A look back on the year!
Some...sad times... good times...GREAT times and more!
Sweet...sweet memories!
Here is a look back!
January:
What a wonderful way to kick off 2018! Lily won Kindergarten beauty in the 1st Jacksonville school pageant! {Alexis wasnt in the pageant due to her and I were in NYC when it was originally supposed to have been!}
Apparently the month of January in 2018 was ALL about Lily! :)
She mastered riding her bike without training wheels so she rode the trail with us for the first time! Her baby and her were ready! {that 'helmet' on her doll CRACKED me up!} :) :)
And...this was majorly celebrated the 100th day of school in January! She was 100 days smarter! :)
February:
A lot of fun memories for February! Daddy had two dates to the Daddy/Daughter dance at school! They always LOVE this dance!
Our little family of four went to our very 1st Auburn gymnastics meet! We love Auburn...and loved our 1st time!
These two celebrated Valentine's day with their babies too! :)
Flower picking....I mean soccer started up in February! :)
THIS girl got BRACES in February!
And..biggest highlight of February!.....................this little guy was born! Welcome to the world sweet baby Grey!
March:
We celebrated Mal about to be Mrs. Nabors!
We went to Graceland in Memphis for the 1st time! We loved Graceland....not so much Memphis! We had a great one day trip with the Ray family!
Then....this! We had our Spring break trip to Memphis with the Ray family cut super short...due to the March 19th tornado. No lives were lost {amazing} however JSU and Jacksonville got hit really hard by the tornado. We thank God and our blessings that our house only had the damage that it did. Thankful,too, that we were not home during the storm to have to experience it along with the tree coming through!
To turn around the month of March..........THIS!
OH WHAT a wonderful DAY it was! Easter morning 2018 Alexis confirmed her salvation by being baptized at our wonderful Church with her Daddy and Pastor, Dr. Derek with her! OH what a wonderful day!
And...this one rounded out Easter with eggs! TONS of eggs! :)
Alexis started Cast Kidz for the 1st time in March! She loved being on stage and in the lights!
And...to cap off March, Lily had her 1st soccer game! She is just SO good at soccer! I just love watching and cheering her on!
April:
We celebrated birthdays galore in April! April is always a busy birthday celebration month! I ALWAYS love having the Mexican restaurant people surprise Tyler! He never...NEVER knows when I tell them its his birthday! :)
Alexis had her 1st Cast Kidz performance and she ROCKED it! I loved seeing her up on stage doing what she loves! She just shines singing and dancing! She was a munchkin in The Wiz!
And...we celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Nabors with a beautiful rehearsal and wedding!
Love all these people! Alexis was a junior bridesmaid for the 1st time! Lily was the best and most beautiful flower girl ever!
Lily had her very 1st Kindergarten field trip! She loves the Imagination Place...and its even better with her friends!
May:
Alexis had her 1st field trip with her Daddy to the Rome Braves baseball game! Perfect way to end the school year! Victorya was partnered with them! :)
Alexis had another performance with Cast! She was a 'lost boy' in Neverland! :)
We went floating for the 1st time of the 'Summer!'
Dance time! Lily just shined on stage too!
Alexis' 5th year of dance with WPA! She was honored on stage and got her flowers and 5 year award!
Schhoooollllsss out....and look at all the awards Lex racked up at Award's day!
Lily sang her heart out at her end of the school year show!
Straight OUTTA school! Goodbye Kindergarten and 4th grade!
We made a MAD dash down to Destin to stay with LaLa when school was out! OH...OH...OH...soooo nice and just what I needed!
June:
We always love kicking off 'Summer' with our traditional picnic at Germania Springs!
VBS! We had the BEST one yet in 2018!
Girls had their 1st spend the night crew of the Summer! These girls were so good and played and played and enjoyed being outside after a fun night of spending the night!
Alexis WON the Talent Show at the Summer Camp! She finally did a talent show and won! She wont ever do the one at school...but she finally did this one and sang and got 1st place!
We made it to the Atlanta Braves game for the 1st time of the Summer!
THE BEACH! Need I say more!
OH how we love the beach every year!
These three were SOOOO super surprised that we were taking them all to see Taylor Swift! Such a fun memory!
