
Another year...with a Pandemic...wearing masks....anxious about it all....but with HIS plan, they will do great things!
Cutie!
So grown!
Heading out the door!
Ready to go and give her teacher, Mrs. Smith, her 1st day of school gift! I 'soap' they all have a great year!
