Another surprise party!

 How many surprise party can one girl have..........

well...

as many as we can have!

We had a family surprise party at Alexis' favorite restaurant! We enjoyed eating, chatting and celebrating our 13 year old!

She was surprised!....but said she saw everyone's car out in the parking lot. Ha!

Then Lily informed us that we left her out of the family picture. Well.....sooo...we took a family picture! :)

Then she got another surprise as they sang to her and brought her ice cream! She had a great night with family and felt so loved!

We booked it to tumbling right after so we had a full night!

BOOM!

 Well....it was touch and go for the longest if the fireworks were even going to happen.

When we first got there...it was a beautiful afternoon! We enjoyed walking around and seeing the cars...and getting ice cream and Kona Ice {for the 2nd time in the same day!}

Then...out of no where...........the bottom fell out! Huge dark clouds and thunder and lightening with heavy rain! Luckily we were inside so we all just hung out and waited for it to end.

About 8:30 the rain stopped and the fireworks happened!

We sat way too close................so the BOOMS and the smoke was a lot but the actual fireworks were great!

WK came with us....and the booked it to the ice cream! We enjoyed Cane Creek Grill before heading over. It was delish!

Tyler enjoyed all the cars. He said this was his favorite.

And ran into Grey and Gran so we saw them for a little bit!

These two sure do love hanging out with each other.

They had a blast hitting Alexis' old birthday balloons! ha! I knew they would be a hit so I brought them!

Finally time! It was worth it.......................if we would have backed up from them! ha! But a great show! Cassell jumped up and down the entire time because she loved them so much! :)

The rest of our weekend!....and so it begins...

 We were pretty low-key the rest of our weekend since we had such a big night Friday.

Saturday......AND....so it begins...

Tyler and I spent our entire Saturday pretty much doing this. Summer classes........have started. It rained some as well so we just stayed in and enjoyed doing nothing. Well....doing this...it was not really enjoyable....   :)

Sunday we had Church and lunch and then spent the afternoon playing outside and enjoying Kona Ice coming to the neighborhood!

Lily started running when she heard the music! They were so excited!

SURPRISE for your 13!

 Whew.....

 I have to say...I am tired...but it was a great afternoon celebrating Alexis and her turning 13!

She thought she wasnt going to have a birthday party because I told her that the California trip was her birthday!

She had no clue!

I hoped none of her friends would spill.....................Tyler spilled to Lily {of all people....} Lily can NOT keep a secret...but after threatening her.............she kept it! :) but....it never go to Alexis and she was surprised!

Big thanks for Gran for helping me decorate, Aunt Pam for some of the cute decor and Nan and Pawpaw for keeping her away from home so I could set everything up and pull off the surprise!

Most all of her friends were able to make it {it is always so hard since her birthday is during a major holiday} so she was so happy to see all that came!

They did everything under the sun....volleyball....wiffleball, all things in the basement and more! Just hanging out and seeing each other since most havent since school has been out. 

Nan helped distract Lex today!

Sweet Summertime!

 THIS is what I LOVE!

We have been gone...then friends gone....and then just busy...and then...this and that...and that and this...

that the neighborhood kids have not gotten to do this as much as in the past so yesterday afternoon...it made my heart smile as this is the most wonderful sight....to me...and the number one reason why I just love where we live!

 Alexis, KeAshia and Sydney went to our Church and had a great afternoon full of Jesus, pizza and games!

Then, they all hung out with the growing crew after!

 

And...then these two begged to spend the night! They were so tired....but just HAD to curl up and watch a movie.

And...this crew begged to spend the night as well! They were on the STRUGGLE bus to get up and all go to volleyball the next morning. I tried to tell them......

Note...Alexis is currently asleep...at 7:30 as I type this the next night because she is so tired from the night before. :) She said....it was worth it! :)

Father's day weekend with a boat ride!

 We got back Saturday afternoon....and as SOON as we were able...and had Alexis home...

they just could not wait to go ahead and give Tyler his Father's day gifts even though it was the very next day!

So, they did just that!

Alexis spent some time with Nan, Pawpaw, Aunt Pam, Richard and Gran while we were gone. Pam sent me this picture of Alexis. She said she had so much fun driving! :)

Once back home..............Daddy looking at all of his goodies! {Alexis was squeezing the mess out of Soccer because she said she has missed him}

The actual day! Church ready!

A Daddy and his two girls! We had lunch after Church and then for dinner we cooked out at the Messers to celebrate the day! Tyler threw in cutting the grass and I threw in a couple of loads of laundry...ya know...we have been gone on vaca! ha!

We love you, Tyler, and are always thankful for you and what all you do for us!