July:
Lex turned 10!!! WHAT?!?! She requested dinner and a 'shopping spree' for her birthday! So...her best-est of best friends came with her and she picked everything they did! So...sushi and buying something in 'all' the stores for the win! :)
On Lex's actual birthday, day, we all celebrated with Mexican!
And...the traditional whip cream on the face! :)
We celebrated the 4th of July with sweet friends for the 1st time...and loved watching fireworks!
Then...we took off to Auburn! Love!
Tyler and I celebrated our anniversary together with a 'date day!'
Lex had her very 1st danceline camp! She tried out danceline this year for the 1st time!
And....this little one became a cheerleader for the 1st time and had her first cheer camp!
These two enjoyed the sprinklers on the trampoline for the 1st time of the season!
And...biggest moment...she got her braces off!
August:
Our neighborhood had our 1st 'Bash' and it was a blast!
We hosted it and the kids played...we ate...the parents chatted as we enjoyed the late Summer and the late nights!
School's back! These two started 1st and 5th grade!
The annual Law Family reunion took place!
These three played in the creek for the 1st time together before dinner and a spend the night party!
And....this fun bunch went to Taylor Swift and had the best girl's trip in Atlanta!
Officially official...finally a cheerleader! This girl LOVES being a cheerleader!
September:
Lily turned 7! We celebrated with ALLL of her friends and a unicorn! :) She requested a roller skating birthday...so that is what she got! OH my goodness...she is a pro at skating! I had to drag her out at the end...she skated her heart out!
These 3 were TOTALLY surprised that we were taking them to their 1st concert!
Alexis had her 1st danceline performance...and rocked it!
Tyler and I had a great date night {even with the slight rain} to the Alabama, Charlie Daniels and a TON more performers JSU benefit concert for the March Tornado! There was a HUGE crowd!
Friday night lights started back! OH...our favorite!
We love Friday nights at the football field with friends!
We took off to Auburn for Labor Day....and these two went to a new jump place and LOVED it!
We checked out the Rome hot air balloon festival with Gran and Ben! It was neat to see how huge the balloons were!
Tyler and I made it to our one and only Auburn game of the season!
October:
We all Kidzzzz Bopped! We had the best night!
Daddy had a Homecoming date! Lily's first Homecoming! Meet the Homecoming Queen! :)
And...Alexis' first danceline Homecoming with her sweet escort, Sam Parker!
Lily had her very 1st field trip as a 1st grader with her Daddy to the Birmingham Zoo!
We hosted our Sunday school class...and alllll of their kiddos for a full and fun October afternoon full of food, laughs and carving pumpkins!
Our littles had their 1st Halloween/Fall fest party! They had smores, a fire pit with hay....pumpkin carving...candy..hot chocolate kind of night!
We had our 1st family photo shoot of the Fall season! :)
We went to a new pumpkin patch for the 1st time with this crew and had sooooo much fun!
And....OH...I love Halloween! I was a Woopie cushion for the 1st time! :) :)
November:
We had some Champions! They WON their division! These boys are great!
Alexis' group of football players...and her favorite one, Sam Parker, had a great season! Lily's little group played hard and made it to the play-offs but did not win.
I had lunch with this turkey for Thanksgiving!
I had lunch with the other turkey...she just didnt want a picture with me! :)
She finished her 1st cheer season with a bang and this cute trophy!
Alexis ended her 1st danceline season with this cool trophy too!
We had a girl's 1st night with this crew to see The Nutcracker! We LOVED this movie!
We gobbled until we wobbled at LaLa's and then also at Nan and Pawpaw's for Thanksgiving!
December:
We kicked off December with the Jacksonville Christmas parade! OH how we love this and it kicking off Christmas!
We went to Blue Ridge, Georgia and had the best time with this group! We stayed in a cabin for the 1st time and rode a train too!
My 1st cookie swap party! I survived it! haha!
My annual Christmas party! OH my favorite!
The girls sang at Church and did awesome!
These two celebrated their 1st Christmas!...with dinner and opening gifts from each other! :)
Lex did the Advent speaking at Church and did an awesome job!
This baby had his 1st Christmas ever and I would say he had a great one! We all had a wonderful Christmas to kick off a new year coming!
Cant wait to see what 2019 holds! My prayer is for all of us to be thankful for each and every day God gives us and no matter if we have hard days, know that God has us in his hands!
